Iodophor II Indications
As an aid in sanitary prepping of cows' udders and teats just prior to milking.
DIRECTIONS FOR UDDER WASHING:
1. Prepare the udder washing solution in plastic pail, using 16 mL Iodophor II Udder Wash to 10 litres warm water, 43° to 46° C (110° to 115° F).
2. Approximately one minute before application of the machine, wash and massage the teats and udder with this solution, using a paper towel which has been soaked in the solution.
3. After gentle washing and massage of the udder, press the excess solution from the towel and use the reverse side to dry the teats and udder.
4. Discard the used towel and use a clean towel for each cow.
5. Check udder with a strip cup or screening paddle before applying the machine.
Use in recommended dilutions.
USE SOLUTION INTENDED TO BE DISCARDED IMMEDIATELY AFTER USE.
AFTER USE, RINSE EMPTY CONTAINER THOROUGHLY WITH WATER AND DISCARD IT.
TABLE OF DILUTIONS:
16 mL Iodophor II Udder Wash to 10 litres provides 25 ppm titratable iodine.
CAUTION: AVOID CONTAMINATION OF UDDER WASH SOLUTION BY DIRT AND SOIL. DO NOT DIP USED TOWEL BACK INTO SOLUTION. WHEN SOLUTION BECOMES VISIBLY DIRTY, DISCARD AND PROVIDE FRESH SOLUTIONS.
DANGER! KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
CAUSES EYE AND SKIN BURNS. CAUSES RESPIRATORY TRACT IRRITATION. HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED. DO NOT ingest. Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing. Wear impervious gloves, chemical splash goggles and apron. Avoid breathing vapour or mist. Keep container closed. Use only with adequate ventilation. Wash thoroughly after handling.
FIRST AID:
EYES: In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with cool running water. Remove contact lenses and continue flushing with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention immediately.
SKIN: In case of contact, immediately flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash clothing before reuse. Clean shoes thoroughly before reuse. Get medical attention immediately.
INHALATION: If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical attention immediately.
INGESTION: Rinse mouth; then drink one or two large glasses of water. DO NOT induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical attention immediately.
Storage
Store only in original or properly marked container. Keep container closed between uses. Do not store above 46°C (115°F). Keep from freezing.Made in U.S.A.
