For Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "Taking it since November 2023 for SLL. Within a week, all bulky adenopathy melted away with transient high lymphocyte blood levels, but normal range in a few months. I have mild fatigue and low immune function, but have not been ill otherwise. Constipation managed with Metamucil and diet changes. I noticed slightly increased bleeding during oral care and just noticed petechiae on my legs today, very minor. Labs have been good, but decreasing neutrophils, basophils, eosinophils. 160 mg bid"

For Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "My mom, 74 years old, started taking Brukinsa recently on Aug 20, 2024. All swelling lymph nodes on the collarbone and underarms are gone. She is losing a little weight, no side effects. I have noticed some skin dryness and wrinkles around the neck, a little fatigue, but overall, much better than before treatment. Thanks to the lymphoma clinic in Fred Hutch Cancer Center, Seattle, and thanks to the Beigene company and their support team."

For Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "I just started Brukinsa 3 weeks ago. I take 320 mg in one dose in the morning. It has not caused any discomforting symptoms. I had lab work done today, and my lymphocyte count went from 171 x 1000 down to 65 x 1000. My platelets are well within the normal range, but my hemoglobin went from 10 down to 9.5."

For Mantle Cell Lymphoma "Brukinsa put me in remission within a 6-month timeframe of starting the treatment. Benefits are it has kept me in remission for almost 12 months. Very pleased with the results. As for side effects, I've experienced rashes, musculoskeletal pain, muscle spasms, fatigue, and occasional stomach constipation or diarrhea. I take 320 mg per day, 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening."

For Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "Side effects come and go but are common, lasting a few hours or a couple of days, like joint and muscle pain, especially to areas that were previously injured. Otherwise, no problem handling them. Remission occurred in six months."

For Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "Continuing to work extremely well after one year. Some fatigue, and presently having persistent nasal congestion and sneezing, but not sure if it is from the medication. All of my blood counts returned to normal after one month, and have remained normal."

For Waldenström Macroglobulinemia "Was totally fatigued and had severe weight loss. Two weeks on Brukinsa, noticed the difference. Taking 160mg in the morning and 160mg in the evening. After taking these for one year, my weight is back to normal, no serious side effects, did have some bruising at the start. Healed quickly."

For Waldenström Macroglobulinemia "I have been using Brukinsa for over two years and I am now having difficulties with weight gain and lymphedema in my legs and feet to the point that I am having difficulties walking and getting in and out of a seat, especially in cars. I am looking for help with little success."

For Waldenström Macroglobulinemia "My doctor changed from Imbruvica to Brukinsa approximately 8 months ago. My IgM did improve slightly, but a terrible skin rash appeared all over my body accompanied with uncontrollable itching. I blame Brukinsa for that. I now need advice about what to take for my Waldenstrom's condition with fewer side effects."

For Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "Large red bruise-like patch covering left arm almost completely with small blood bubbles under the skin. Medication 2 months. Lymphs are shrinking rapidly. Based on CT and the shrinking of lymph, I rate it a 10, but I wish the bruises would diminish. No other reactions. Platelets seem WNL. All other labs except WBC 450 and lymphocytes okay, and I don’t have factors."

For Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "I've experienced 24 different side effects since starting my treatment last year. Other than an extremely high white blood count, few, if any, of these side effects existed, and I really did not feel bad before the treatment."

For Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "I started on Brukinsa on the 5th. I marked improvement in my headaches. I was on Imbruvica since March of 21, starting at 420mg and then reduced to 280mg in hopes of reducing headaches. There was no improvement, so I was taken off it totally on November 15th. I still have issues with bad headaches, but the intensity isn't as bad."

For Waldenström Macroglobulinemia "Been on Brukinsa for slightly over a month and have had no side effects. Energy level is high. No napping and going to bed at 10 PM. Have noticed an old running injury, bursitis, starting to act up again, but do not know if it is due to the drug or increased activity."

For Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "It brought my white blood cell count down from 180k to a normal level of 7k. It also normalized my red blood count and hemoglobin from dangerously low levels. After my diagnosis of CLL, I was on a watch and wait protocol. About a year into it, my energy level dropped and weight loss was at serious levels. My oncology doctor put me on Brukinsa and after 3 months my blood count was normalized. I gained most of the weight back and returned to most of my daily activities within 6 months. My dosage level was a convenient 2 times daily, 2-80mg capsules (320 mg total daily). AON Pharmacy has been the best, over-the-top group of people to work with ever. I love them! I am now nearly a year into the Brukinsa treatment. I am having difficulty with muscle tone and normal strength levels, dizziness, close experiences with fainting, and leg muscle fade to weakness. I attribute these as side effects and am now worried about heart issues."

For Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "This medication is extremely hard on my GI tract, causing pain 15 minutes after I take the medication. I can feel it as it moves through my GI tract due to where the pain is in my abdomen. I am also experiencing extreme fatigue and joint pain. It has decreased the size of my lymph nodes and my LDH and blood counts are improving. But, there is a cost-both physically and financially."

For Waldenström Macroglobulinemia "After 6 B&R chemo sessions, chemo wasabi stopped due to a mutant cell that was blocking its effectiveness. After nearly 2 months, I was put on Brukinsa and have had little or no side effects. Slight runny nose, occasional minor back pain. I feel like myself again. Looking forward to my first lab since starting. I hope it’s working!"

For Waldenström Macroglobulinemia "My dose is currently 160 mg once per day. I have few side effects. Some muscle and joint issues, which are resolved pretty well by stretching, exercise, and relaxation techniques. It has given me my life back. I was using a walker when first diagnosed with lymphoma. Now I can walk, hike, and bike for an hour. Fatigue is definitely an issue, so I need to rest in between activities. While I can't just take off for a day like I used to, I am still living a good life. It is crazy expensive, but between Medicare, my supplemental insurance, and help from the manufacturer, I haven't had any copay. I'm so grateful."

For Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "A few months after starting Brukinsa, I began to break out in rashes and sores on my arms and scalp. My skin started itching, especially on my head. Hydrocortisone cream and medicated shampoo and medicated skin cream took care of all that. I also take a buttload of supplements - Vitamin C, Vitamin E, multivitamins, selenium, Vitamin D3, etc. - along with four doses of iron every day to keep my red blood cell levels up. It will be two years in November since I started on it, and so far it works like a charm. Unfortunately, it also increases my joint pain. But I exercise regularly and eat right most of the time. Lots of walking, playing drums and going to the gym, so that, as well as a dose of Tramadol 2-3 times a week, keeps my pain at bay. I don't take any other prescription drugs. I'm 63 years old and still have some living to do, so thank God for Brukinsa!"

For Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "I've been taking Brukinsa for a year. I take two pills twice a day. The pills are easy to swallow. The only side effect I've experienced is bruising. Occasionally, I have a slight headache, but not bad enough that I need to take anything. My blood counts were in range within 2 months of starting Brukinsa."

For Follicular Lymphoma "I am being treated for a recurrence of Non-Hodgkin's B-cell lymphoma (not one of the conditions above) after having chemo and immunotherapy some 7 years ago. After some 5 months of taking Brukinsa, my red blood cell count has improved significantly and continues to improve. My only discernible side effects are a reasonable increase in bleeding when shaving, although my blood seems to clot reasonably well, but my facial skin (and on my head) seems to have 'breakouts' which take much longer to heal, particularly when shaving. Dosage is 2 tablets of 80 mg each, twice daily. Obviously easy to use."

"On Brukinsa since December 26, 2024, and a big improvement in my blood count. I can do some physical work now that I couldn’t do last fall. No nausea and no night sweats. All good so far after 6 months on Brukinsa."

For Waldenström Macroglobulinemia "Most things are good, except I have neuropathy. This in itself seemed OK following my first treatment 'CHOP.' However, since going onto Brukinsa in May 2023, I find that my neuropathy seems worse even though my IGM is very good. I also have an old injury in my left foot. No one seems to know exactly what the cause is, so I limp. This puts pressure on my right side, from my foot up to my hip, and I get pain in my hip, so I cannot walk above 50 yards without having to rest."

For Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "I was diagnosed with CLL a little over 3.5 years ago at age 70. We were on a 'wait and see' routine up until about 6 weeks ago. My oncologist said I should go on treatment and he recommended Brukinsa. Being a little 'freaked' out about having to go on treatment, I contacted MD Anderson. My wife and I flew to Houston and had an array of blood tests done. 19 vials. The Dr. was very kind and patient and explained CLL and the clinical trials they are now conducting. I asked him what he would do in my situation, he said to stay the course on Brukinsa as it is one of the newest of the BTK inhibitors. So, for right now, I'm sticking to Brukinsa. As far as side effects, I haven't noticed any."
