2 potential interactions and/or warnings found for the following 2 drugs:
- Solaraze (diclofenac topical)
- tolmetin
Interactions between your drugs
tolmetin diclofenac topical
Applies to: tolmetin, Solaraze (diclofenac topical)
Talk to your doctor before using diclofenac topical together with tolmetin. Both of these medications are considered nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Since the medication in diclofenac topical may be absorbed from the skin, combining it with tolmetin may increase the risk and/or severity of side effects reported with this class of drugs, including stomach ulcer, fluid retention, high blood pressure, bleeding, and liver or kidney problems. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Drug and food/lifestyle interactions
tolmetin food/lifestyle
Applies to: tolmetin
Ask your doctor before using tolmetin together with ethanol (alcohol). Do not drink alcohol while taking tolmetin. Alcohol can increase your risk of stomach bleeding caused by tolmetin. Call your doctor at once if you have symptoms of bleeding in your stomach or intestines. This includes black, bloody, or tarry stools, or coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

No duplication warnings were found for your selected drugs.
Therapeutic duplication warnings are only returned when drugs within the same group exceed the recommended therapeutic duplication maximum.
