"I have bladder cancer and started Opdivo 2 weeks ago. At first, no side effects, but after one week, I noticed achy elbows and hips, plus my lower back, along with being unusually tired. The next day, had the same joint aches, plus a headache and tiredness. Took 2 Advil for relief. 10 days out, and I am extremely tired, have aches in my joints still, and now have pressure behind both eyes and headaches. No vision change. Trying to stay well hydrated and rest to see if symptoms go away or lessen. Scheduled blood tests with a consult with the oncologist in 4 days. Will review this with her then or call her if symptoms worsen."

"I am on my second go-around with Opdivo. My first experience was pretty good. We used Opdivo in combination with Yervoy. I broke out into a severe rash over a large portion of my body. We discontinued the Yervoy and moved forward with Opdivo alone. Treatment was good with no additional issues. My body became cancer-free, and after about a year, treatment was complete. I went 18 months cancer-free until a follow-up screening revealed it was back. That was last November 2022. I started the Opdivo once again and have been cancer-free since January. I continue to receive monthly treatment and feel pretty good. I love my doctors, they are the best!!!"

For Colorectal Cancer "Was out of remission and had to take radiation and Opdivo. The cancer was resolved by the radiation treatment, not the Opdivo. What the Opdivo did was damage not only my thyroid but my salivary glands as well and caused blisters in my mouth."

"My husband had bladder cancer. His bladder was removed in February 2021. Doctors wanted him to start Opdivo, which he did. Several months after taking this, he started having flu-like symptoms. Now he is in ICU fighting for his life on a respirator. He has pneumonitis, inflammation in the lungs. Doctors don't tell you the severe side effects. If he had it to do all over again, I would have encouraged him to not take this medication. Do your homework. It is awful watching someone go through what he has been through. I would say no to this drug."

For Head and Neck Cancer "Well, it seems to work. I had squamous cell cancer in my left sinus, and after three treatments, the cancer is resolved, apparently. The side effects are brutal, though - diarrhea, constipation, weight loss, skin issues, sleep issues, and fatigue. Don't know how long they're going to go on."
