"Burns???? This is the crown jewel of Neosporin-type topicals. I was first given it by a podiatrist when I had an ingrown nail. That same summer, I got bit by a brown recluse on the foot, and it turned into an ulcer the size of a half dollar. What the doctor gave me did nothing at all. I used some Silvadene, and honest to God, the ulcer was gone within 3 days. A couple of nights ago, I stepped into glass accidentally and pulled a 5-inch sliver out of my foot. If I knew how deep it was, I'd have gone to the hospital to have it done. I've been using Silvadene, lots of it, as I'm a type 1 diabetic, and you know what happens to diabetics who get things like this infected. The pain was unbearable yesterday, it's almost gone now."

"Amazing cream. I scalded my hand quite badly, and my doctor prescribed this cream. Almost overnight, I went from having an incredibly painful burn with chunks of flesh coming off to a nearly healed hand and no pain. I agree that this product should be offered over the counter!"

"Hot liquid (tomatoes, oil, spices) splashed right onto my cheek as I turned the blender on. Instant second-degree superficial burns (blisters) on at least 10 different spots. Was prescribed 1% silver sulfadiazine at urgent care. Immediately calmed my skin in a matter of minutes. Every time I applied it, there was a cooling effect. Healed every single blister in 5 days. The blister fluid was resorbed into my body and the top layer turned light brown and eventually sloughed off as I washed my face every morning with Cetaphil soap. 0 scarring, except for one spot that is still pink (5th day today). This was where the skin peeled off as I tried to wash my face. The results are dramatic. Wish this were OTC."

"Okay, because I don't have to give my real name, I can be truthful. I was getting into my farm truck on a very hot day, 97 with a heat index of 111. Wearing shorts, as I always do, I slid right in. In a matter of seconds, I knew I was in trouble. You see, the black gorilla tape I have on my seat to cover the rips had come loose and proceeded to stick to me, making it very difficult to slide out. Needless to say, I experienced my very first burn in 'that' area, worse than any heat rash I've ever had. Of course, I didn't go to the doctor but had this stuff left over from another burn, and when it started to blister and I realized I could hardly walk, I applied this and it worked great. No embarrassing explanation to the doctor, just fast pain relief."

"As I was curling my hair at 400°, the curling rod rested directly on my lower wrist/inner forearm area. My skin immediately seared. I used aloe vera and waited until the next day to go to urgent care. Upon arrival, I was told I had a third-degree burn and prescribed silver sulfadiazine 1%. Within ONE DAY, the large, charred and blackened scab had completely sloughed off into my dressing, and by day 3, most of it is already closed up pink skin. Only issue was last night it started to get itchy where the skin hasn’t healed yet. I tried to scratch lightly, but this morning there was a little blood and pus in the gauze. Changed dressing, reapplied cream. Today I’m fine, no itchiness, scabs, or blood. From what I see, only healing skin and RESULTS!!! This cream is a godsend, should be a staple in everyone’s medicine cabinet. Heals burns in days with minimal pain. 10/10 would recommend."

Silver sulfadiazine topical "My brother gave these creams out like they were party favors, lol. He sung its praises so that I had to grab one to put in my emergency kit. In the midst of cooking, like a fool, I accidentally put my thumb and forefinger on the burner. I don't do well with burns, it's my one vice that seems to engulf me for 12 hours of brutal pain, whereby I must keep my fingers in a mug of iced water, changing it every few minutes, even falling asleep in that condition. I iced my fingers for 20 minutes, remembered this cream, whacked it on, and the pain immediately disappeared! All I can say is wow. I didn't know it had numbing ingredients, but it stopped that burning pain in a jiffy. A must!"

"I had burned my finger in the oven grabbing a cast iron skillet while having a seizure. I had a 3rd degree burn on my finger, and last week I went to my doctor, who gave me this cream. As deep as this burn is and the fact it's on my finger, which takes a while to heal. It closed right up, and all the skin is growing over it in less than a week! I love it."

"Went on a vacation and was out in the sun for a couple of hours. Woke up the next morning with massive blisters on cheeks, forehead, ears, and nose. Went to an urgent care nearby. This is the second day I’ve used this, and wow. The blister on my ear is completely gone, my blisters on my cheeks and forehead look a lot better... cannot wait to see how I look in a couple of days! "I pushed too hard on the tea kettle lid, as a result, it slipped, and my hand was immersed in boiling water, and the back of my hand and a couple of fingers blistered, peeled immediately, and hurt like anything, throbbing, searing pain. Luckily, my wife had a doctor's appointment just then, so I went along. Dr. B took one look and called the treatment nurse. After flushing with saline, she pulled out a popsicle stick and took a big jar out of the refrigerator. 'You ready for this?' I nodded. She took a great glob of this white sour cream-like stuff and applied it directly to my wound. Heaven! The pain was gone! She smiled, 'This is the only good part about burns. Watching the relief people feel as soon as I apply this 'Flamazine.' She applied a light dressing, Dr. B gave me a script for it, and the patch of second-degree burn healed in a couple of weeks with very little scarring. 10/10. I currently have a thrush rash on the tip of my little head. Same result. Pain relief, and I expect good healing."

"I received a chemical burn from trying a home care for inner thigh bleaching. To make a long story short, my doctor took a look the next day and was shocked with the fleshy skin, and a gyno recommended for me to use this stuff. I wasn't able to walk for a week because of the burns, and my doctor believed it would have been longer if it wasn't for this cream. Great for burns, even in sensitive areas."

