For Underactive Thyroid "Was on Synthroid for a year and noticed zero improvement. Got off it for a few years then started again and developed angina-like chest pain out of nowhere when exercising. I felt tired and miserable as always. Begged my doc to Rx Nature-Throid. After being on it 3 months, I realized how much better I feel. No more waking up feeling like crap, no more muscle aches, no more fatigue. Headaches have improved drastically. More energy to work out. No puffy, creased eyes when I wake up in the morning. Appetite is good again and I can eat what I want while maintaining my weight just fine. I am 5'8" and 135 lbs and only exercise twice a week but am able to eat 2000 calories a day, sometimes more, and have gained no weight. Just like old times!"

For Hypothyroidism, After Thyroid Removal "I am struggling with the new formulation of Armour Thyroid. It was always the best medication for me. Now experiencing sleeplessness, foggy brain, and vision changes. If Allergan does not figure this out, I will have to go to a different med. Synthroid was terrible for me. Cannot take it and function."

For Underactive Thyroid "Something changed with the formula again between late 2021 and early 2022. My body doesn't lie! And it's getting more expensive. Armour is now causing me to have daily anxiety/panic attacks, headaches, more hair loss, and severe nightly insomnia, even at a lower dose. It's gotten so bad I've had to quit my job. I may have to discontinue thyroid medicine altogether and just take supplements, as nothing currently on the market works, is without horrific side effects, or is affordable. Someone please bring back Nature-throid and WP the way they used to be! Seriously, I am at a loss here. I (and many others) are suffering horribly without them. Two years and counting..."

For Hashimoto's disease "After college, I was diagnosed with Graves' disease, and they did the radioactive iodine treatment on me, which completely killed my thyroid. I used to be super skinny and could eat all the time. Now I'm not one of those people who ever got big, my max weight after treatment was 147 lbs, which for 5'4 still wasn't 'big'. However, I was spending 2 hours working out 5 days a week and basically living on protein shakes, so I should have definitely been a lot thinner. Before the treatment, I was 123 lbs and bloomed up to 147 lbs in a matter of 4 years. I was on Synthroid for 6 years and never felt normal. I tried Naturroid for 6 months, still nothing. My new doctor put me on Armour, and I couldn't be happier. I have my energy back and am down to 130 lbs."

For Underactive Thyroid "Found a 4.2 cm & 1cm nodule on my thyroid. I had a biopsy, it was non-cancerous. The doctor wanted to take it out immediately. I got a 2nd opinion, the 2nd doctor wanted to take it out but gave me an option to take medicine to make me hyper to shrink them. My thyroid levels were normal, but my T3 was sorta low. I requested Armour Thyroid from the doctor. For the first 2 weeks, I had a bad headache. Keep going if you get a headache, don’t stop, it will pass in 2 to 3 weeks. I was able to quit all of my antidepressants & feel normal again for the first time in years. I got another ultrasound, to my surprise, the Dr. said my 4.2 nodule shrunk to 2 cm! I’ve also been doing keto diet, no gluten and sugar. I also eat 2-3 Brazil nuts every day and take 10,000 IU of vitamin D daily. I also wasn’t hungry for sweets anymore, give it 4 to 6 weeks to really start feeling it. It also fixed my constipation. I can’t recommend this medicine enough!"

For Hashimoto's disease "After being on Synthroid for years, I went to a wellness clinic and was put on Nature-Throid. I cannot believe the difference it made in my life. I finally have my life back! The head fog is gone, my energy level is back and the depression has subsided also. The only thing Synthroid did for me is change the numbers on my thyroid blood test, nothing else. I would NEVER take Synthroid again."

For Hypothyroidism, After Thyroid Removal "After hyperthyroidism most of my life: Graves Disease, this is the ONLY thyroid medication that works for me. Insurance companies and pharmaceutical giants prefer levothyroxine or other more expensive drugs that have more side effects and for me at least are not as effective. I was on a thyroid-destroying drug for YEARS, and a specialist told me that if it hadn't worked by now to destroy my thyroid gland, it probably never would, it was just putting this strong med into my body affecting other bodily functions. So, I took 'their' advice and destroyed my thyroid with radioactive iodine. Now I need to be on thyroid for the rest of my life. My doctor and I tried traditional drugs pushed by the medical establishment. I finally did some research and asked others without a functioning thyroid and was directed to Armour Thyroid. It has been working for over 5 years without adjusting dosage, unlike the 'traditional' thyroid meds where I had to constantly change dosage."

