For Emergency Contraception "Plan B served its purpose and worked for me when I had sex with no protection during my fertile window. However, the lack of information regarding the side effects is really concerning. In many credible websites, it is stated that the side effects last at maximum one week. Well, that certainly wasn't the case for me, and as I can assume by reading the reviews here, not the case for many people. After the first few days of taking the pill, I experienced no side effects. Only after 4/5 days of taking it, I started experiencing spotting, similar to my regular period, but that only lasted for about 3 days. After that, I experienced severe headaches, nausea, and really drastic mood swings for the rest of the month. It's an incredible high dosage of hormones, and it can mess up with your body and make you go through a pretty tough time for way longer than one week. I got my period exactly one week late from when I expected, so I can't really complain in that regard because it does work."

For Emergency Contraception "Really just on here searching for anyone who's had an experience like me because I’m beginning to get worried. My boyfriend and I had our accident on Sept. 21st, but were able to get Plan B within 30 minutes. The next night I began spotting, which I heard was normal, but it’s now October 10th and I’ve been spotting/bleeding nonstop. Last week there were 3 days where I had noticeably brighter blood (as in it was really red like period blood would be), but then it just went back to this brownish blood. It hasn’t stopped one day, and it’s hard for me to tell if this is/was my period or if something is just wrong."

For Emergency Contraception "So I took Plan B on the 14th of November, then had unprotected sex the next day and did not take another pill. I figured what's the point? The first pill is going to delay ovulation anyway, so 5 days later I started spotting and then it went away after 3 days. I also noticed that my boobs grew bigger (cool). I started having watery discharge that made my underwear wet, making it look like I peed on myself. 3 weeks after taking the pill, my left ovary started hurting, I was bloating and gassy, and my appetite for food increased. I thought the pill did not work since I didn't take it the second time. I took a pregnancy test, it was negative. Then, on 15 December, I got my period approximately a month after I had taken the pills. Plan B definitely works!!!!"

For Emergency Contraception "We were having sex and the condom broke, so we went to go get Plan B within 30 minutes after. I had some spotting a week later, and my period started 2 weeks early. My mood swings were bad, and I was bloated for about a month, but I took a pregnancy test, and it came out negative, so I’m not complaining—DON'T STRESS, IT’LL BE OKAY."

For Emergency Contraception "First off, don’t panic! It works. I know it’s easier said than done because if you found this page, that means you’ve found Google and have already been going a little crazy but trust me, it works. I’m a 20F w/ irregular periods for some background. My boyfriend and I had sex on the 25th of May (2 am) and I had just finished my period a week prior and was in my fertile window. First time and no protection. He pulled out before he came, but I wasn’t too sure as I didn’t see it. I panicked! That same day I got Plan B around 6 pm as I had to travel and couldn’t get it right after (about 15 hours later). Initially, I went to bed fine and the next day (May 26th) I found myself extremely nauseous. About 2 days later I was spotting and pretty moody, then on the 31st I noticed I was cramping. Now it’s the 1st and my period arrived 2 weeks early. It works love! You got this. Don’t forget to pray. You’re okay!!"

For Emergency Contraception "I had unprotected sex the last day of my ovulation window. My partner completely finished inside of me, and I took Plan B within an hour of having sex. I freaked out because I read reviews saying that the pill doesn’t work if you ovulated already. Two days after taking the pill, I had fatigue, major nausea, and lots of anxiety. Nine days after taking the pill, I started getting sharp pains on and off in my pelvic area. Two days later, I started getting brown/pinkish discharge. A day before my expected period, I began spotting. I officially got my period one day later than the expected period day! This pill worked for me. The pill gives you similar symptoms to pregnancy and made my anxiety levels a lot higher. Be patient and good luck!!!"

For Emergency Contraception "I swore that I would come back to this website the day I got my period because it kept me sane. I had sex 4 days before ovulation day (my fertile window) and took Plan B 40 hours after. I am not on birth control. He pulled out, but still, I was PETRIFIED. I cried for 2 weeks. On day 10 after taking it, I started spotting just like what implantation bleeding looks like. I talked to every person that I could looking for answers and advice, but I still had to wait it out for the period. The spotting happened for 4 days straight, where it then turned into a period. My period definitely is 10x worse! But worth it because I’m not pregnant. My advice, ladies, don’t look on Google because it will tell you you are pregnant! Trust the pill and get on birth control if you can."

For Emergency Contraception "My boyfriend and I had sex December 10th, and we weren’t sure if he finished in me or not, so we took a Plan B that same night to be safe. I was supposed to get my period on the 24th (according to my app), so it's only a few days past that, and I had taken the pill before, so I knew it worked. Last night (Dec 26th), I had spotting, and I was really freaking out that it was implantation bleeding, which was a NO GO because, for those of you who don’t know, it is the bleeding before pregnancy. I was up all night freaking out, thinking I was pregnant, but little did I know I was bleeding a lot. I put a regular tampon in to stop the spotting from getting through, but it wasn’t enough. I bled through, and I found clots in the blood, which meant that it was my actual period because implantation bleeding doesn’t have clots in it. All in all, trust it. If you’ve taken it within a good time frame, then you’re okay... just trust it. There may be symptoms, it’ll be okay!"

