For Dietary Supplementation "This supplement made me very lightheaded and my legs weak. I took 1 tab of 100 mg in the morning, and by afternoon these side effects happened. Could not find anything online where anyone else had this happen. Will not take it again."

For Dietary Supplementation "CoQ10 was recommended by a holistic health doctor who told me to take 200 mg. I am 69 years old and have always been sensitive to meds and some supplements, so I started with 50 mg of Blue Bonnet Ubiquinol. It seemed to give me some energy the first two days and lowered my blood pressure the first day (a good benefit), so I upped the dose to 100 mg. I then started getting a restless feeling and some anxiety. This is the second day on 100 mg, and it put me on the couch all day. My heart rate was high after I took it, got bad anxiety, and felt weak and fatigued. According to the Mayo Clinic website, these can all be side effects, so I will discontinue this. However, be forewarned that I read the half-life on this is 33 hours, meaning that in 33 hours, half the supplement is still in your body, and it can take up to 5 days to clear out."

For Dietary Supplementation "My doctor wanted me to take CoQ10, so I got some and tried it. I've been taking it for about 2 weeks now. And I've felt awful! I thought I was coming down with something. I got weaker and weaker and felt like I couldn't go on. I'd lay down, and in about 10-20 minutes, I'd feel more 'alive.' Finally took my blood pressure laying down, ah ha! 110/46 with a pulse of 88. I've had issues with orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure when standing) on and off for years. So I realized that's why I feel like I'm death warmed over when I'm up! I've been drinking Liquid IV drink mix and eating salty potato chips daily because I felt so bad... What would my blood pressure have been without all the extra sodium? Beware if you have low blood pressure or orthostatic hypotension. Best wishes!"

For Dietary Supplementation "I started taking CoQ10 without any research. After a few days of taking 100 mg, I was ill; diarrhea, cramps, vomiting for over 25 hours straight. Then dizziness and weakness. Now it is the 3rd day. The doctor and I thought food poisoning because of me eating at a buffet. But it just dawned on me to read up on this supplement. I have kidney disease and take thyroid medication. Now, I just want to know how long before I feel better and how long it takes for the CoQ10 to get out of my system?"
