"Have been on Kevzara for 6 weeks with absolutely no side effects. Prednisone was at 20 mg at first injection, 15 mg at second injection and now 10 mg at third injection. Plan is to go to 5 mg in two weeks after 4th injection, provided that Sed rate and CRP improve. Goal is to come off prednisone entirely shortly after Jan 1, 2024. Extremely easy to use pen injector, no pain, no redness, no itching. Diagnosed with PMR in January 2023. Dosage is 200 mg per injector pen. Rate this a 10"

"I was unable to wean off Prednisone after 2 1/2 years. Kevzara helped me right away. I have been taking injections every two weeks for 6 months now and I finally feel like a normal person. What a relief!"

"I have had 11 Kevzara 200 mg bi-weekly injections. When I started, I was taking 8 mg of prednisone. I currently am alternating between 3 mg and 4 mg; i.e. 3.5 mg. That is the lowest dosage I’ve been on in the 4 years and 7 months since my PMR began. I was able to begin tapering when I started the 4th month. I still haven’t begun losing all the weight I’ve gained since starting prednisone, still have fatigue but not quite as bad or as often. There are really no new side effects. The day after the injection, I either feel excellent or terrible and spend most of the day in bed. The terrible days aren’t any different from what I’ve experienced over the last 4+ years. The excellent days are the best I’ve felt during the last 4 years."

"I'd been on prednisone for 4 years since 2019 and every time I decreased dosage to wean off of it, inflammation would return. I've been on Kevzara for six months, and I have gotten relief from the pain and stiffness. I have been weaning off of prednisone and will be done with it by the end of March. Kevzara is working for me, and I am able to walk again without the debilitating pain in my knees. I hope I can continue to take it with no side effects. P.S. It took me over 15 years to get a proper diagnosis of PMR - years of suffering before getting any relief!"

"Reported earlier that I hoped to be off prednisone shortly after Jan 1. I came off prednisone entirely on Jan 9, 2024. I had my 7th injection of Kevzara yesterday and I feel just fine. If Kevzara becomes my maintenance drug, so be it. Hope never to need prednisone again. A lot of credit to my PCP for advocating using Kevzara as soon as it was approved for PMR."
