For all labelled uses, treatment must only be repeated after 7 days if pest problem persists or reoccurs. Good sanitary practices should be maintained to prevent re-infestation.
HOW TO APPLY
Apply as a space spray, crack and crevice, perimeter*, spot, broadcast* or furniture (listed storage furniture only) treatment. *PERIMETER AND BROADCAST TREATMENTS ARE PERMITTED IN POULTRY HOUSES ONLY.
SPACE APPLICATION is a suspension of fine droplets in the air within an indoor space.
CRACK AND CREVICE is an application directly into narrow openings on the surface of the structure. It does not include the treatment of exposed surfaces. Narrow openings typically occur at expansion joints, utility entry points and along baseboards and mouldings.
PERIMETER APPLICATION in poultry houses is less than 0.3 m wide along the edges of a room to baseboards, wall-floor and ceiling-wall joints, and around doorways or windows.
SPOT APPLICATION is localized to a surface area not more than 0.2 m2. Spots are not to be adjoining and the combined area of spots is not to exceed 10% of the total surface area of a room. BROADCAST APPLICATION in poultry houses is to broad expanses of indoor structural surfaces such as walls, floors, ceilings and indoor foundation walls/crawlspaces.
FURNITURE TREATMENT: broadcast application covers large areas of the entire surface of items; crack and crevice treatments are applications to junction points on items; and spot application is up to 10% of the surface of the item.
GENERAL DIRECTIONS PRIOR TO THE TREATMENT OF LISTED STORED PRODUCT PESTS: Good sanitation is necessary for effective treatment of listed stored product pests. Before treatment, remove and dispose of all residues (e.g., deposits and accumulations of food/feed products, waste grain, debris, dust, dirt) and thoroughly vacuum and clean indoor structural surfaces, including walls, floors, ceilings, rafters and door frames; interior and exterior surfaces of conveying, processing and handling equipment; pantries, cabinets, drawers and shelves; and around stored product containers, especially in cracks and crevices (discard vacuum bag after use).
SPACE APPLICATION
To kill flies, mosquitoes, biting midges (no-see-ums), house flies, lesser house flies, stable flies, horse flies, deer flies, horn flies, black flies, Indian meal moths, angoumois grain moths, tobacco moths, clothes moths, chocolate moths, almond moths and miller moths: Before using as a space spray in structures with livestock, remove all livestock, with exception of poultry, from area to be treated. Close all windows and doors and shut off all ventilating systems and sources of ignition before treatment. While holding can upright at arm’s length, direct the spray in sweeping motion to all parts of the room, especially upward to ceiling, upper corners of the room, windows and other light sources, and around pallets, stacks of stored products and stored product containers, and not directly towards poultry. Begin application at far side of the room and work backwards toward exit. DO NOT exceed 5-10 second per 30 m3. Vacate the treated area and keep windows and doors closed for 15 minutes before ventilating. For ventilation and re-entry requirements, see “Use Limitations for All Uses” (above). After the re-entry interval has passed, clean up dead insects.
SURFACE APPLICATION
GENERAL DIRECTIONS FOR SURFACE TREATMENTS: Apply spray at the rate of 30 seconds for each 28 square meters of surface area. Keep area closed for 45 minutes after treatment. Ventilate room 20 minutes before re-entry
To kill cockroaches (brown banded cockroach, German cockroach, American cockroach, Oriental cockroach), crickets, firebrat, silverfish, booklice, spiders, centipedes, sowbugs, pillbugs, earwigs, clover mites, millipedes, ants, pharaoh ants and carpenter ants [Eastern (Western)]:
Thoroughly treat indoor structural surfaces, including cracks and crevices in walls, floors and ceilings; along and behind baseboards; around water pipes and tanks; walls behind and floors beneath appliances (e.g., refrigerators and stoves) and furniture (e.g., cabinets, storage units, bookcases); around sinks, drains and pipes; localized areas around garbage cans and dumpsters; and other structural elements where listed pests congregate. Also spray the interior and exterior surfaces of garbage cans and dumpsters. For ants, pharaoh ants, and carpenter ants, also spray trails, nests and areas of entry (e.g., around windows and doors).
For use in canneries, food warehouses and dried fruit storage areas to kill cadelles, rice weevils, granary weevils, flat grain beetles, cigarette beetles, confused flour beetles, drugstore beetles, lesser grain borer, merchant grain beetles, sawtoothed grain beetles, warehouse beetles, red flour beetles, grain mites, cheese mites, and yellow mealworms: After sanitation measures have been performed, thoroughly treat indoor structural surfaces, including walls, floors and ceilings; empty cabinets, drawers and shelves; food processing and handling equipment (not in operation); and other structural elements where listed pests congregate, directing the spray into cracks and crevices. Also spray localized areas around cartons or stored product containers. Treated cabinets, drawers and shelves or equipment must be dry before replacing stored items or before operating.
For use in grain storage sites of grain warehouses, grain elevators, rice mills, wheat mills, seed warehouses, farms and listed modes of transport to kill the stored product pests listed above: This product can be used in warehouse bins, grain or hopper bins, truck beds and cargo ships’ holds as a cleanup prior to using them for storage or for transit. This product can also be used to treat conveying equipment.
In mills and elevators, remove all accumulations of infested grain from bins. Thoroughly clean walls, rafters, floors and door frames, and all storage and conveying equipment by sweeping or vacuuming the waste grain, cobwebs and other debris, with special attention to material lodged in cracks and crevices. Remove and burn all of the debris to kill eggs and insects that might be present.
For farms, give particular attention to cleaning up around used feed and grain bags, grain residues from wagons, harvesting equipment and feed troughs. DO NOT place newly harvested grain in the same bin with carry-over grain. All carry-over grain stocks that are not treated with grain protectant should be fumigated using a registered product intended for this purpose. Perform these cleaning operations within two or three weeks before harvest.
After above sanitation measures have been performed and prior to use for storage or for transit, thoroughly treat conveying equipment (not in operation) and indoor surfaces of empty structures, including walls, floors and ceilings, and along partition boards, paying particular attention to forcing the spray into all cracks and crevices. Treated warehouse bins, equipment and surfaces of listed storage structures must be dry prior to use for storage or for loading prior to transit.
For use in poultry houses and on poultry to kill poultry lice and darkling beetles: Thoroughly spray roosts, walls and nests or cages. DO NOT exceed 1 second per m2. After treating the structural surfaces of the poultry house, spray product over the poultry. DO NOT exceed 5-10 seconds per 30 m3.

RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS
For resistance management, Doktor Doom Lice Killer for Poultry Plus+ contains a Group 3 insecticide. Any insect population may contain individuals naturally resistant to Doktor Doom Lice Killer for Poultry Plus+ and other Group 3 insecticides. The resistant individuals may dominate the insect population if this group of insecticides is used repeatedly in the same locations. Other resistance mechanisms that are not linked to site of action but are specific for individual chemicals, such as enhanced metabolism, may also exist. Appropriate resistance-management strategies should be followed. To delay insecticide resistance:
● Where possible, rotate the use of Doktor Doom Lice Killer for Poultry Plus+ or other Group 3 insecticides with different groups that control the same pests in the location to be treated.
● Insecticide use should be based on an IPM program that includes scouting and record keeping, and considers cultural, biological and other chemical control practices.
● Monitor treated pest populations for resistance development.
● Contact your local extension specialist or certified crop advisors for any additional pesticide resistance-management and/or IPM recommendations for the specific site and pest problems in your area.
For further information or to report suspected resistance contact Ultrasol Industries.