For Underactive Thyroid "I have been taking NP Thyroid for about one year now since NatureThroid became unavailable in 0.5 grain. It's been okay but the last two months I have begun feeling horrible. I have no energy, feel very tired, digestive problems, bloated painful stomach, headaches, brain fog, leg cramps, anxiety/panic attacks, depressed, complete loss of libido, fat gain around the middle, and more. In early September, I noticed my NP Thyroid refill smelled horrible. I contacted my pharmacist and he told me batches vary - it's normal. So I continued to take it, feeling worse over time. I stopped taking it for 3 days as a trial this week and felt somewhat better. I since found a few websites and blogs that discuss the issues. I am not alone. Will contact Naturopath tomorrow to see what my options are. I too, like others, feel poisoned. It seems like my reaction is more than just hypothyroid symptoms. I did not feel this badly before starting thyroid hormones."

For Hashimoto's disease "I was on Synthroid or levothyroxine for over 20 years. Never ever worked. I lost my business because I was so exhausted and brain fogged. I finally switched to Nature-Throid. What a wonderful difference. Back in business and feeling great."

For Underactive Thyroid "This medication changed my life. I was diagnosed with subclinical hypothyroidism years ago, and for five years I was on levothyroxine. Despite taking it every day as recommended, I experienced no difference in my extreme fatigue, muscle aches, and constipation. I was sleeping all the time. Exercise was a nightmare. No longer the energetic person I used to be. I basically wrote that off as my baseline. Then I started reading about different hypothyroidism treatments and begged my doctor to put me on Nature-Throid. I now feel exactly how I am meant to - boundless energy when I get up in the morning and all throughout the day, and as a result, my mood has dramatically improved."

For Hashimoto's disease "Ditto all the positives written by other reviewers. I don't understand why it was nearly impossible to get the clinic to prescribe... I was so miserable on Synthroid, which I struggled with for 8 months, with worries of health issues growing. I quit. And for the next six years at every doctor appointment, I flat out refused Synthroid. I think one of the 20 plus fillers was the issue. Doing my own research, I began requesting Nature-Throid. I was told the clinic only prescribed Synthroid. 16 months ago, I won! And have been happy since on NT. UNBELIEVABLE then when I moved and my new doc in a different state suggested I change. No way. I'm very happy with Nature-Throid and think the medical profession is 75 years behind the times."

For Underactive Thyroid "Just picked up my NP Thyroid and it smells horrible! Like cat urine. I will not be taking this. Already contacted my doctor's office to switch to Tirosint and Cytomel. Shame on you, NP Thyroid. I'm planning on taking this pill to get analyzed to see what is in it."

For Hashimoto's disease "My experience with Nature-Throid has been very positive from the very first dose. Increased energy was immediately noticed. After 6 months of continuous use, I began to lose weight. The shoulder and neck pain associated with my thyroid disorder decreased tremendously. Nature-Throid alone is not enough. I must take vitamin and mineral supplements to further lessen my symptoms as well as avoid certain foods and drinks."

For Hashimoto's disease "I have been taking Nature-Throid for more than a year now and find it simply outstanding. I have had no allergic reaction, that I am aware of, as I had with Armour brand and synthetic thyroid (a rash). My blood test results have been quite stable. I have been able to stay on the same dose, 32.5mg, and now enjoy the peace of mind of simply taking the pill (which I crush with my teeth and allow to dissolve sublingually) and get on with my life. I should note that over the past several years I have made significant changes such as eliminating dairy, egg, and gluten from my diet, which I feel has greatly complemented any pharmaceutical benefit. An outstanding medication, Nature-Throid has helped me restore vitality to my life."

For Underactive Thyroid "I had several side effects from Synthroid that I thought I just had to try and live with in order to treat my hypothyroidism. After starting Nature-Throid, the side effects were gone and I noticed an improvement with all of my symptoms. Today, I feel the best I have felt in 20 years. The difference is truly amazing to me. I didn't think I had any other options until Nature-Throid was suggested, I am so thankful for this medicine."

For Hashimoto's disease "For years I felt terrible most days. Tired, sleeping by 7 pm. No energy, gained weight, was puffy/bloated all the time. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Disease 9 months ago. My doctor prescribed levothyroxine. I still didn't feel like myself. Still no energy, breaking out in sweats (especially at night), always felt bloated. No relief from my symptoms. The worst symptom of all was forgetfulness and brain fog. After reading a page (Hypothyroid Mom) on Facebook, I saw how many people had success with Armour Thyroid. She put me on 30 mg twice daily. Now I am hyperthyroid. Hoping to get this under control soon. I feel 100 times better on Armour. And I've lost a little bit of weight!"

For Underactive Thyroid "Many years ago I was told by my doctor that I had hypothyroidism. First, I took Synthroid, which made me very sick, so for years I never took anything, ate healthy organic foods, and felt wonderful. I went recently to a specialist (Endocrinologist), and he also said my blood levels showed an underactive thyroid. The strange thing is that I don't have any of the symptoms of this disease. But I tried Armour Thyroid for about a month and had chest pains, stomach cramps, and I was so tired all the time. I spent most days in bed. Now I went off Armour Thyroid, and I feel back to normal. I don't care what a test shows... it's how I feel that matters."

