For Eczema "Since having to wear face masks occasionally when I leave the house, I have had contact dermatitis with a swollen, sore, red face - about 8 weeks. At times, my skin was weeping, it was so swollen. Originally diagnosed as hay fever - I had tried other medications. Within 24 hours of using Elidel, my face started repairing. Now into day 3, it is almost back to normal."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I have seborrheic dermatitis and was prescribed hydrocortisone by my GP at first because he wasn't sure what it was (which did help but it's steroid-based). He referred me to a dermatologist who identified what it really was and he prescribed me Elidel. I did my research on what Elidel is like and I was aware that it's been 'possibly' linked to skin cancer and lymphoma with prolonged use. I used Elidel twice a day for three days and my symptoms have completely disappeared. I'm quite aware that I have the condition for life and I'm expecting the symptoms to return, in which case I'll reuse Elidel for a couple of days. For me personally, 100% successful with no side effects whatsoever. But I do not use it every day, only when necessary. It's also probably worth noting that I have a very mild form of seborrheic dermatitis (i.e., red flushing of the face, neck, and chest). I now look normal again and it's given me my confidence back to be seen out in public once more."

For Perioral Dermatitis "I have a lot of skincare allergies that manifest as perioral dermatitis. For years, it cleared up after stopping use of what was triggering it. Two years ago, it became chronic, and not a day went by that I didn't have at least one or two of those annoying bumps, but often more like 10-20 and persistent redness. After being misdiagnosed as folliculitis and rosacea, I found a derm that got it right and was prescribed Elidel because I had already tried and had no success with all of the typical treatments. Elidel was able to completely clear up the rash in less than a week and has continued to keep me clear for weeks now. I did experience a mild warming feeling that went away after a few applications. So happy to finally have some relief."

For Eczema "My dermatologist prescribed me this as I have redness on my face. I have used it nightly for ~6 months now. I can’t say it worked well, maybe there was a little improvement, but it's debatable. I stopped for a few days after 2-3 months, and my face developed a red, raised, and itchy rash. I’ve never had that before on my face, so I was horrified. My dermatologist then prescribed Advantan cream for 3 days, antibiotics for 2 weeks (in place of Oratane, which I was taking), and Cetaphil wash and cream. It worked. She then made me continue with Elidel. I stopped again after 2-3 months for a few days, and the rash is back again. So I can say for sure that this rash is due to stopping Elidel. I believe this is Elidel withdrawal, and more research needs to be done on this, as I see here that I’m not the only one. I’m not sure how long this rash is going to last. Before using Elidel, I have never had such a rash on my face before."

For Perioral Dermatitis "I have used Elidel for 6 months for perioral dermatitis. As soon as I stop, I get red patches with burning bumps. Before that, I used Fucidin, but that just made all the symptoms worse. After that, Rozex, which was drying my skin too much, and then used Elidel. At first, it seemed to be helping, but not anymore. I am on my first week of a 30-day antibiotic course, still no results, but I guess it's too early to see anyway."

For Atopic Dermatitis "Sudden attacks of agonizing atopic dermatitis that resisted all cortisone creams. My dermatologist prescribed Elidel, and it worked! No side effects except my great delight and relief. Now, as another attack has arrived, I paid the outrageous price for a tube, but that side effect is small due to its efficacy."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I suffer from severe atopic dermatitis. I went to several dermatologists before they could figure out my condition. I tried several creams and ointments, but they all burned and made the skin red and swollen. Then it would all flake away and become inflamed again. In 5 days of using Elidel, my skin is clearer than it's been in months! It doesn't burn going on the skin (I keep it in the fridge), and it feels smooth going on. Definitely apply a moisturizer after application. Elidel has been a godsend!! I hope it works for everyone else. Elidel is very expensive."

