Consuming large amounts of certain fruit juices, including grapefruit, orange and apple, may decrease the levels of fexofenadine in your body. Fexofenadine should be taken with water and refrain from drinking large amounts of grapefruit, orange, or apple juice. This will make it easier for your body to absorb the medication.

Food may reduce the absorption and blood levels of eltrombopag. In addition, minerals such as aluminum, calcium, iron, magnesium, and zinc can also interfere with eltrombopag absorption into the bloodstream, which may make the medication less effective in treating your condition. You should take eltrombopag on an empty stomach one hour before or two hours after a meal. Eltrombopag should also be taken at least 2 hours before or 4 hours after products like antacids, mineral supplements, dairy products, and fortified juices.
