This product has been shown to be effective for the vaccination of healthy dogs 8 weeks of age or older against Bordetella bronchiseptica. Duration of immunity has not been established. For more information regarding efficacy and safety data, see productdata.aphis.usda.gov.

Vanguard Recombishield Injectable Bordetella is a nonadjuvanted, antigenic formulation consisting of a recombinant protein and antigenic extract prepared from cells of B. bronchiseptica.

Directions For Use

Shake well and aseptically administer 1 mL subcutaneously. Healthy dogs should receive two doses administered 3-4 weeks apart. For advice on revaccination, consultation with a veterinarian or the manufacturer is recommended.

Precautions

Store at 2°-8°C, with lid closed. Prolonged exposure to higher temperatures and/or direct light may adversely affect potency. Do not freeze. This product has not been tested in pregnant animals. In case of anaphylactoid reaction, administer epinephrine. Do not mix with other products. In case of human exposure, contact a physician.

This product has been shown to be efficacious in healthy animals. A protective immune response may not be elicited if animals are incubating an infectious disease, are malnourished or parasitized, are stressed due to shipment or environmental conditions, are otherwise immunocompromised, or the vaccine is not administered in accordance with label directions.
