For Bacterial Vaginosis "I admire how tough and brave y'all are. I didn't have applesauce or pudding, mixed it with jello, and honestly, I gagged the whole time - no exaggerating! I wish I could say it was fine and didn't taste like anything, but even now I have leftover taste, and I want to cry, lol. But this works!!!!! I've taken it before, and it was a dream. I went to my Dr's begging him to prescribe it since metronidazole does absolutely nothing for me. Having this bacteria is honestly emotionally and mentally draining. Wish y'all happy relief!!"

For Bacterial Vaginosis "So I made the mistake and read up on the reviews before taking this medication and was immediately scared about taking it. Up until I took it, I was panicking and super anxious because of how bad all the reviews were in regard to the taste. Let me tell you, I don't know what you guys are talking about, but I legit did not taste a thing! I ended up buying some yogurt land and decided to sprinkle in the granules in there. I did swallow each scoop as fast as I could to avoid any taste, but even then I get a little bit of a metallic taste from it, but nothing like the reviews. I literally just took the medication about 30 minutes ago, so I can’t say anything about if it actually worked or not. I just wanted to comment on the taste and hopefully put some of you guys at ease... super hopeful that this will work!"

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I was prescribed Flagyl, but when I asked for something with fewer doses and no contraindication to alcohol, as I had an upcoming event involving cocktails, she prescribed this medicine, Solosec. She warned me about the taste but assured me it was completely safe to consume alcohol with this medication. I mixed it in 3 tablespoons of raspberry yogurt, swallowing each spoonful quickly and chasing it with water. Not terrible at all. This was around 1 pm. I had a few drinks between 6:30 and 9 pm. I was very nauseous by 9:30, and by 10 I was RUNNING to the bathroom. It started with explosive diarrhea, leading to drenching sweats that had me stripping off my clothes in the bathroom just in time to bury my head in the trash can. This went on and on the entire night. I felt like I was going to die! It is now 4 pm the next day, and I have barely managed a few crackers and ginger ale, I haven't left the couch for more than a few minutes. Needless to say, I will never take this medication again."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I've read all the reviews about how nasty this medicine was and was so nervous. I decided to try something different. I asked the pharmacist if I could take it with Nutella. She looked it up... no interactions. I mixed it in. Two spoonfuls and it was gone. Tasted just like Nutella. No aftertaste. I scraped the bowl making sure I got it all. Now let's hope it works fast and gets rid of my chronic BV that I've had on and off for a year and a half!"

For Bacterial Vaginosis "So I literally took the medication before reading the reviews, but I’m glad I did. In the instructions, it states to swallow it and don’t chew it or crush it up. I ate mine with applesauce (I don’t like yogurt), and I literally finished it in 3 minutes. Every spoon I took, I just swallowed. I did not allow it to get on my tongue. I gave it an 8 because I can still do normal things like consume alcohol with no issue. I’m not sure how fast it will work or what my side effects are, but I literally took it 3 hours ago, and I am still good. So I’m optimistic."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "After getting the medicine for $25, it was a plus utilizing the coupon. I put the medication in my favorite strawberry yogurt, and it was horrible. The taste of the medicine is awful. However, I battled through the taste while having water and a sweet cake in order to get the bad taste out of my mouth. However, I had no bad experiences with the medication. It works fairly quickly, within 24 hours, the smell was gone. I am very pleased with my outcome."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I took this drug for the first time, and I must say that the taste is not that great, but nothing to make you throw up or gag over. I sprinkled it in some strawberry applesauce and washed it down with water. Then, I ate the rest of the applesauce and drank some more water. I did get a slight headache, but nothing severe. I went to the gym, worked out, and kept myself hydrated. No awful taste in my mouth or any other symptoms when I woke up the next morning. I can say that the horrible BV odor is gone."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I was very optimistic about this drug even after reading some reviews. I took the packet with yogurt, and I ended up finishing it all somehow. I felt nauseous the whole time trying to eat it. About a minute after finishing, I projectile vomited all of the medication. What a waste of $90 and my hopes of being BV free."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I took this at 11 am this morning to help cure my BV. It said there are no alcohol restrictions, however, here I am at 3:49 am and have been puking since 11 pm. I had 2 glasses of wine and, had the drug warned against it, would not have done so. I’m literally so sick I’ll have to call into work. Solosec is not worth the $75 I just paid out of pocket for. There are multiple reviews on here stating the same. I’m fuming!!!"

