Obinutuzumab "I had 8 infusions. I did very good, usually around 6 hrs of drip. Went to the gym after 3 of them. Ran a 9-mile race the day after. One of them was just very tired the next day. I now take Calquence. White blood cells went from 45,000 to 5,000. So happy. It's been 2 years now. Life is great. Love the ones you love, and be kind to all."

Obinutuzumab "Received Gazyva-Venetoclax combo in 2020-2021 to treat CLL/SLL, got a complete response and am still cruising along in Jan. 2025 with no meds; I am starting to see lymph node enlargement and will follow up as scheduled in March. I really liked a treatment with an endpoint. No problems with the pre-medications or infusions, and though the combo sent me into neutropenia in the middle of the pandemic, I didn't catch COVID until they had Paxlovid. The combo did require frequent bloodwork, especially with the neutropenia. I am hoping to use the same combo when the time comes for retreatment! The alternative, Imbruvica, is not as easy on folks with cardiac symptoms as this treatment."

"I took obinutuzumab in combination with venetoclax as part of a study at a research institution. I was supposed to take obin at one-week intervals for three weeks, then monthly for several more. Venetoclax was to start after a month. The first dose of obin was a ten percent dose to check for reactions. I had several different reactions, and they learned I needed to have a steroid, antihistamine, anti-nausea drug, and Tylenol before each treatment. The second day when the rest of the dose was infused went well. The obin was a bit like dynamite fishing, it killed plenty of fish but sure messed up the environment. It lowered my red blood cells, platelets, and neutrophils a lot. I landed up in the ER after a blood transfusion that week, where they admitted me for three days and pumped me full of antibiotics. It lowered my platelets so much they couldn’t give me a second dose for over a month. After my second dose, I felt much better than before I started and had no further issues."

Obinutuzumab "I had these infusions 5 years ago for initial treatment for SLL, had no problems with the actual infusions but developed neutropenia-Venetoclax may have also been partially responsible for the neutropenia. I had several shots of Granix (?) and reduced Ven to 300 mg. Made it through to the 1-year mark on Ven, total of 8 Gazyva infusions that lasted me till now-5 years. I begin my second treatment for SLL next month; doc says they typically use Ven only for second treatment, but my nodes are so full they're beginning to hurt to the touch. I'm planning to ask for at least 2-3 Gazyvas because I don't want TLS! Between Ven and Gazyva, lots of blood work needed-but it was worth it to have no meds these past 4 years!"

Obinutuzumab "Began treatment January - June 2015. First day was rough due to an increase in blood pressure and a deluge of dead cancer cells. Going on ten years, and all CBCs are normal as of 10/2024."

Obinutuzumab "I was very happy with the results. I was up to 83,000 white count, and after the first treatment, it was down to 5,300. After one month, it was still down. I go back in Sept. for my next blood test."
