Centrum Silver (multivitamin with minerals) "I was taking 25mg JANUVIA(for blood sugar) is mall amount but I verified on the second day that my sugar was high 195 and no food. I think Centrum Silver interacts with the Januvia. Very careful if you are taking pills for sugar or blood pressure."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "I'm so sick right now, I don't really like typing this review. I bought a bottle of 120 PreserVision, per my eye dr. orders. I do have M.D. Last night I counted what was left in the bottle. I have taken 28 caplets. I have only been taking one a day. I have been so sick every day. Sick at my stomach, stomach pain, very weak, very tired, my back and joints hurting to the point I have had to use pain meds. I have been to ER with horrible pain in middle of my back around to my side and chest. It wasn't a heart issue. My vitals were ok and my blood test was ok. I'm a person who was walking 2 miles most days of the week. I can't now. I have low back pain, leg pain and heel pain. I have felt very unwell, every day since the day I started talking AREDS 2. I can't swear that all these problems are caused by PreserVison but after reading these reviews I'm not taking more. I told my eye dr. about my problems taking P.V AREDS 2, he told me to keep talking them."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "I began taking these as directed on box. Have had this dull migraine ever since. Migraine is dull because I've been taking my Nurtec for it. Nurtec normal kicks my migraines butt, but when it didn't I began to wonder if it was these supplements. So glad I came across this site! I now know it was being caused by a reaction to the Alreds2. The nausea wasn't from my migraine as I had thought too. It was from this supplement. So thankful for everyone who has shared their experiences here, as it is preventing me from the continued misery being caused by this supplement. If I hadn't came across this site & thread, I would have continued thinking my body either needed to adjust to the supplement or was experiencing an out of the normal migraine episode."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "Been taking Bausch & Lomb Areds2 for one week. I have experienced more than normal acid reflux and lots of belching, my eye floaters have become more noticeable, have experienced an increase of blurry vision, but the worst side effect is severe tightness in lower back. I thought maybe I had hurt my back, or had somehow got a kidney infection. Now after reading other reviews, I'm pretty sure the problem is related to these PreserVision vitamins. Am going to stop taking them immediately."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "I took my first dose an hour ago, felt nauseous within 30 minutes and was vomiting ten minutes later. I have vomited five times in the first hour. It was scary because the gel cap and it’s contents are red, so my first thought was that I was vomiting blood (I wasn’t). Now I sitting here wondering when this will end and whether or not I should be trying to drink lots of water to flush it out of my system or encourage more vomiting to get it all out. The level of vitamin e is no higher than vitamin e doses that I have taken in the past. It could be the night dose of zinc, or maybe just a reaction to the marigold or other ingredient in their product. I am also wishing I hadn’t bought the 210 count bottle. It’s only 7pm, but it feels like this is going to be a long night. Hoping the nausea passes soon."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "My doctor recommended this eye supplement to protect my eyes from the beginnings of macular degeneration which is currently stable. I take one tablet with breakfast and one with dinner and have done so for about one month. Well, I haven’t been sleeping soundly since taking these red pills. I’ll sleep for two or three hours and then need to use the bathroom and then two or three more hours of sleep, etc. I’m glad I found others on this site with sleep issues due to the red pill!! I’m going to stop taking it."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "I was told to take this for my AMD and have had horrible nausea, heartburn, constipation, muscle problems. I had no idea it could have caused by the Preservision! I will immediately stop taking them as I haven’t felt well since the day I started taking them! Hope I don’t go blind but can’t continue feeling like this!"

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "I just wanted to improve my eye sight and my Mom recommended AREDS 2. Never taken them consistently but experienced nausea every time. Especially if I took it on an empty stomach. Two days ago I took my regular vitamins which consist of vitamin D and iron and a few minutes later took an AREDS 2 and got horribly sick. I had severe stomach cramps and nausea, I couldn’t get out of the bed I was in so much pain. After taking Prilosec and a Nexium I managed to feel a lil better that evening. The next day every time I tried to eat or drink water my stomach began to cramp and I experienced extreme dehydration and joint pain no matter how much water I drank. Hopefully the worst is over, will never take those again! They should be taken off the market or have some serious warnings on them!"

