Applies to: indocyanine green, Aemcolo (rifamycin)
MONITOR: Concomitant use of certain medicinal products and injectables may alter indocyanine green absorption. Cyclopropane, probenecid and rifamycin may increase the absorption of indocyanine green. The mechanism of interaction has not been described. In addition, probenecid may depress the biliary secretion of indocyanine green which may also affect liver function test results.
MANAGEMENT: Caution is recommended if a patient is co-administered the abovementioned drugs and indocyanine green. Test results may be affected.
