Ropinirole for Restless Legs Syndrome "I was told to take this medication around 5:00 PM. After taking this medicine for a week, I decided that I couldn't take it anymore. It kept me awake and still had restless legs. When I did sleep a little, I had bad dreams and I had repetitive thoughts all throughout the night. It was weird. I cut out caffeine and tried walking more and decided to try it again for a week but no change. I just couldn't take it."

For Restless Legs Syndrome "My Restless Legs Syndrome developed after a back injury, where I was diagnosed with 3 bulging disks and degenerative disk disease about 12 years ago. At first, it was only occasional, and popping my back would sometimes help. The last 3 years, it developed into an every-night hell. The last 6 months, I've been on ropinirole 3mg (worked up to the 3mg), and it was working perfectly! But the last month or so, I have started getting RLS during the day. I'm considering asking my Dr. to increase my dose to 4mg to see if that will keep it at bay. Whether I do or not, I will keep taking it every night because I would rather have RLS during the day when I can walk around than when I'm trying to sleep at night."

For Restless Legs Syndrome "I have been taking the drug for a decade and have found it excellent in relieving and keeping symptoms at bay. I have to take it twice a day, as if I am inactive during the afternoon, I can have an attack of restless leg syndrome. I have found it helps me keep an active and full life."

Ropinirole for Restless Legs Syndrome "I hate the stuff. I wish there was something better out there for people to take. When you stop taking Requip, the RLS is so severe you can’t sit, even sitting in a tub of hot water doesn’t work. It’s just awful and lasts for days."

For Restless Legs Syndrome "I got it while in a detox facility and left with a script. For someone who has severe ADD and constantly restless legs, it was a blessing. Especially with the withdrawal symptoms - it changed everything. I was able to stay still enough to fall asleep. I didn't have my ADD meds (Vyvanse and Adderall) while in the facility, so it was also a help in keeping my ADD symptoms under control."

For Restless Legs Syndrome "Not only restless legs but whole body jerks. After being put on numerous meds, I started having restless leg syndrome, so Cogentin was added to my nightly meds. It got worse to the point my back was having... the only way I know to explain it is-major muscle spasm so tight it would pull my shoulders together and arch my back so hard I was afraid I was going to 'throw my back out.' Called Dr. and he added Ropinirole (Requip). It worked wonders! No more hard spasms. I do still have restless leg symptoms 2-3 times a week, but I can deal with that compared to what I was going through in the beginning. It does scare me being on so many meds and would love to wean off when the time is right. But for now, this works."

For Restless Legs Syndrome "I take 0.25 mg in the afternoon and then 0.50 mg before bed, whether I seem to need it or not. Almost immediately, I begin having restless legs. It does help, but I wonder why it seems to cause restless legs."

For Restless Legs Syndrome "I have been taking this med for 4 years. It used to work a lot better than it does now. I did end up with Parkinson's, but my restless leg is worse. I think I may be asking my doctor to change my medication."