"Was treated for precancerous cells on my chest with Picato, a topical chemotherapy cream that is used for two days. I almost immediately developed a severe reaction where my skin blistered and then began to slide off, leaving huge oozing wounds. I cannot describe the pain, which, in turn, caused horrible headaches and nausea. Because of the location of the injury, I was unable to even wear a shirt. After 3 1/2 days of misery, I applied silvadeen and had relief right away. I could actually breathe again. Since I just did this, I am not sure of the outcome, but for now, I am very thankful."

"Burned myself grabbing the handle of a pan I just retrieved from the oven at 400 degrees - why did it occur to me to reduce the sauce there? :( My nurse practitioner girlfriend ran to her cabinet and brought this miracle in a tube. "Recently got hit by a car while bike riding. Most of the skin on my knees, wrists, palms, and right calf was instantly shaved off. Luckily, no broken bones, just severe road rash. The doctors gave me painkillers and ointment. By day five, none of the wounds were healing. The deepest graze got infected, and the pain was unbearable, even with shots of painkillers. I posted my injury, and someone mentioned S.S. I went immediately to urgent care and asked for it. That night, the pain eased. The very next day, I checked, and the infection started healing. "I have second-degree burns from a fire, covering about 10 inches on my leg. I was treating it with Neosporin and bacitracin, but it didn't seem to be healing. My leg looked like soggy raw bacon that had been festering in a sewer. Three days after using the silver sulfadiazine, the terrible burns healed over and started peeling, and fresh, healthy skin appeared. This stuff is a godsend."

Silver sulfadiazine topical "Having suffered a severe friction burn, I received Flamazine on prescription after 3 days. The wound was hand-sized and quite deep, weeping constantly and very sore. "I have cellulitis on my left leg. On an eight-hour car ride home, my legs were swollen. I'm not sure if I hit the shin of my left leg or if, due to the tightness from the swelling, I ended up with an ulcer the size of a fifty-cent piece. It had gotten infected, causing me to go to the doctor. He cleaned the ulcer and put Silvadene cream on the wound and then wrapped it. He told me to clean the area with Dial soap, apply the Silvadene cream, and wrap it. He wanted to see me back in two weeks. If the ulcer was not responding to treatment, he was going to send me to the wound clinic. I followed his instructions, and when the two weeks were up and I went back, he was amazed at the results. The ulcer had healed completely."

"I use this miracle cream for any kind of household burn. I'm kind of clumsy, and I often burn myself on the BBQ grill or oven. It heals burns, even bad ones, within a few minutes. Sometimes, I can't even tell that I was burned at all. A friend of mine accidentally spilled hot oil on his hand. The damage was pretty bad, and he was in a lot of pain. I gave him my tube of 'Silvadene' cream, and he used it for one day. When I saw him a day after that, you couldn't even tell he'd been burned. He couldn't believe how well it worked. "I've used this cream twice for 2 separate yet equally awful household accidents. One involved slamming my hand into a lit charcoal grill when the porch board I was standing on broke out from under my right leg, and most recently after I fell leaving a relative's home, gashing my knee and flaying off a layer of skin. Both times, I was rx'ed Silvadene. Scars from the 2nd and 3rd degree burns on my right arm aren't even visible. Doctors were planning skin grafts, but my healing was so impressive that they weren't necessary. Last night, a week from my latest accident, I removed the bandage from my knee from my nightly application, and the scab that had grown over the injury was completely gone, with new, pink, beautiful skin in its place. AMAZING!"

"Literally, October 1st, 2017. I was at work, and some dumb electrician started a conveyor line while my hand was inside of the bed trying to readjust a belt. The belt grabbed my left hand, caught it between two rollers, and didn't stop rubbing for about 10 seconds. I got my hand free, no skin on the top of my hand, knuckles, wrist. I got rushed to the hospital, and they explained it was a brush burn and prescribed this to me. I have only used it for one day, and it has already started healing. The tattoo on my hand doesn't even look messed up at all. The only noticeable thing is the belt lines all over my hand, haha."

"I was boiling water to make some tea. And long story short, the pot was at the end of the stove. I turned around and all the boiling water went straight to my whole ankle. Worst pain I've ever been in. Second-degree burn, rushed to the hospital, was in pain for about an hour. Now I know when you get burned, run it through cold water for 15 minutes. Anyway, after an hour, they put some silver sulfadiazine cream on. And the cold cream gave me the biggest relief. I'm going on 3 weeks applying it twice a day. And my skin is beginning to grow the new layer of skin. I'm impressed to say this cream does wonders."

"There was a small fire next door to my apartment. I went to put it out. Well, not knowing, there was a small can of plumbing primer near the flame. The can blew up and went on to me, 35% of my body. I got airlifted to a burn center. I had to leave because I'm a single father with two young children. Grandma had a jar of S.S. I gave it a try, and WOW. "Years ago, I used this on a burn, and it healed within a week. Now I have a ruptured boil (skin infection) that has left a 2'x2' area without skin. The area was still weeping and infected after 10 days of 2 antibiotics, so I asked my doctor for Silvadene because of my previous experience. It's been 10 days since I began using Silvadene, and all infection is now gone, just as I knew it would be. The wound is a little bit smaller than it was, and I'll continue to use Silvadene until new skin has grown over and closed the wound."

"Suffered a second-degree burn on my arm due to an incident in a cryotherapy chamber. Arm was completely burned from the elbow to the wrist. Two friends who are nurses (one who is now my GF) got me some SSD cream, and it worked wonders. Can barely see a scar."
