For Onychomycosis, Toenail "Ended up in the ER after only 5 days of taking it. Nystagmus, nausea, dizziness, light sensitivity, pain, low blood pressure, dehydration, rapid heartbeat, and low sodium. Still not better 5 days after."

"I recently started using this medication prescribed to me by my doctor, and the first week of taking it was not so bad, but I did have a headache, nausea, and leg aches. After the first week, I felt great, and I'm already seeing results. I'm so happy with this medication. I love it!"

For Onychomycosis, Toenail "I commonly use this medication any time I can feel an infection starting to go into a nail. I’ll get lax and not wash my feet or change my socks every day, and eventually, it shows back up. Athlete's foot first, and some kind of fungal infection around my scalp, and last the nails. So, I don’t love to take it. Most of the time I’ll feel ill, nauseated, and tired for the first day or two. But I’ve taken it so many times, I know it does the trick. So, I push through it. Systemic antifungals are very particular, I believe, and it took me a while to finally get something that works for my types of infections every time. The first time I took it, I had to take it for about a month, one 250mg pill a day, but now that I have an answer, I don’t put off thinking about it long, and usually take it between 2 and 5 days. It’s really great for nail infections. That’s really the important one."

For Onychomycosis, Fingernail "I'd used terbinafine [Lamisil] for a toenail fungus about three years ago. The only side effect I experienced was a slight case of nausea. So, when I noticed that my thumbnail had developed a fungus, it was a no-brainer. A blood test was done prior to taking this medication to make sure my liver was in good shape before starting the 12-week course of therapy. Four weeks into treatment, I had an MRI for an unrelated condition. In the MRI report, the radiologist noted that there seemed to be a liver issue and questioned the 'possibility of hepatomegaly.' In plain old English, that means an enlarged liver. I spoke with my doctor about it and was told that it was a possible side effect and would most likely resolve itself once the course of treatment was completed. A follow-up blood test will be performed for liver function and/or any other anomalies. While rare, please be aware terbinafine [Lamisil] can cause liver damage before beginning treatment."

For Tinea Corporis "I had ringworm on my legs before summer. I got the topical cream and used that as well as athlete's foot spray (helped so much with the itching). But it came back this week on my legs again. I'm on day 2 of terbinafine now. I'm also battling a cold. So I lose my sense of taste, it's nothing new. But I took it today and was super nauseous and couldn't sit near a window with the sun coming in without feeling sick. Keep hydrated for sure, and it helps me if I eat really well before taking it. Only a 3 rating because nothing has happened yet."
