For Emergency Contraception "I had a condom break on June 30 and quickly took Plan B within 2 hours of the accident. I was freaking out because I read that it doesn't work after ovulation, and my last period was on June 10, and I am pretty sure I had already ovulated. On July 9, I took a pregnancy test because my period was a couple of days late, and it was negative, and finally today, July 11, I got my period this morning. So yes, this does work even post-ovulation. Some side effects I had were nausea, period-like cramping, lots of white discharge, sore breasts, delayed period, and fatigue. And now, heavy, heavy, HEAVY period. Worth the side effects though."

For Emergency Contraception "So I ended my period 03/17 and had unprotected sex the next day (03/18), and my boyfriend came inside me, so less than an hour later we went and got the pill. After taking the pill, I did experience some of the side effects: I was having bad headaches, fatigue, light-headedness, bladder problems, spotting, and bleeding a little. I was convinced I was pregnant because my period was also late, and I had spotting on my underwear instead of getting my period, and I knew that was a sign I was pregnant. But there was no way because I had all these side effects, and I took the pill as soon as possible. But I kept being paranoid about it. A week later, I got my period, and I've never been so happy to be on it. So ladies, don't worry, just wait, and be safe next time."

For Emergency Contraception "I want to share my experience to possibly ease some of the ladies out there. The incident occurred on Nov 18 (the condom broke), and it was 4 days after my period ended and approximately 4 days before ovulation. This means I was fertile. When we noticed that the condom broke, we immediately bought Plan B One-Step and it was taken about 45 minutes to an hour later. The sooner you take it, the greater the chances it will work. So I waited anxiously, praying I get my period. I felt side effects such as fatigue, bloating, nausea, cramps, and moodiness. I was worried that these might be pregnancy symptoms. I waited exactly two weeks and I got my period. I was the happiest person ever. My period was here early by approximately 3-4 days. Good luck."

For Emergency Contraception "My story is the same as most of yours; broken condom. This is my second time taking the pill, and I feel like the second time around I had a really adverse reaction. I have the most awful stomach pain, headaches, diarrhea (eww), dizziness, breast tenderness, fatigue... Everything that could go wrong went wrong. I got the wrong end of the stick this time, I guess. The symptoms are making me nervous, but reading all the positive comments on here makes me feel better!"

For Emergency Contraception "I am 22 and not on birth control currently for neurological reasons. A day or two after my period ended (Sunday, Oct 18), I had sex with a condom. The condom broke, and we did not notice until we were finished. We went and got the pill, and I took it within an hour of the unprotected sex. The next day, I was mildly fatigued and had some mild cramping for a few days, but no side effects other than that. Exactly one week later, October 25th, I began bleeding. This is considered withdrawal bleeding from the pill. Exactly four weeks after the withdrawal bleeding began, I got my period! I suggest taking a pregnancy test any time you worry about it, but know your period can be late from its normal time because of the pill. It works!"

For Emergency Contraception "So this was my 2nd time taking Plan B. The first time I had just about every symptom: sweats, vomiting, nausea, fatigue, fever, sore breasts, but it worked. This 2nd time I had absolutely none, which worried me and had me testing about every 2 weeks. Had unprotected sex on Aug 27th, but he pulled out. Still being paranoid, I took a Plan B 6 hours later. But I am way over the weight limit. That August I had already not had a period (because I'm also irregular), but 2 weeks later I very lightly spotted for 3 days and thought it was implantation bleeding. And I freaked, started googling, and stayed reading these reviews. Never got my period in September. 4 days ago, I started spotting and now slowly but surely got my period. Relax ladies, take care of yourselves. Much love. ❤️"

For Emergency Contraception "If there is any advice you can take from the internet right now, it's to calm down, ladies!! I promised I'd write a review here to settle nervous tummies on my experience since I was you at one point. I had unprotected sex on day 5 (yes, on my period) of my normal 28-day cycle at approximately 9 am. I am grateful Plan B was available behind the counter at the pharmacy, and I purchased it less than an hour after the oopsie. Here started the waiting game and bizarre side effects such as nausea and fatigue for almost two months. I was 2 weeks late. Also, if this helps, I am 50 pounds past the weight capacity (165 lbs) and it worked!!! :) Good luck, ladies :) you have nothing to worry about. It works!!"

For Emergency Contraception "I took the morning-after pill because the day I was having sex was the day I was due for ovulation. My boyfriend and I had sex, however, the condom slipped off, so to be safe, I decided to take the morning-after pill roughly 3 hours later. About 3 hours after taking the pill, I had clear discharge, which I assume was ovulation discharge, which freaked me out. After that, however, I didn't have any other symptoms until a week later. I had nausea, nipple stings/boob pain, and fatigue, which was all caused by the pill. I then got my period 2 days before my due date! So relieved for everyone going through the anxiety, just relax and listen to your body!"