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "I was prescibed AREDS2 by Retina Therapist. Said to take any brand. I chose Preservision AREDS2 as heard it was the best. Well after I started taking it the first day felt extremely nauseous, very shaky, diarrhea, blurred vision. I kept taking my 1 in am & 1 in pm with food and did it for 5 days and just became sicker & sicker. It was so bad. So I stopped taking & am having a terrible time getting it out of my system & its been 3 days and still sick. I am staying very hydrated. Saw my eye Dr and he said to stay off it and it should be out of my system in 5 days. This stuff is extremely high in Zinc 40 mgs per capsule so taking 2 you are getting 80 mg of Zinc which is way way too much, esp for me as I only weigh 98 lbs and am a small woman. That’s way way too much Zinc for me. Even 1 capsule of 40 mgs of Zinc is way too much! So I attribute the huge amounts of Zinc for causing me to get so sick. I have read reviews stating Zinc dosage was way too high. Will try one that has only 12.5 mg"

Centrum Silver Women's (multivitamin with minerals) "I have been experiencing nausea and diarrhea past few days and just realized it’s coinciding with my taking Centrum silver. I’ve never had issue with other multivitamins. I will stop taking as it has not ceased even though what I’m reading says symptoms should subside after a few days. It’s not worth it"

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "I started taking Preservision 2 weeks ago. After taking one pill in the morning and one in the evening I became very nauseous. Took recommended dosage for 2 more days and still became very nauseous. I have Glaucoma and was hoping this would help. Also, my vision has become blurry, my left eye is sensitive to light, and I had muscle weakness, hot flashes, and night sweats. This stuff is horrible. I have stopped taking it but still have some nausea. Hopefully, it will be better soon. FDA needs to inspect the ingredients or how it's made!"

Ocuvite (multivitamin with minerals) "Bought bottle of Ocuvite Adult+ Vit. & Min. Supplement at our drug store on July 28, 2022. Expiry date was ok: 2023-08. I took one gel cap around 10 pm. I woke up with a horrible headache. Pounding, stabbing and my head felt swollen as if it was going to explode. I am totally healthy... took no other meds... don't get headaches normally. The drug store won't take the pills back and there 1-800 number on the pkg for Bausch+Lomb, which I could call to get a refund! It's July 29 noon now and the headache is gone but my head is still buzzing and my balance is off. I hope they take it off the market!!!"

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "I should have checked before ordering this medication. I took my first dose, yesterday, and within an hour was horribly ill with stomach cramps, severe bloating, nausea and back pain. Somehow, it didn’t occur to me that it was the Preservision. I just took a second day’s dose, twenty minutes ago, and am already feeling sick, again. Googled and found these reviews. I’m so angry. This is ridiculous. This shouldn’t even be on the market or, at the very least, should come with clearly marked warnings. Sitting here, wondering if I should try to bring this dose back up or flush my system with water."