For Eczema "After battling facial eczema for over five years, which of course makes one agoraphobic and unwilling to go out to a supermarket, let alone a pub or a nightclub, and with no respite from two different dermatologists in Brussels, I tried Elidel after my mum sent me a newspaper cutting about a British model who was suffering from eczema and had tried it with successful results. Overnight (!) the redness went away. It hasn't gotten rid of the eczema completely, and I still have to use it when I feel a flare-up coming. Elidel changed my life: my facial skin is a 'regular' color now (maybe just fractionally too red but only fractionally, and nobody would ever comment on it), and I once again go out to pubs and nightclubs in Belgium. 5/5 stars."

For Eczema "This cream changed my 7-year-old daughter's life. She is now 17 and no longer has severe eczema. Because of this cream, she was able to finally sleep through the night without waking to scratch. She no longer got the white skin patches that hydrocortisone cream gave her. The change was dramatic and life-changing. We live in NZ."

For Eczema "I've suffered from eczema since childhood, and Elidel completely eradicated the severe eczema lesions behind my knees. While I still have a few spots that pop up during the winter, Elidel keeps it controlled. Very effective cream, just very pricey."

For Eczema "About five years ago, both my cheeks were covered in weeping, chapped, burning, and itchy patches. It was so bad that I could actually wipe my hand across my cheek in the shower and the skin would come off. Steroids helped, but not at all enough. Elidel gave me my face and my confidence back. It took time, but it worked with little side effects--for me, my nose runs and my sinuses burn. Now, my eczema has come back, and I'm back on the Elidel, and it's working like a charm already. It's outrageously expensive, however. It was 480 dollars with insurance, which I got down to 180 with a coupon. Due to the price, I would recommend exploring more affordable options before resorting to Elidel. You never know what will or won't work for you."

For Perioral Dermatitis "I have struggled with POD since coming off of Accutane 1.5 years ago. I have tried a few treatments, and they have always helped with the pain but never really helped with aesthetics. It sometimes goes away on its own but it always ends up coming back with a vengeance. My dermatologist prescribed me Elidel 1 month ago, and oh my God, it is the best thing on this earth. It burnt for a good few hours when I first applied it, but nothing unbearable. It has completely cleared up my POD, and I am seeing my face properly for the first time in years. Definitely, definitely recommend."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I was getting persistent breakouts (atopic dermatitis) on my face, especially after shaving. I first began using prescription-strength hydrocortisone cream and other steroid creams, but after a while, they lost their effectiveness and began making my skin worse. And it caused thinning of my skin. I eventually started using Elidel, and my skin significantly improved right away. Elidel caused no adverse reactions. I barely need to use Elidel anymore. Elidel was initially not covered by my insurance. However, my dermatologist was able to obtain prior authorization by submitting records showing that steroid creams did not work."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I was prescribed this cream by a consultant dermatologist. I used it on my eyebrows on and off for some 5-6 months. Recently, my glands on one side of my neck have swollen. I don't have a cold or flu or any other symptoms of any viral infection, apart from a reddening of my throat. My GP prescribed some antibiotics, which don't seem to have done much. I still have a sharp pain when I breathe in quickly through my nose or lie on that side of my neck in bed. I haven't used this since and don't intend to use it again, nor do I trust the pharma industry."

For Eczema "At first, I thought this stuff worked great for my eczema, but then I woke up to around 40 zits under my arm... (which is where I applied it to my eczema)... so disappointed... it hurts, and my rash looked better than these nasty zits everywhere... now it hurts to wear a bra..."

For Eczema "Frustrated with the lack of effectiveness of any of the medications I have been given for this condition - including Elidel. Still experiencing extreme itchiness, oozing, peeling, and cracked skin. Over the years, more areas of my body are affected by this condition. Painful and unsightly."

For Eczema "I am a 63-year-old male who has been experiencing eczema on the face for close to a year now. I was prescribed Elidel and use it at least twice a day to keep the eczema in check. It doesn't go away completely, but does calm it down."

For Eczema "After discovering the cost of the medication, I asked my physician if I could get a sample before buying it. The pharmaceutical company would not send samples. That should have been an indication that it might not be effective. I finally purchased the prescription of 30 g for $250. I have not found the product to be very effective. It makes the area applied to very dry, which leads to the skin cracking. Vaseline works as well as the Elidel at a fraction of the cost."

