Does doxycycline cause kidney pain?
Medically reviewed by Drugs.com. Last updated on Oct 21, 2021.
Abdominal or stomach tenderness is a known side effect of doxycycline.
Renal side effects associated with tetracyclines have included a dose-related rise in BUN (blood urea nitrogen).
There is no other renal side effect noted, however if you feel pain then I would suggest that you discuss it with your doctor.
