For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I began this medication 6 weeks ago. I read reviews first and thought, wow, this might work. Over the last 10 years, I have lost 135 lbs through diet and exercise. I am recovering from an injury and can't workout with the intensity I had, so I began this drug. I didn't notice any side effects or loss of appetite. The next week, I increased the dosage with no results either. From reading reviews, I thought, what's wrong with me that it doesn't work? I increased the dosage the third week only to feel sick, and thought, I don't want to feel this way. I rarely put reviews up, but I want people to know it's not just them, it didn't work for others as well."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started using Saxenda on 31st October to help aid weight loss. I was extremely worried about all the side effects, but I have lost 11 lbs since. Yesterday, I increased my dosage to 1.8, and today I have suffered massively with feeling sick and having pains in my stomach. I am going to reduce my dosage back to 1.2 and continue until I feel it is no longer working. So far, I'm really happy with the results!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "First time taking Saxenda, no problems. Increased dosage as stated, lost 8 lbs in a month. Two years later, got a new Saxenda pen, have been violently sick, felt ill, and extremely tired every day. Now I am covered in a rash, even on my eyelids, short of breath, pale, sickly, burning sensation. I took it for 2 weeks, stopped 2 days ago, and feel like death. No clear help anywhere on what to do, how long it takes to get out of your system. There's a COVID epidemic, can't get into doctors. Feel really silly I didn't click on straight away that the pen was making me sick, I thought I had food poisoning. Then I took a COVID test and got a negative result, thank God. But that's how ill I've been, I actually thought I had COVID."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Saxenda made me sick the entire time I used it, and I lost about 20 lbs (I am active and work out 4-5 times a week and eat a healthy diet) initially. After I stopped taking it, the weight came back and more. No matter what I do, exercise and monitor diet, I cannot lose weight as I have many times in my life. Somehow, I feel Saxenda altered my metabolism irrevocably. I DO NOT SUGGEST ever using this drug."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I have just started using this medicine yesterday. I felt a little sick yesterday, but wasn't. Second day today and I feel sick again and was sick after my breakfast. I don't feel so hungry as I did before. I do feel a lot fuller. I hope this works as I need to get my life back under my control instead of being controlled. Fingers crossed."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started with this drug on Tuesday, not too bad when taken at bedtime, however, I wanted my injection time to be first thing in the morning as this is much easier for me time-wise. Today was the second injection-oh my heavens, can we say morning sickness?! That is exactly what it feels like. I have virtually no appetite. I tried to eat a little something (I had been on Dr's orders to fast for blood work), so let me tell you how that went-it didn't. I could not get past the taste of food in my mouth, I was physically ill. I stopped at SBUX and bought a hot tea-oh heaven! I was able to soothe my stomach and feel a little bit better. I have to muster through work regardless of how I feel. I am hoping for results-not a miracle. Here we go!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "6 weeks in and I've seen some great results! Started on 86 kgs, now down to 79.9 kgs. Here are some great pointers for people to use. 1. An eating plan is very important. 2. Regular exercise that keeps your heart pumping at least 3 times a week. 3. Don't inject more than 1.2 ml, otherwise, it makes you hurl, literally, and you won't be able to keep food down. 4. Have one day off a week with no injection. 5. Have your cheat meal the day you don't inject, otherwise, it makes you feel sick."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started using Victoza as I am overweight and managed to lose 2 pounds the first week. I have been sick kind of after the shot, but doing better now. Started at 0.6 and now am on 1.2. This week has been better."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "My Dr. recommended Saxenda in place of Duramine, that I occasionally take maybe 2 weeks a year. Have been on Saxenda for 14 days, upped my dose yesterday from 0.6 to 1.2. Horrible experience, my head was ringing so bad I couldn't sleep, I felt sick and had bad reflux. So I checked more in-depth the side effects and came to the conclusion this drug is very dangerous, so I have decided not to take it any longer."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "March 9, 2016, went to my doctor to receive my first prescription of Saxenda. I am at a dosage of 0.6 for one week, and every week I am to up my dosage. As of right now, it's only my third day of using it, but I do notice when I overeat, I feel very sick. I have not experienced any of the other side effects... hopefully I don't. I will continue to keep you updated."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started this medicine in June. I lost 29 lbs on it. I got to the 3 on the injection and started with the sickness. Stopped using this. I went to the doctor and told him what was going on, and he recommended that I start back on the lower dosage. So it is August 20th, and I started back over. So far, so good."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have just started taking Saxenda 2 days ago on the 11th of September 2019 after I told my doctor I was considering a gastric band. I am 59, 5ft 4in, and currently weigh 15 stone 9. I managed to lose just over 2 stone in the last year with Slimming World but have recently put 9 lbs back on. This is only day 3, and I'm starting to feel a little sick, but I'll stick with it. Reading other reviews is helping, so I will post again in a couple of weeks."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "It made me so violently sick that I ended up hospitalized and had to stop taking it, which was extremely frustrating, not only because of how ill I felt, but because of how expensive it was and ended up having to waste another month's worth that I paid for. The first week of taking Saxenda, I lost about 5-6 lbs, after a month, I was down almost 15 lbs, but after that, nothing more happened... not to mention within a week of being taken off the drug, I already gained almost 5 pounds back and counting. Don’t do this to your body."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I'm a 22-year-old female. I've only been on Saxenda for 5 days now, I haven't really had any symptoms at all... no sickness, headaches, stomach pains... nothing. The only thing I've found is that I'm no longer ever hungry... like ever. These past 5 days, I've not even thought about food, which is unusual for me. I'm only managing small amounts before I'm not even feeling full, I'm just satisfied. I am struggling to actually eat and remind myself to drink. So far, I have lost 4 lb! I'm going to stay on the 0.6 ml for another week after this and see if I do as well as my first week, as I have seen with others that after a while on the 3.0 ml, they tend to plateau. My doctor said to stick at 0.6 ml until I slow down losing weight and then increase it a little. This also means I'm saving money, as it will last me longer! I'm only 5 days in, but this already seems to be working wonders for me! Hopefully, it carries on!"