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I made the mistake of reading reviews AFTER I had already consumed the medication and was super worried about side effects. I, fortunately, had very few. The medicine does not taste nearly as awful as some of these reviews portray. It doesn't taste great (it's bitter like crushed aspirin or Tylenol), and I wouldn't eat it on its own, but it's totally manageable in yogurt. I had a metallic taste in my mouth and experienced a bit of nausea and was aware of my stomach for the first 12 hours or so, but it wasn't horrible and I was fine when I woke up the next morning. I've not tried to drink alcohol and probably will not based on some of the other reviews. But this definitely was easier than messy creams or remembering to take a pill 2x a day for a week."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "So it’s been an hour since I took the medication. Yes, it was a bad taste but bearable with applesauce. I have been suffering from BV now for 2 years, and it always comes back. I have tried everything and was told about this 1-dose miracle. So far, so good, nothing is bothering me right now. I will post tomorrow to say how it has worked or hasn’t. But I also have a UTI. My Dr. prescribed both drugs for me and didn't say that I couldn’t take them together."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "It didn’t work for me at all. What a waste of time and money. It left me with a yeast infection, a nasty taste in my mouth, and nausea. Once I was off my period, back to the smell. I’ll just stick to boric acid suppositories in the meantime."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I have had a terrible experience with this drug. I thought it would be tasteless and poured it into yogurt. I struggled to swallow yogurt without crunching the granules and resorted to swallowing yogurt with water. The taste was so unbearable that I almost started vomiting right then and there, but the drug cost $45, and I did not want to waste it. I enjoyed the bowel prep before a colonoscopy above this taste! Instantly, I developed a strong migraine as if I took nitro under my tongue, but the headache never left, and I had associated nausea. It stopped my life. My oldest daughter had to call off work to take care of me and find a babysitter for my youngest as I could not care for her. It was as if I had the flu with a migraine. This drug should be researched more. It made me way too sick just to try to cure a BV infection. I would have rather had a 7-day treatment that did not cause so much sickness and disrupt my life."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "Ok, so I took this, and I woke up the next day throwing up constantly every 30 to 15 mins. Lasted till that next night, till 3 a.m. I still don't feel good. I took it Thursday, and it’s Sunday now. I have diarrhea and feel like I am going to throw up again. Wouldn’t take it again. I just hope that it fixed my BV, because if not, all of that would be for nothing."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "CAUTION, BE VERY CAREFUL! I have always had a sensitive stomach, but have never had issues with Flagyl. Being that this is in the same family, I assumed it would be no different. Boy was I wrong! I took Solosec Monday night at approx 6 p.m., in pudding. As the night wore on, I began to feel crummy, nauseous, and off, so I decided to go to bed. About 1 a.m., I woke up, bolted to the bathroom, tripping over pillows, dogs, and whatever else, to barely make it to the toilet before projectile vomiting. The rest of the night was more of the same. By morning, I was still feeling badly, so I decided to call my doctor's office and let them know. It is now 1 p.m. on Tuesday, and I had to leave my desk (I work from home) and go lie down. I’m still nauseous, have no appetite, and just feel off, but I’m hoping this feeling will go away soon. I can tell you this: I will NEVER take this stuff again! One-day cure or not, I’ll stick with my Flagyl!"

For Bacterial Vaginosis "When I took this medication Solosec, I mixed it in yogurt, and it was absolutely disgusting, but no big deal. Shortly after taking, I began to get hot and had stomach pains. I hadn’t had any alcohol at all before or while taking this medicine, and I was still quite nauseous to the point I almost threw up. I missed work after the first day. Two days into the medicine, I broke out in the worst rash on my chest, stomach, neck, arm, and thigh. I suppose it’s safe to say that I am having an allergic reaction. I am on day 3, and there’s no telling what’s to come today. The medicine itself worked for my BV, but I definitely won’t take this again."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "The taste of secnidazole is absolutely disgusting. I was gagging and dry heaving between bites, but I managed to keep it down. After a day or two, my BV was totally gone. It came back 2 months later, so I am giving it another try. This time, I’ll be doing boric acid suppositories and taking probiotics made for vaginal health. I’m hoping it works as well the second time!"

