Using indomethacin together with ticlopidine can cause you to bleed more easily. Call your doctor promptly if you have any unusual bleeding or bruising, vomiting, blood in your urine or stools, headache, dizziness, or weakness. Food can enhance the levels of ticlopidine in your body. Take ticlopidine with food or just after eating to lessen stomach upset. This will make it easier for your body to absorb the medication.

Ask your doctor before using indomethacin together with ethanol (alcohol). Do not drink alcohol while taking indomethacin. Alcohol can increase your risk of stomach bleeding caused by indomethacin. Call your doctor at once if you have symptoms of bleeding in your stomach or intestines. This includes black, bloody, or tarry stools, or coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds.