For Type 2 Diabetes "I started Victoza a week ago, and I have lost 10 lbs. I think it's brilliant, but the only thing is the sickness. Every time I eat, I vomit, but hopefully that won't last much longer. I was an insulin taker until I stopped at my own accord after piling on the pounds, which is very dangerous. I think this medicine is the best ever. I have tried everything to lose weight, and this is all that worked, and plus my blood sugars are perfect since I started, which they were all unbelievably high. I would say this is a lifesaver."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I was on insulin but couldn't get my A1C down. It was 8.9, so she put me on Jentadueto and Victoza. The first 2 days, I was really sick. 3rd day (today), I vomited so bad I was about to give up, then decided to try taking the Victoza at bedtime instead of morning. Will see if it works. The first day, I didn't eat a thing. It totally makes you not want to eat ANYTHING. I actually had to force myself to eat a banana this morning, and that's when I vomited. I hope these side effects go away because I think this is the right medicine for weight loss. I'm still taking Novolog once a day if my blood sugar is over 150. Will update soon."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I had a hard time assigning a numerical rating. On one hand, Victoza seemed like magic in that it lowered my sugars so reliably and instantly. It almost seemed like validation that I wasn't doing anything 'wrong'-my body needed help with sugar metabolism. That earns a 10. On the other hand, I have to take into account quality of life. NEVER have I been so sick, for so many days consistently/consecutively. I am not a person who gets sick easily. I do not miss work due to illness. I function through colds, upset stomach, headaches, muscle pain-you name it. Victoza knocked me on my butt. I was sick every day for 3 weeks. All the same sx's as everybody else. There are NOT mild. I stopped it before I even got to the 1.8 dose. Not reasonable. My body said hell no."

For Type 2 Diabetes "This review is based on my dad’s experience with Victoza. Definitely a drug that takes adjusting to. My dad’s A1C was at a level where we feared for his life, levels around 15-19, and he would not tell us, but I knew he was not doing well and took him to a specialist. The doctor suggested Victoza, and we started adjusting it as directed. By the time he got to 1.8, the symptoms were unbearable: sick, nausea, no appetite. We decided to bring it down to 1.2. He was still feeling slight discomfort, and I told him to take it right before bed. This change has made his quality of life 100% better! He’s so happy and feeling better than he has in years! He’s only been on it for 2 months, and A1C is down around 6-7. We are afraid of the long-term side effects and will ask the doctor since this drug is supposed to help your body promote insulin. First, can he lower it even more, and how long is he expected to be on this drug? So far, great experience, but we are proceeding with caution and testing regularly."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started using Saxenda about a month ago - doing the increments in doses to this week at 2.4, so not quite 3 yet. First few weeks, no side effects, yay! Then last Thursday, feeling nausea with extreme (double you over) pain, so left work & hardly made it home & explosive diarrhea - left me drained, nauseous & sick the whole next day. Every day since then, extreme nausea & ill feeling coming in waves. Started at 259 lbs - down to 253. The ill feeling just won't go away. I think I might stop for a few days & see how I feel. I tried every diet, HCG too & now these awful side effects. So disappointed."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "On week 3, I lost about one stone. Took about a week to get used to it. During week one, I felt sickly, had some lightheadedness, constipation, but it passed after about a week. Now on a 1.8 dose, and all is well. My appetite has decreased massively, and sometimes I have to remember to eat. I won't deny the first week was a little ropey, but my advice would be to stick with it as it does improve. For me, this is a wonder drug! I have battled all my life with weight, and this has had such a positive impact on my mental health and my overall well-being. Amazing!"