For Underactive Thyroid "When my hypothyroidism went low enough to treat 15 years ago, I was given Levoxyl, adjusted up to 150 mcg. Fibromyalgia of 23 years worsened. In the last 4 years, I developed severe fatigue crashes, heat and exercise intolerance, anxiety, depression, water retention, leg and back muscle weakness/wasting/pain. Tests normal. I exhausted the best rheumatologist and neurologist in town, two normal muscle biopsies. Thyroid levels are at the top of normal. Doctors kept me there, prescribing prednisone and five other medicines for fatigue and pain. Sudden breathing problems occurred. Hyperthyroidism exhausted my adrenals. A new doctor put me on Armour, lower at 75 mg two weeks ago. I feel fantastic - more strength, less pain/weakness!"

For Hypothyroidism, After Thyroid Removal "WHAT IS HAPPENING? I've been on Armour since 2018 (before that NP) and I've never in the 15 years that I've been on NDTs experienced this type of thyroid hell. Gained 20 lbs despite being in a calorie deficit, dry skin, insomnia, anxiety through the roof, achy joints, painful heavy periods, and a 24-day cycle. TSH is anywhere between 1-3 (it's usually suppressed down to zero). FT4 is between 0.7-0.9 (usually 1.4) and FT3 is between 2.1-2.9 (usually 3.5). Again, I repeat WHAT IS HAPPENING? I'm praying I can get ahold of NP again or I'm gonna have to go back to synthetic, and I haven't been on those since 2007. I don't even know what dose I'd be on."

For Underactive Thyroid "Four years ago, I began taking birth control. After a year of trying to find the 'right' pill, I was experiencing extreme fatigue, mood swings, depression, constipation, skin/hair problems, weight gain, and an inability to lose weight. I stopped the pill and still continued to experience these symptoms. I spent the next few years trying to lose weight and trying to convince my doctor to treat my thyroid. She wouldn't because my TSH level was normal. Two months ago, I found a doctor who prescribes Armour based on symptoms. In one month of taking 25mg of Armour daily, I have regained my health and my life. Fight for your health and ask for Armour. If it doesn't work for you, it's worth searching for a medication that does to feel healthy again."

For Hypothyroidism, After Thyroid Removal "I have been taking Armour Thyroid since 2015. My TSH has been creeping back up in the last few months, and I feel like something changed in the Armour. I am exhausted, feel comatose, like I'm never fully awake, and dragging my body around. Wondering if there has been a reformulation or a product quality issue. I have an endo appointment, and I know the doc's solution will be to go on Synthroid. Anyone else having similar recent (2019) issues with Armour?"

For Underactive Thyroid "I have used this without a problem until I refilled my prescription in October. I have become increasingly sick since taking this bottle. It started with a flu/cold that wouldn't go away, then horrible stomach pains, and then the fatigue set in, where I literally could not get out of bed. In addition, I had abnormally high blood pressure. I went to a few doctors who had no answers until one day I noticed when taking my NP that it tasted different. I might have noticed it before but disregarded it. I did some research online and found that the specific batch I am taking which is M330E19-1 is on the STTM website list of problematic batches. I discontinued it today and will switch to Armour. It's becoming harder to get reliable desiccated thyroid."

For Hashimoto's disease "I found out I had an underactive thyroid about 2 years ago, and as a college student, I found it so hard to focus in class. My doctor placed me on Synthroid, and I took it for about 6 months. I had severe headaches, depression, weight gain with no weight loss in sight, and feeling tired and horrible. I went to my ob-gyn for a yearly check-up, and he checked my thyroid, and now I'm taking Armour. I love this medicine. All the headaches, loss of focus, and the weight gained again are gone! I take it at the same time every day, and this pill works for me!"

For Underactive Thyroid "Used this product for a couple of years and would have rated it a 9 until disaster struck with the August 2019 refill. It now has the worst smell and taste you can imagine. Smells like cat urine, must have a lot of ammonia which is dangerous to eat. Other people who have been very happy with this thyroid pill in the past are complaining their symptoms are coming back and some are getting quite ill and having burning throat and stomach. Something is very wrong and the company has been notified but doesn't care."

For Hashimoto's disease "I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism at age 14, although I had a high TSH (in the normal range) since I was born. I was treated with Synthroid and levothyroxine for the past 7 years, and I never really thought about how it was affecting me. Within these 7 years, I gained and lost and gained again 75 lbs, which was due to the depression that Synthroid was causing. I recently began feeling so bad and decided to stop Synthroid and asked my doctor for Armour... one month later and I am as happy and optimistic as I used to be before Synthroid. I have also lost 12 lbs within a month (with proper diet and nutrition, of course). I have had no side effects on this medication, and I am 100% happy I decided to switch."