For Emergency Contraception "I'm writing this because I haven't seen many reviews after the first cycle. My fiancé and I had sex the day I ovulated, and the condom slipped off without us knowing until it was too late. I waited about 24 hours because I didn't want the side effects to ruin the weekend, and it says you have up to 72 hours to take it. (Although the sooner the better, it says.) I took it at night with food and didn't have any side effects until about 4 days later. I had about 2 weeks of bad PMS symptoms and fatigue, then I got a very heavy period. I am also over the weight limit at 175. About 23 days after that period started, I started spotting brown blood and have been doing that for almost a week, and now the flow is heavier like a real period. It works."

For Emergency Contraception "The second I got my period, I knew I would write a review since they helped me so much! New relationship, got carried away, and he orgasmed completely inside of me 3 days after my period (08/03). Knew I probably wasn't very fertile, but sperm sticks around, so I took Plan B 10 hours later (08/04). Had 4 days of fatigue after taking and then a week of backaches and cramping. I thought I'd get some spotting or bleeding in general, but nothing happened, no breast pain. Thought something would happen after two weeks, but nothing. Finally, after a month, I got my period! (08/28) So in retrospect, I had a normal cycle with a lot more added anxiety. You will be okay! ❤️"

For Emergency Contraception "Take a deep breath. I was so skeptical about this pill, but it works! I had unprotected sex with my ex-boyfriend a week before my period was due. He didn't ejaculate in me, but the internet has scared me about the possibility of a precum pregnancy. He bought me the Plan B pill the next morning, and I took it 6 hours after sex. Unfortunately, I experienced a lot of symptoms for almost 2 weeks: cramps, bloating, fatigue, depression, and major anxiety. I drove myself out of my mind with worry. My period was 6 days late (almost 2 weeks after taking the pill) when I woke up with nausea. I thought for sure it was morning sickness until I went to the bathroom and saw that my period had started! Now bleeding heavily, but I'm so thankful!"

For Emergency Contraception "Let me just tell you, to those reading these reviews, it's not worth the stress. To sum it up, my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex on February 15, but he pulled out, and since I forgot about precum (he claims he doesn't have any), I needed to take the precaution of taking Plan B. He bought the pill, and I took it approximately 22 hours after. I had little to no symptoms, the first day, I had little fatigue, and my appetite increased. After so much research, it turns out, if you're that 5% of which it doesn't work on, it's either because you took it too late or have already taken it before, so your body is regulating the pill (that's from what I read). I'm a senior in high school and have a lot of plans for my future. My period came today, so being a mother is not on the list!!!"

For Emergency Contraception "Had sex on June 8, took Plan B on June 10. The wait was excruciating. I had all the symptoms it could throw at me (nausea, bloating, cramping, fatigue, constipation, and heartburn, etc.) except for tender breasts. I got my period on July 14, and it lasted a good 5-day cycle. I'm so glad I got it, but I still feel sick. Idk if it's because my body is not used to it, but my stomach just feels all messed up...probably due to the hormones, but has anyone else gone through this?"

For Emergency Contraception "Okay, so I’m really not sure what’s going on with my body. Here’s what’s up: This was my first time having sex, and we didn’t use a condom, and he didn’t finish inside of me. But I was scared of precum. So I got Plan B and took it about 5 hours after sex. I had lots of cramps and fatigue, nausea, headaches. It was so bad. Then I started spotting lightly 17 days before my next period, and it got heavier and heavier, enough to fill a pad and tampon. I assumed this was my period? But it’s been 4 weeks since then, and I haven’t gotten another period. But I’ve been bloated and have light cramping. Could I be pregnant even if I was SO sure that I had gotten my period?"

For Emergency Contraception "Well, like many here, I sat here and went through all these reviews at least twice, probably more. September 8 was the start of my period, then on the 18, I committed the act with the bf. Chance of pregnancy definitely minor, but I was paranoid, so he purchased Plan B One-Step. For approximately 15 days, I had light cramps, and I do believe I also acquired a UTI. I was also fatigued, had a headache here and there, and also had diarrhea, tender breasts. And on the 15th day today, Mother Nature graced me with Aunt Flow. I am also way over the weight, by at least 10-15 lbs over, actually, so the weight limit, don't even worry about it. But when your period comes, prepare yourself for some cramps."

For Emergency Contraception "Picked up Plan B at Planned Parenthood for $35. Took the first pill at noon the day after the 'mishap,' the second one before bed, a little sooner than the recommended 12 hours had passed. Only side effect was fatigue the next day. Started my period a week early, but I guess that means it worked. Much better than getting pregnant!"

For Emergency Contraception "The incident happened 5 days ago. I was really nervous and paranoid of what to expect since it was my first time. 13 hours later, I took the pill and took a nap. I woke up with tender breasts, sharp abdominal cramps, body aches all over, fatigue, and I was nauseated. This lasted for 2 days, but it was a week of emotions and mood swings. Nothing that I could not handle, though. I was not due for another week, however, I woke up with my period today. I was very relieved, and I'm thankful to take immediate action. I would not recommend taking it all over again, but in inevitable situations, this really helped."

