Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) for Dietary Supplementation "Most underestimated supplementation. Cheap as powder. If it is too acidic for gut and stomach, add sodium bicarbonate (soda) to neutralize it. Dilute it in juice, and it will be easy to take in. Use at least half of a teaspoon. It is good against stress and brain fog. It clears the thoughts after a strenuous day. It is also used after trauma."

For Dietary Supplementation "I have been taking this vitamin for maybe 50 years plus after reading Linus Pauling’s books on the subject. Probably for the past 20 years, I have yet to have a cold, sniffles, any significant illness, or disease. I attribute it to pretty much the use of vitamin C. I take 1000 mg per day, usually. When I feel a cold coming on, I start taking 1000 mg every hour on the hour until the symptoms are totally gone. I alternate this with a zinc lozenge. Am as good as new in less than a day. I think it’s a cure for the common cold."

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) for Dietary Supplementation "I am currently 79 and have been taking 3000 mg of Vitamin C since I was 62. I have had no problems whatsoever with any side effects. However, I have also had no colds either. I am in excellent health. I go to the YMCA, run, swim... Vitamin C destroys free radicals, which is, as I understand, the primary cause of growing old. They break down the body. Today I am 79, but I feel like I am 49. If you can tolerate this much Vitamin C, then take it. I have done so every day for 17 years, and I love the results."