For Emergency Contraception "The first thing I want to say is, “DON’T STRESS, it’s not worth it, and DO NOT GOOGLE symptoms” is the worst thing I did. This is my second time taking Plan B, and it worked. I was ovulating the day I took the pill (18 hours later) after having unprotected sex. My period came 2 weeks later. I was having brown spotting for 5 days straight before my period came. The symptoms I had were lower back pain, headaches, frequent urination, anxiety, little fatigue, and brown spotting. I was so stressed out that I decided to take a pregnancy test, and it came out negative. The Plan B pill is very strong, that’s why it works. Next time, we (including myself) have to use protection to prevent going through this because it’s really not worth it unless an accident (condom break, etc.) happens. I wanted to share this because I had the worst 2 weeks of my life thinking I was pregnant, but I want to let you all know that you are going to be fine."

For Emergency Contraception "Plan B did what it was supposed to do. Had unprotected sex a day before ovulation (assuming ovulating day due to my period app) by accident. 11 hours later, I went to Walgreens, purchased Plan B. 2 weeks later, I got my period only 1 day late. However, 1 week after Plan B was taken, I started spotting lightly until the actual day of my period. So everything went great, as far as taking this on or before ovulation day."

For Emergency Contraception "I took Plan B about a month and a half ago after a condom slipping off. We rushed to a 24-hour pharmacy a few towns over. I took it about an hour after it happened. I had nausea and fatigue the following day, and I started spotting for about 5 days the following week. I spent the past month and a half convincing myself I was pregnant, I seemed to have almost all the early symptoms. I stalked this website and promised myself to write a review either way. I took a test today because I did not get my period when it was due (4 days ago), and it was negative. Ladies, don't do what I did. Don't look up every single symptom you may be experiencing. Don't look up Plan B failure stories. It's not 100%, but torturing yourself will only make it worse."

For Emergency Contraception "I started taking a combination birth control pill and was dumb and had unprotected sex on the 6th day, when it is said not to be fully effective until the 7th. I got scared and ran off to buy Plan B. I kept taking my birth control as normal and had little to no side effects from it. 11 days later, I had very light spotting and a lot of clear mucus. I started to think it didn't work and that it was implantation bleeding... Nope! A couple of days of that and on the 13th day I got my period. Cramping a little more than usual, but that's probably to be expected. I'm not sure where I was during my cycle when I took it, but I think I was on one of the last ovulating days. I weigh 145 lbs and this product worked for me. If you have spotting a few days after like I did, take a deep breath. It is a side effect of taking Plan B. This product worked for me. Was it worth $55? No. It should be more around $30-$40. Good luck, ladies!"

For Emergency Contraception "Had sex on May 6th, the day after my period ended. Took Plan B after 32 hours, had spotting for 2 days. After that, I had milky/watery discharge for a month (!!!!) every single day. Every week, I took pregnancy tests, they all were negative. Only on June 11th, FINALLY I had my period. Ironically, on June 10th, I bought 2 pregnancy tests. I was pretty sure I was pregnant because I had all the symptoms which signify pregnancy, or maybe I was just so stressed out that in every unusual little thing I saw pregnancy. I know it's hard as f***, but please be patient, and everything is going to be OK!!!!"

For Emergency Contraception "So I had unprotected sex a few days after my period. My boyfriend wasn't sure if he came a little inside me, so I took the Plan B a few hours after! Then, a few days after, I started spotting for like 3-4 days, brown blood. I was freaking out because I have taken Plan B before and never spotted! So I was waiting for my period, and it never came after that! I took 4 pregnancy tests, which all were negative, as I was paranoid I was pregnant since I've never missed a period! I was late by 4 weeks from my expected date of period. Reading all these comments, I started freaking out even more. Well, I just got my period finally! So try to stay calm and use condoms! My cycle and hormones are imbalanced now!"

I was supposed to get it on 10/26, but I didn’t get it until today, 11/13, a huge relief when it came! Plan B worked for me!"

For Emergency Contraception "The pill does work. I had sex April 10th and took the generic brand called Take Action 2 hours after sex. My period was due 4/30, but today is 4/27 and I have my period. Symptoms I had were fatigue, spotting between periods, diarrhea, and lower abdominal pain. But now I got my period and don't want to take this pill again, so I'm staying away from sex. Thank you, there is a pill like this out in the world!"

For Emergency Contraception "This is my 4th time taking this pill. Have not gotten pregnant yet. My husband usually buys it 3-5 hours after having sex. I did not get my regular period... But I did get brown spotting a week or two later. 2-4 weeks later, my regular period came on. $60 might seem like a lot, but it beats paying for a million dollar baby :) It's worth the money."

For Emergency Contraception "It works!!! Took Plan B on day 9/10 of my cycle. Got spotting for 3 days about a week later! 100% normal. If you take it before ovulation, it sheds the uterine lining! Had cramps/moody/LOTS of anxiety for a month. Wasted money on a pregnancy test! Then, 32 days later, I got my period late. A day late! It works! Just trust & pray!"

