Usual Adult Dose for Cutaneous Candidiasis

Cream: Apply to affected area(s) 2 times daily.
Ointment: Apply to affected area(s) 3 times daily.

<2 months: Safety and efficacy have not been established.
2 months-18 years:
Cream: Apply to affected area(s) 2 times daily.
Ointment: Apply to affected area(s) 3 times daily.

Precautions

Not to be used in the eyes.

Occlusive dressings should not be used.

Tight-fitting diapers or plastic pants should not be worn by pediatric patients who are being treated in the diaper area.

Discontinue use if symptoms not resolved after 25 days.

Due to their smaller body surface area to weight ratio, infants and children may be more susceptible to topical corticosteroid-induced HPA axis suppression and Cushing's syndrome.