For Emergency Contraception "The deets: I took Plan B One-Step (not generic) on 7/9/2016. Boyfriend and I had sex the last day of my period and realized after we finished that the condom broke. Even though the chance of conceiving during that time in my cycle was low, I still wanted to take action, so I bought Plan B One-Step within an hour or two. My 'period' then turned to spotting for 5 days with some light cramping, serious mood swings, VERY sore tata's, and the fatigue was extreme. The spotting ended, but the other symptoms stuck around for 2 more weeks. Thought I was pregnant because of it, but when I could test, I did, and it was negative. My period was 5 days late, and I took a test a couple of days before it arrived to get a 'Negative' result. THANK YOU, PLAN B!"

For Emergency Contraception "This pill literally leaves you terrified of having sex again, lol. I took this pill shortly after my husband and I had protected sex, not knowing the condom broke. I had taken this pill before and never had withdrawal bleeding, but this time I did. I wasn't ovulating because I had just finished my period one day before the incident, and the app on my phone that I track my regular menstrual period also noted I had a 5-day window from the day it happened. Well, fast forward, the bleeding lasted about 5 days. A week after that, I started getting all pregnancy symptoms: sore breasts, nausea, fatigue. You name it, I had it. I even got mad at my husband for buying cheap condoms (my opinion, as my moods were changing!). I kept thinking I was pregnant. A month later, I started spotting with brown bloody discharge. Slowly but surely, I got my period. Amen. I have 3 kids already, and I'm not ready for another. The pill works, it's just our anxiety and fears getting the best of us!"

For Emergency Contraception "I told myself that if Plan B worked, I would write a comment on here, and it WORKED! The month before, I was on birth control, but my prescription was late, so I was not taking it for a few weeks afterwards. I was having sex during these few weeks, and the condom broke after the guy had finished inside of me. I took Plan B within the next hour and experienced a plethora of side effects (nausea, dizziness, fatigue) for 4 days. Then my prescription came, and I began taking the pills normally once again about a week after taking Plan B. Because of this, I had to wait 3 weeks to get my period. I should also mention that the day I had sex was directly after (a day or two) I had calculated my ovulation, but I did not know if just getting off of the pill would push my ovulation back or make it irregular. When I was taking the placebos, I got my period! Plan B will work! I thought I'd share my unique situation with my birth control and Plan B if anyone is in a similar situation."

For Emergency Contraception "Works perfectly. I actually read reviews about Plan B from this website before I purchased. I took it a couple of days after sexual intercourse and got my period the following week. I'm 19, if that helps, and I have an extremely irregular period. I had side effects like fatigue and lower back pain, and my stomach felt strange and different, but nothing too severe. All is well now. If you're thinking about buying it, think no more. $50 is nothing compared to a kid, in my opinion. Lol. I recommend it 100%."

For Emergency Contraception "My boyfriend and I were having protected sex, the condom ripped, and I sent him to the drugstore after a minor freak out because we are nowhere near ready for children. I am on birth control but missed my pill that day, so I took Plan B just in case. I took it within 2 hours post unprotected sex. The side effects I experienced were cravings, discharge, fatigue, cramps, and mood swings. I looked at reviews for hours and hours and was confused because the side effects for periods and early pregnancy are very similar, which was scary to read while so stressed. The wait for your period is the most killer part of all, mine came 3 days late, but it's here! Trust me, ladies, you will be fine."

For Emergency Contraception "Had unprotected sex during my most fertile time, and I know for a fact it was around the time I was ovulating. My periods have always been regular, and I can tell by my symptoms, and I keep track on my fertility app. So since I am not on birth control, I took Plan B the next day, about 14 hours after sex. Didn't experience too bad of symptoms, just my usual PMS symptoms. My boobs were pretty sore and swollen, slight nausea, and mood swings. The biggest side effect I got was fatigue. Also, this pill made my cervical mucus thicker. I had no spotting. These symptoms lasted for the full 2 weeks until my period came, which came on time, just 1 day early. My period was a lot heavier than usual and had pretty bad cramping, but this pill worked!"

For Emergency Contraception "Relax. Take a breath. Stop reading internet Plan B studies. Here’s the thing. You’re either going to find über positive ratings or ultra-negative ones. The rank-and-file “it worked” couples will not post anything, and they are legion. Bottom line: take it ASAP and stop stressing. If Plan B didn’t work, it wouldn’t be on the market. You’ll be fine. Period: March 7-8th Unprotected sex: March 15th (took Plan B an hour later). Symptoms included general abdominal cramps, breast tenderness, mild nausea, fatigue. Period started: March 18th. Anticipated ovulation date: March 21st. Finally, stop letting your mind wander. Again... get it ASAP and stop stressing. It will work."

For Emergency Contraception "I took Plan B within 6 hours of having unprotected sex. Long story short, it worked. Long story long... I have had regular periods for as long as I can remember. I've had 26 days on my cycle and am a day late at the most (I keep track with the Period Tracker on my iPhone for over two years). Well, my period did not come on day 26... or 27... or 28... But on day 31, so my period was 4 days late, which may not seem crazy, but for someone who is always on time, it was pretty scary. So I read a lot of reviews where girls get their periods early, so I wanted to comfort those who are late after taking Plan B. Side effects after the 1st pill: fatigue, after the second pill 12 hours later: no side effects."
