For Lewy Body Dementia "I've been on rivastigmine for over 2 years now. Started at 1.5 mg twice daily and moved up to 3 mg. I will call this a game changer for me. I am currently 60 and have Lewy Body Dementia, which caused cognitive decline/fluctuations, short-term memory issues, and hallucinations. Rivastigmine has improved my quality of life dramatically. I personally have had no side effects, unlike what donepezil did to me... very serious gastric issues."

For Lewy Body Dementia "My doctor in Latin America recommended Rivastigmine Transdermal System, 4.6 mg/24 hours. I had a slight headache on the first day, nothing on the second day. I feel more alert and have a positive disposition. After 2 months of daily use, I have not felt depressed. My daughters say that my mood has changed, that I do not get upset as easily, and seem to have more energy. The cost of the medicine in Latin America was about $30.00 for a three-month supply. In NJ, with insurance, about $195.00. The price difference is difficult to understand."

For Parkinson's Disease "After 4 days with the patch, mother with advanced Parkinson's was extremely weak and fatigued with insomnia. Dr. suggested stopping for a week, then try half a patch. After 6 days, agitation, irritability, with confusion and paranoia. No more patches and over $246 down the drain. (generic cost)"

Rivastigmine for Alzheimer's Disease "I've only been using this medication (patch) for a month but the positive effects it has had on me are spectacular. It has eased my discomfort and confusion. I have experienced no side effects at all."

For Alzheimer's Disease "The patches don't stay on very well. Have no problem with the patch made by Sandoz. For the price paid, you would expect more sticking power."

For Alzheimer's Disease "Some patches stick and some fall off. I hold the patch on with a Band-Aid. Works! I have a red spot, the size of the patch, on my chest after removing the patch. It clears up after a week."

For Alzheimer's Disease "My wife was in the bathtub when the rivastigmine patch floated by. Her personality changed dramatically. The next day, a similar thing happened when she was in the shower. The patch came off, and that was when I put two and two together and realized that the rivastigmine was calming her personality and she could mix in with a group of people, and they didn't know that she was suffering from Alzheimer's disease. I know right away if I forgot to put the patch on or if I forgot. Now, I won't leave home without it. Don Halabisky"