Hemax (multivitamin with minerals) "Actually, I've been on Hemax for a short period of time, per the recommendation of my OB/GYN, versus me taking 6 pills a day per my primary care physician. I like it so far, the side effects are minimal. Please be sure to read the label, as there were some "don'ts" included that I normally do every morning like drinking coffee, eating eggs, these items should not interact with this pill, and I'm glad I caught that before I started taking it, it's best on an empty stomach. I'm happy to be taking one pill which has everything in it that the 6 had, and has more iron. So, right now I think it pretty good, and hopefully will have a positive effect on my iron levels the next time I have my labs done."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "I have wet macular degeneration in one eye. Have been taking Eyelea injections every 6 weeks for two years. In the last six months taking 2 Preservision Areds 2 capsules each day the most annoying symptom is severe constipation which I have rarely had in the past. My retina specialist recommended these and I have regularly taken them. I’m interested in another compound which would be effective."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "I became nauseous within ten minutes of taking these. I experienced severe bloating. I drank water slowly, as well as sparkling water, hoping to tamp down the nausea. I laid down for ten minutes but needed to race to the bathroom with terrible diarrhea followed by four vomiting episodes a few minutes later. This all came on within 30 minutes of taking these caplets with food, water. 90 minutes later and I still have stonach aches, bloating, diarhhea I took two at the same time. That could be the reason I’m so ill, but I will report this to my doctor and never take them again. Whether these are effective, I’ll never know."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "Diagnosed very young for age related MD- I’ve been on AREDS for years with very little progression of this disease Bc I have taken AREDS- I can only tolerate one per day and yet it held my MD from getting worse/it has gotten better! I’m 61 now- I thought I’d be blind! It does make me sick sometimes and it’s awful but I’d rather be sick sometimes than blind. I’m grateful even when I’m terribly sick."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "I started taking Areds2 many years before my diagnosis of AMD. My dad took them for his AMD so I was genetically in the high-risk category and figured I'd get a "leg up." I've been taking them for probably 8 years with no problem and that (and, I'm convinced, my daily dose of blueberries - doctor approved!) has kept my AMD from worsening. Just recently I started getting blurriness in one eye and went to see my specialist to make sure it wasn't a bleed (I have dry MD in both eyes). He said there had been a couple of recent studies about MD and zinc and since I was in the high-risk range he gave me a substitute eye supplement with only 25mg of zinc as opposed to 80. So while I just recently had a problem with it (perhaps) I have to say it's served me really well for a long time."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "My eye doctor recommended that I start taking this supplement after he discovered that I have the beginnings of glaucoma. I would take one in the morning and one at night. Within a short amount of time I experienced a very sore feeling in my stomach with a lot of belching and horrible persistent gas. I thought it was due to a new coffee that I was trying. I have been diagnosed with gastritis and a bilateral hiatal hernia in the past so I have to be careful of what I consume. I initially did not think that Areds 2 was the culprit. I changed coffee and stopped taking all of my supplements and quickly I felt so much better. I decided to slowly start reintroducing my supplements back in. And then it occurred to me that I should look up the side effects of Areds 2. Boy am I glad that I did! I found all of these reviews and I was astonished. I felt that I needed to contribute my experience as well."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "After reading through these accounts of Areds2 side effects, I am starting to wonder whether my frequent headaches, occasional bad constipation, dizzy spells, and a recent diagnosis of low blood pressure (90/49) after three months on Areds2 for macular degeneration might be related. It never occurred to me until I read this chat box. I am curious to know if anyone else has experienced a significant drop in their blood pressure due to Areds2. Before switching to the new Areds2, I was using Areds with Lutein, which had stabilized my macular degeneration without any complications."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "I don’t normally write reviews, but I wanted to share a positive experience with AREDS 2 to that my mom and I both had. My mom was first prescribed AREDS 2 by her optometrist after her cataract surgery at the age of 75. She had no issues, or side effects from this vitamin supplement. After her follow up appointment with her eye doctor and the positive benefits it was doing for her eye condition, I also started taking them at the age of 45. I have been taking them now for 8 years and through laser surgery, my doctor was impressed on how fast my eyes healed. I haven’t had any reactions or side effects from this vitamin supplement either, and I believe it has also helped in keeping my eyes moist and from drying out. My review is to say, that AREDS 2 has helped and worked as described benefits for our family, and we have been very fortunate not to of had any of the allergic reaction’s that have been noted and discussed in the previous reviews and warnings."

PreserVision AREDS 2 (multivitamin with minerals) "I’m 65 and thought this would be good insurance for keeping my eyes healthy. I still have 20/20 vision after seeing the optometrist last month, and thankfully no eyesight problems. However my Mom and I also think my Grandmother were both diagnosed with Macular Degeneration. What a mistake! Less than 30 minutes after taking one of these capsules, I had awful abdominal pains, and felt sick to my stomach! I am just going to throw them away … Not going to risk ruining another afternoon feeling this badly! Surprised that an OTC vitamin like this would cause such serious side effects."
