"Started Mounjaro in November 2024 and did not have any side effects, only when I was increased to 5 mg, and the nausea was bad, and I was sick a few times when I ate anything with a high/medium fat content. But I managed to get anti-sickness tablets from my GP, and I have lost 3.5 stone since starting this. I was 17 stone, and I can now go up 3 flights of stairs and not stop for breath, as before, I had to stop on the first flight. I have started to drink more water, as before I hated it. I was a fizzy drink person. I have also added more supplements to my daily intake, as before I never took supplements. The only issue I have now is sulfur burps and still nausea with the occasional trapped wind."

"So far, so good, minimal side effects but definitely a lower appetite. Soreness at the injection site for a day or two each time, but other than that, nothing more to report as side effects."

"It's too early to say that Mounjaro has been life-changing, but it is certainly trending that way. My first week was a huge drop in water weight; I lost about 11 pounds. Weeks 2-4 it slowed a bit, and I'm down about another 5 lbs. I'll be starting the 5 mg tomorrow. 16 lbs in my first month is pretty darn good, I'd say. Very little side effects thus far: severe nausea, but it's fleeting; it sticks around for 30-60 seconds then disappears, occurring every two or three days. In terms of how I feel, the changes have been subtle but definitely noticeable. My appetite is absolutely gone for the first 48 hours after injection, then comes back gradually. By the 5th or 6th day, I'm thinking about food again on a regular basis. I do feel that I have more energy, and my willingness to do even small household tasks seems to be higher than it has in a couple of years. Everything just seems like less of a burden. I started at 441 lbs, and am hopeful I can get back to around 300 eventually."

"When I first started taking Mounjaro, I would get very nauseated, even throw up sometimes. Then my body got used to it, and I actually lost around 25 lbs. I asked my Dr if we could up the dosage because I stopped losing weight. I went up to Mounjaro 5.0. After my first shot, I was fine, just nauseated. After my second shot of 5.0, I broke out in hives all over my body. I continued taking my shot, and on the third week, the hives got worse. I was miserable, itching with large red spots all over. The Dr then lowered my dose back to 1.5, and finally, the hives went away, but I am not losing any more weight."

"I am on week 2, cravings have gone, I’m not binge eating anymore. I am on 2.5 mg. However, I have spotting and brown discharge, which are the only side effects I have noticed thus far. Very quick and easy because it’s once a week."

"I have been on Mounjaro for 10 months. At first, I was thrilled with the product as it curbed my appetite and the food noise in my brain. Unfortunately, my body adjusted to the drug, and I needed a higher dose. Since that time, it has stopped working, and I have developed a rash all over my body. I followed my doctor's suggestion that I take an allergy pill an hour before, but I still get this very itchy rash. I have stopped taking Mounjaro because of the allergy."

"Works well. The appetite suppression and quieting of “food noise” has been very effective. Unfortunately, I just saw my recent labs and discovered that my triglycerides are well over 500! This is very alarming since I do not consume large amounts of butter, fat, etc. Now I’m worried that I may have/get pancreatitis."

"Started last January at 268 pounds, 5 ft 7 in, morbidly obese, could barely walk because of breathlessness and back pain. One year later, I'm down to 159 pounds and have never been healthier. The only side effect I've had from this medication is really bad constipation, which requires a laxative a couple of times per week. This med works so well when you are in a deficit and working out, it makes you full really quickly too. Nothing ever worked for me in the past, but my whole lifestyle has changed for the better since being on this med."

"Before I started Mounjaro in December 2024, I was miserable and very unhappy at 210 pounds. All my blood tests were negative, and my diabetes was on the border. After I kept going to the injections at the beginning, I ate and didn’t lose much, but after I moved to 7.5, I lost 60 pounds without any problems. I just don’t want to eat large portions. The happiest I have ever been. This was the best thing for me after trying everything for many years and failing. As a result of my blood tests, I have diabetes and my A1C is normal. Right now, I will stay on this for another year."

"In the beginning, I weighed 340 lb and was a heavy drinker with lots of beer. When I started Mounjaro, I was a little bit skeptical and nervous about the side effects and results. My work is primarily sitting in a chair behind a computer and interacting through Teams with coworkers. I noticed a huge change after 1 year, now that I lost almost 110 lb and am feeling extremely motivated to do every energy activity around the house, going out more frequently outdoors or just to the city! It's been a life change for me, and I would strongly recommend this product to anyone, with, of course, the guidance of a doctor!"

"Mounjaro is good for weight loss as it makes you less hungry and increases your energy levels, but the downside is the side effects, which range from nausea, vomiting, and constipation. It is not a miracle drug, and it is started at a low level and gradually increases, but it's a great kickstart if it's combined with a healthy lifestyle."

