FOR VETERINARY USE ONLY

ANTIBIOTIC

FOR FEED MANUFACTURING USE ONLY

Active Ingredient

Virginiamycin, 44 g/kg

V-Max 44 Indications

Cattle fed in confinement for slaughter: Reduction of incidence of liver abscesses.

Mixing And Feeding Directions

To reduce the development of antimicrobial resistance and maintain effectiveness, use this antibiotic only during periods of increased risk of ruminal acidosis, for the shortest duration required.

Due to the multifactorial approach needed to reduce the risk of liver abscesses, the management of the animals’ vaccination status, environment and nutrition should be optimized prior to or concurrently with antibiotic treatment.

Thoroughly mix V-Max 44 premix with complete feed in quantities depending on the dosage as per the table below. To ensure proper mixing, the premix should first be diluted in an intermediate blending step prior to adding to the final blend. The medicated feed can be prepared in the form of meal or pellets.
