For Dietary Fiber Supplementation "Metamucil for sure causes some stomach cramping and constipation at first. You have to drink a lot of water with it and learn how much you can take. For example, I started with 2 tablespoons a day but learned one time a day was enough for me. Pass stools pretty great now. For sure, think there should be more directions on the box than just “take 1-2 scoops.”"

For Constipation "I started taking Metamucil, and initially, it worked, but not without stomach cramps. The next two days, I have had stomach cramps, but no bowel movements. I am ceasing the use of this junk!"

For Constipation "I used the powder twice and had pain in the bowel and an increase in reflux. I then tried the capsules but still got the same results: my stomach upset and bowel pain. I will not use this product again."