For Emergency Contraception "I was also here reading about people’s experiences, and I panicked. I took the pill on the day of ovulation, just 6 or 7 hours after the incident. My period was due in two weeks, and I couldn’t stop thinking if it would show up or not. I decided to shift my focus because stressing could only delay my period further. I almost forgot I was worried about it for a couple of days. The only side effects I suffered from the pill were sensitive breasts and nipples. One day before my expected period date, I experienced cramping and a little spotting. Today is the day of the expected period date, and my normal period is here, normal period, red blood with clots! You should also note the difference in your flow. If it’s not your usual color and flow, I suggest you get a pregnancy test or ask your doctor. Otherwise, please do not hesitate to take Plan B while ovulating! Take it ASAP and continue with your life."

For Emergency Contraception "I promised that I would share my experience on here if Plan B worked for me! My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex on October 23 (about 4 days after my period had ended) and ended up going to buy Plan B about 24 hours later. I am on birth control pills, but I forgot at the time that I had started my new pill pack late. I took Plan B 24 hours after sex and had no side effects at first. About 2 weeks later, I started to feel pretty nauseous, and my breasts were SUPER sore. I also spotted dark brown. I was freaking out because these are both big side effects of pregnancy, but after a very impatient wait, I finally got my period 3 days early :) Don't stress out! Your period will come if you just be patient :) Don't stress yourself out a ton like I did!"

For Emergency Contraception "I normally get my period every 2 or 3 months. June 15th, I started my period, ended on the 19th. To make a long story short, on June 20th, I had gotten with someone at around 2 am. Alcohol was involved, and we weren't completely sure if anything had gone inside. So, I took Plan B the next day at around 8 pm, about 18 hours after. A week later, I bled for about 2 days, but it was some light spotting. After hours of Googling pregnancy symptoms, I had read about implantation bleeding and was so worried. DON'T READ INTO THINGS ONLINE, it just makes it worse. Since I was used to getting late periods, I figured I would get it late in August. Fast forward to August when I was expecting my period, and it didn't come! September 18th, my period is here! I was too chicken to take another pregnancy test (took one about 2 weeks after the Plan B, it was negative). I read through tons of these reviews, and the medicine is made for a reason. Don't stress out, don't binge read, everything will work itself out. You got it, girls!!!"

For Emergency Contraception "I’m here to share my experience since this page helped calm me down. So my boyfriend and I had protected sex on February 12, 3 days before ovulation. After we were done, I noticed the condom had come off in me, and he had already finished in me without realizing. I went to CVS 2 hours later and picked up a Plan B after freaking out. I had no symptoms the day of and the next day, 6 days later, I had light brown spotting for 2 days and I freaked out thinking it was implantation bleeding. I started having sore breasts 1 week after taking the pill and even had hot flashes one day and felt very fatigued for 2 weeks. All I would do is sleep. Then I started spotting brown again the few days before my expected period and had no idea if that was normal. Here I am typing this after waking up with my period, 1 day before my expected period date and 2 and a half weeks after taking the pill. Overall, I got lucky and didn’t have any crazy symptoms. Girls, don’t stress, this works, I promise! Good luck!"

For Emergency Contraception "My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex for the first 5 minutes of sex, and I knew he had some pre-cum. I also knew there was a chance of getting pregnant with that pre-cum. About an hour later, I took Plan B. Five days later, I experienced spotting for about 2 days (similar to implantation bleeding) and I was freaked. I waited it out until my expected period date, and nothing came. A few days after my expected period date, I experienced thick white discharge in large amounts, and I was so confused. I ended up taking 4 tests (all of them negative) and googling a ton. (DO NOT GOOGLE.) A full two weeks past my expected period date, my period arrived. Trust, trust, trust. Abstinence is key. Good luck, ladies!!!❤️"

For Emergency Contraception "On July 1st, I took Plan B One-Step 44 hours after sex where a condom failed. I took the pill 5 days before the expected period. I had no spotting or major symptoms, was just a little tired after I took it. My period was supposed to start on July 6th, and it was 10 days late and started on the 16th. I've never been happier to see my period! My cramps were awful, but I am sure thankful for this pill. Don't be scared if your period is over a week late. I stressed so bad and had every right to, but it can definitely be later than that. Just give it time and take a test if you're scared!"

For Emergency Contraception "I said I would share my story if the pill worked, which it did!! Thank goodness. So here I am to give you my experience using Plan B. My boyfriend and I got caught up and ended up having unprotected sex. Afterwards, I was stressing out because I checked my period app, and I was so close to ovulating. So we got Plan B to be safe. I felt fine after taking it, I experienced spotting a week later, and after that, I had horrible cramps, back pain, and I was nauseous and felt like I wanted to vomit. I was so scared that I was pregnant. I missed my period and took a pregnancy test. I have NEVER missed a period, so I was freaking out and super stressed. The test came up negative. And 6 days after I was supposed to get my period, I finally got it!! I have never been so happy to see blood. This pill works, but it’s only for emergency use. I felt sick A LOT, so I’d prefer not to use this pill, but it indeed works!"