For Atopic Dermatitis "Elidel, used in conjunction with applying Nizoral shampoo on my face for 7 minutes every day (as directed by my dermatologist - apply twice a week after 7 days), has almost completely cleared the dermatitis on my face and neck within a week. I now look normal and feel like I might finally have my life back again after years of struggling with steroid creams that eventually stopped working and, more recently, being off work and not leaving the house due to looking like a leper! No burning or stinging for me. Long may this phase continue."

"I was given this medicine by my physician for less than a pea-size dry patch. It burned my skin severely, causing it to become discolored. It burned my skin, making it become more dry and cracked. Over the years, my symptoms have gotten progressively worse. I may have Crohn's now, and I get a bunch of swollen lymph nodes. My hands are now crippled, and I have to pry them apart. This cream has weakened my immune system as well. I am very weak at times. I feel helpless because I couldn't do things for my girls. I tried reaching the company, and all they had to say was... keep us informed. I sent pictures and everything. I reached back out to get no response."

For Atopic Dermatitis "Unfortunately, I am a large-breasted woman, breastfed three sons, so it's no wonder under my breasts became sensitive when I reached my 40s. My primary doctor gave me creams and eventually steroid cream, which also thinned my skin as well (I see others had the same issue). The dermatologist gave me Zeasorb powder, which strangely enough is sold for athlete's foot, and then the Elidel cream, which was 30 bucks for a small tube! However, after using it for a week, the rash is completely gone for the first time in over three years. Next time, I'll go right to the dermatologist for skin issues. I had no side effects."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I was worried about using this cream as I had heard that once you stop, your dermatitis will come back. I used the cream twice a day for 2 weeks, and now it’s been 5 days since I stopped, and the dermatitis hasn’t come back! I’m feeling happy and hopeful! I don’t think my dermatitis was allergy-related (I’ve never had it before, and it was only on 1 eyelid). This is the only thing that helped (I didn’t try steroid cream)."

For Perioral Dermatitis "I've been using Elidel twice a day for a week, and it has reduced the burning and itching of my POD about 90%. However, I'm still dealing with its brownish-red scars, which is called post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. I'm gonna continue the use of Elidel for another 3 weeks and again share my experience."

For Perioral Dermatitis "MAGIC for me.... A few weeks back, I noticed a red, itchy rash, small raised bumps that would burn with any topical I put on it. It spread around my forehead, chin, jaw, and cheeks. The bumps were not clogged pores, more itchy, inflamed, blistery, flesh-colored with redness in the area. I was having an allergic reaction to recently switching to fluoride toothpaste (mask-wearing exacerbated the issue). I stopped using the paste immediately and saw some clearing up occur except for in very stubborn areas that kept flaring. My derm was amazing and diagnosed this as PD and prescribed Elidel. Within 4 days of using this 2x a day, my symptoms had completely cleared. Stay away from the sun and drinks!! Each person is different, depending on what your situation is, if you know your triggers and have eliminated them, this may be an answer to help clear your skin and return it to calm fast."

For Eczema "Developed dermatitis around my eyes. Flare-ups became more and more frequent and lasted longer each time. I didn't like the idea of putting cortisone on my eyelids for prolonged periods, so I did research on other safer alternatives. I've since switched to Elidel, and it has completely cleared up the rash, no more itching, no redness, and the damaged skin is finally getting a chance to heal. Used sparingly on my eyelids is enough to keep the dermatitis from reappearing. It can dry the skin out, but nowhere near as bad as cortisone. Counteract dryness with coconut oil, which works better than commercial moisturizers for me. We have Medicare in Australia, and the script cost me less than $20. Got my life back and building confidence again now my eyes don't look red and puffy. I used to get asked on a regular basis, 'What's wrong with your eyes? Are you high?' It was embarrassing since I have a professional job and really had me depressed for almost a year until Elidel came along and saved me."