For Bacterial Vaginosis "So my Dr. recommended I mix it with a drinkable yogurt, and it was fine. I added some honey to it just in case, but it went down effortlessly. I tasted nothing nasty, and all 4 ounces went down without a single gag. I've used this for my recurring BV, and it's the only thing that cures it. I usually need a Diflucan a few days later, so my ob/gyn just prescribes them both: Solosec, then 3 days later a Diflucan. A week after the Solosec, I'm back to normal. No odor or discharge to be found. And I'm a drinker who drank the day of taking it, immediately before and about 2 hours after. No nausea or vomiting, and it still cured my BV. After 2 years of back-and-forth treatments, it was a blessing to find something that actually ended the issue. Now I use 1 applicator of Metrogel weekly, and it's been 5 months of no BV. I'm trying for a baby, so it's important to be able to have sex and not deal with the odor afterwards."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I used this medicine last week, and the taste is horrible. The whole time taking this medication with yogurt, I was gagging!! But I was desperate to get rid of this recurring BV, so I finished it. Omg, it was the worst experience I had. I never had any allergic reaction towards any medication, but this was horrifying. I vomited all night for 6 hours with no stop until I was ready to go to the emergency room. It didn't work for me because I started throwing it up 5 hours after taking the medication."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I paid $25 using the coupon my doctor provided me. As she instructed, I mixed it with applesauce and didn’t chew, and while not pleasant, got it down quickly. She also said no alcohol, which I’ve abided by today. I’ve had no side effects, and the itching has stopped. So far, so good."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "That went badly. After trying other BV treatments, my doctor prescribed Solosec. Insurance refused to cover it, and the doctor's office and I battled with them for a month before giving up - which was when I found out about the savings card on their website. Because my insurance rejected it, I wasn't eligible for the $25, but I did get it for $75, which was at least better than $389. Taking the medication was truly awful - it was the most bitter thing I've ever choked down. Fortunately, I was reading these reviews as I took it, so I avoided alcohol and didn't have any unpleasant side effects. (BTW, drug side effects need to be reported to the FDA, not here, for anyone to be able to see the FDA website. The kicker? It didn't work. I was just re-tested after not feeling much relief, and it was still positive. Now we're looking at long-term management instead of a cure. Fantastic."

For Bacterial Vaginosis "I have suffered with BV for 5 long months! I took every medication except this until yesterday morning! I accidentally drank an alcoholic beverage yesterday evening, and so far everything is good! This smell is gone, my vagina feels good! I’m so excited, thankful my new OB/GYN suggested I take this medication, although my insurance did not cover it, and I had to pay $300! However, I would gladly do it again! Health is wealth, and so far the results are great!"

For Bacterial Vaginosis "Honestly, this medication is a godsend for me. I struggle with BV almost every time I get my period, and I felt like when I wasn’t bleeding, I was taking giant horse pills to try to clear up my BV. The traditional medicine made me so sick. I was constantly nauseous, which would affect my ability to go out with friends, exercise, work, etc. Not to mention constantly missing out on social events because you can’t drink three days before or after taking these meds. The one dose made me feel like I got my life back. I hate how expensive it is, but maybe one day insurance will cover it for me!"

For Bacterial Vaginosis "False advertising, you cannot drink on this without puking! I drink a little daily, so I asked my doctor about a medicine that would not interact with alcohol, and she said this was it. Yet after one single screwdriver, four hours later, I vomited violently... plus the granules were absolutely disgusting, even with cherry applesauce. Plus, it’s so expensive, and I am not even sure if I ingested all the medicine since I vomited four hours later! Argh!"

For Bacterial Vaginosis "Like others, I am desperate to get rid of this BV I have been struggling with now for five years. Yes, that long. UGH. I agree that I thought I would throw it up. I took it last evening and was up a couple of times with an upset stomach. I managed to keep it down. Took some Rolaids, which did help. WHY do they make something so nasty? They could put it in a capsule, the taste is so bad. I am hoping it will work, I guess it stays in your system for four days, we will see. Glad I had a $25 coupon from online. No matter what you take it with, it is like tasting raw aspirin, and the granules get stuck in your teeth. I looked on the instructions, and they have really not had good results...30% of patients have had side effects. We are guinea hens for this research. Let's hope our complaints reach the right ears. Icky stuff."