"Unsure if the dose is too large. Severe decrease in appetite. Concurrent weight loss - 23 lbs so far. Weak. Tired all the time. Blood sugar in really good control, except for needing antibiotics to fight a severe cold and then flu. That has caused blood sugars in the 250 to 315 range. Strange lack of energy. Am on a 15 mg dose currently. Too much?"

"I started Mounjaro December 29, 2024. My starting weight was 249.6. I'm now 243 as of January 12th, 2025. Down 6.6 lbs. I have been in the gym for one year. I'm 51 years old, 5'3". I am prediabetic. My BMI was over 30, and I have high blood pressure, but nothing serious. I was put on a water pill of 12 mg instead. That being said, I am feeling really good about the medication thus far. I read and listened to a lot of reviews via YouTube and articles. The next morning after my first shot, I immediately bought a stool softener. I eat my protein, veggies, fiber, and do all the necessary things to lose and maintain my results. My goal is to lose 50 lbs. That will bring me to an even 200. I'm told numerically, 50 lbs sounds good based on the scale, but to physically look at me, I would look sick, so we'll see. I'm feeling victorious just knowing that I'm doing something to aid in bringing down my blood pressure and not crossing the line of 'diabetic.' My minor side effects were feeling cold."

"When I first started, the medication worked for a few days, then it wore off and I was cracker-hunting. I received a higher dose of 10 mg, which worked for a little longer. I have lost 30 pounds but need to lose fifteen or twenty more. The main problem is keeping the weight off. I have to learn to ignore stomach growling. My doctor will renew the prescription with a higher dose of 12.5 mg, I hope this will do the trick. Side effects: on the lower dose, I had heartburn at night, but not so much on the higher dose. I don't get headaches. At one time, while getting ready to inject, I ended up injecting the tip of my right pointer finger. The whole dose went in."

"I started taking Mounjaro 2.5 mg on September 6th, weighing in at 128 kilos. I'm now on my 7th shot of 10 mg (as I stayed on 10 mg for another month over Christmas) and I weigh 106 kilos in January. This is without changing my lifestyle of exercise or food. I eat smaller portions and don't think about food half as much as I used to. It's been great up until my 6th shot of 10 mg. I would experience mild side effects of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, sulfur burps. These tended to be spread across the board as well though, never all at the same time, and it was manageable. However, my 6th dose I felt instantly! I was nauseous for 3 days straight, vomiting, diarrhea, sulfur burps, tired, the list is endless. I was so worn out by the nausea, I couldn't sleep, eat, or drink. I took myself to the walk-in center at the hospital where they referred me straight to A&E for having a resting heart rate of 128 bpm. I was put on an IV drip, bloods taken. I felt awful and still do! Going to go back to 7.5 mg."

"My doctor took me off this medication because he said I had lost enough weight. I lost 43 lbs and needed to lose 20 more lbs. Should I ask him to put me back on this medication? I have gained 20 lbs since I stopped this drug. Also, I have some injections left (15 mg), would it be safe to take these extra vials?"

"My wife had been on Mounjaro for several months and had seen dramatic weight loss. Our bro-in-law had a prescription but had a reaction, so he gave his supply to me. (My insurance doesn't cover it.) After 5 months, I had lost 50+ lbs. In 15 months, my wife lost over 170 pounds. Both of us combined our course with a keto diet: low carbs, high fat, and protein. The wife's sisters had also seen similar results while also using the keto diet. I am not diabetic, but my wife is. She has cut her use of insulin to the bare minimum and will still occasionally have low blood sugar. While I have run out of my supply, I used 5, 7.5, and 10. My wife has had a more managed regimen, gradually increasing to her current 12.5. Our only real side effect has been constipation. We are trying to handle that with an increase in eating more fiber and fiber supplements, along with using laxatives. To deal with our decreased food intake, we are both also taking vitamin supplements."

"Although I have had a lot of nausea and vomiting, I have gone from 216 lbs to 168 lbs. I was given Zofran, which helped a lot! I have an appointment with my doctor this coming Tuesday because I have developed a lump on my throat. This has me very concerned. The shot was very easy to use."

"Started 5 mg 2 weeks ago and am doing great. Appetite significantly decreased. Have so far lost 11 lbs. and have 35 lbs more to lose. Constipation is my only concern. Working on that, but since I am not eating as much, I don’t think I will go as often. Grateful for this drug. It provides an easy way to lose weight. Thanks."

"Fortunately, I did not experience any side effects until I got to 10 mg. I began having a reaction at the injection site and suffered a little blurred vision occasionally. I am now on my first week of 12.5 mg and find that 3 days after taking the injection, I am having pains (like muscle strain or a trapped nerve) in various and multiple places. This has been the case for 4 days now, so I am a bit dubious about taking my second injection tomorrow. However, I have lost 3 stone over 17 weeks, so for me, positive outweighs the negative as I was morbidly obese. Any thoughts on these pains I am having, please?"
