Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction while taking glucosamine (the active ingredient contained in Genicin) hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Common side effects may include:

  • nausea, vomiting;

  • diarrhea, constipation; or

  • heartburn.
