Multivitamin with minerals "I was taking this for macular degeneration. I take it with meals and get nausea and bloating. I take it without food, and I get the same. I take other meds, and I separated the pill taking, still nausea. Where do I go to take these supplements for a serious illness? Ask the doctor for an anti-nausea medication that I would have to take twice a day?"

Multivitamin with minerals "Preservision AREDS2 was prescribed by my ophthalmologist about 23 months ago, 2 times each day. I found that I needed to take them with food as they upset my stomach. Now I have begun having severe diarrhea, running to the bathroom. I won't continue taking these. I already have a problem losing weight and feel this med may be to blame."

Multivitamin with minerals "I took AREDS 2 Plus Multivitamin for a couple of years with no problem. Now they no longer sell it with the multi included, so I am taking the plain AREDS 2 formula. It causes me an upset stomach, and the other version caused no problem. I know AREDS 2 is the gold standard, but I am going to look elsewhere for similar vitamins. I have been on this version for 1 week."

Multivitamin with minerals "I am so happy I found this thread. My eye doctor recommended I take PreserVision 2 for preliminary macular degeneration. I have had the worst hot flashes, like I was going to faint on numerous occasions. I'm 68, and it's not menopause. I thought, what have I changed in the past month, and these vitamins are the only thing. Quitting these immediately and will get my vitamins through healthy eating. Do NOT recommend."

Multivitamin with minerals "After one month, I developed edema of both feet and ankles while taking Centrum Women Multigummies. It took me several months to identify the cause of the swelling. Upon discontinuing the Centrum Women Multigummies, within three days, the edema stopped."

Multivitamin with minerals "Upon taking one tablet of Centrum Silver multimineral/women 50 plus, and within one to two hours, I am experiencing nausea, vomiting, and shortly after (within an hour), diarrhea. Multivitamin with minerals "I’ve been taking this for a week now, and I really can notice a big difference when waking up and all day long. I don’t feel tired or have mood swings. I also take Lexapro as well, which I’ve been on for almost 8 years now. I do believe that an antidepressant cannot be taken alone without any supportive drug along with it, either drug or vitamins."

Multivitamin with minerals "After taking one tablet dissolved in about 5 oz. of water in the evening, the next morning when I woke up, I had a discomfort like an upset stomach. It was not sufficient to throw up, but it came back a couple of hours after eating now for 3 days. If I drank a glass of water, the condition disappeared again for a number of hours. I took the Airborne tablet at the suggestion of my wife, as I felt a cold coming on. The cold never came on."

Multivitamin with minerals "For the last 3-4 months, I had trouble focusing at a distance. I took one tablet, and my central vision immediately went back to normal. I was quite amazed. I asked my eye doctor yesterday, and she said yes, some people do get good results from Ocuvite. But she said more studies are needed. I would like to know the mechanism of why it works because I do not want any side effects."

Multivitamin with minerals "I felt energy the first day and overall much better, but I noticed pain in my spinal muscles and it got worse as I took the vitamin. I have never been one to take the full dose of anything, if I could cut it in half, I do. But I had to stop this altogether."

Multivitamin with minerals "I have taken Centrum for Men, Centrum Silver, and Centrum Silver for Men and never had any problems with any of them. I really don’t know if these vitamins or any other vitamins are helpful or necessary, but for me, there has been no downside. I chose Centrum after my investigation, but after that, my doctor told me Centrum was what he would recommend. I also take flaxseed oil because it was recommended by the physician who performed LASIK in order to prevent dry eyes. Otherwise, I eat close to a Mediterranean diet and do a lot of aerobic exercise. Keeps me healthy at 73."
