Contents: SOMUBAC® consists of inactivated, standardized cultures of Haemophilus somnus, adjuvanted with aluminum hydroxide.
Somubac Indications
For vaccination of healthy cattle and calves as an aid in preventing disease caused by Haemophilus somnus.
Directions For Use
Shake well before using. Administer a single 2-mL dose subcutaneously to healthy cattle 3 months of age or older, followed by a second dose 2-4 weeks later. In accordance with Beef Quality Assurance guidelines, this product should be administered subcutaneously (SC) under the skin. Annual revaccination with a single dose is recommended.
Precaution(s): Store at 2°-7°C. Do not freeze. Use entire contents when first opened. Sterilized syringes and needles should be used to administer this vaccine.
Caution(s): As with many vaccines, anaphylaxis may occur after use. Initial antidote of epinephrine is recommended and should be followed with appropriate supportive therapy.
Warning(s): Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter.
