For Emergency Contraception "Wanted to share a helpful review about Plan B as it worked for me. Had sex and he pulled out, but it was exactly the day before I was supposed to ovulate (yes, I know I should have been more careful, and I didn't know he took the condom off). The next morning, I got the pill and took it as I didn't trust if he pulled out in time. It was about 10-12 hours later. Felt fine for 4 days, then started getting really bloated and having cramps like period cramps. I also got super moody, and I’m not a moody person at all usually. Those symptoms lasted about 10 days, which was highly annoying and concerning to me since I didn't know if they were side effects or symptoms of pregnancy. Anyway, 13 days after taking the pill, I got my period! Which was about 2 days early, and I’m usually pretty regular. It seemed like a pretty normal period. So overall, yes, this worked. I made myself crazy reading about how it might not work, but reviews that said it worked helped me, so hopefully this one helps you!"

For Emergency Contraception "I hate this pill due to all the horrible side effects I experienced. I had unprotected sex with my husband when we got married on May 28th. My period happened the week prior to us having sex. I took the pill a few hours after we had sex. Everything was fine up until two weeks after I consumed the pill. I was feeling sore, tender breasts that I couldn't even wear a bra since it hurt so much, horrible cramps, I was bloated like a cow, I had to take organic teas to help me, horrible headaches, mood swings, dizziness, and nausea. I had no period for the month of June and I started to worry. Today is July 11th and I just started my period! Praise the Lord! Pill works, horrible side effects. Six-week late period."

For Emergency Contraception "I wanted to come here and give my insight and story. This has worked 2 times for me. Hopefully, it can calm or help how you or someone you know deals with the stress and anxiety that this brings!! The man I'm dating ejaculated in me, and I believe it was right after ovulation. We immediately took action, and I took Plan B within the hour. The pill made me tired, with mood swings, anxiety, cramps, acne, discharge, and bloating. The pharmacist said these are common symptoms. I cramped pretty bad, 5 days later, I spotted, then on the 6th day, I started my period! As long as you take it within the 3-day window, you should be fine. Plan B is a true lifesaver! Thank you so much, Plan B, you have saved my life! Take a deep breath and try to be calm."

For Emergency Contraception "Listen, I had sex on 01/08/16, and the condom came off when he withdrew. It was everywhere. I took Plan B about 13 hours later. I got every side effect ever: nausea, bloating, VERY TIRED, headache, lower back pain, and cramps!!! Lots of cramps!!! I will not tell you to relax because I couldn't relax AT ALL for two weeks. I had no sign of a period at all for over a week and a half. I woke up every day freaking out! Yesterday, I got spotting, and then my mind raced, and I googled everything! Today, AF came, 12 days after Plan B and 1 week late on my period. It absolutely messes with your hormones, and you will be hypersensitive to every side effect you get, and I KNOW you will think you're pregnant as soon as you feel a sign, but it is the hormones."

For Emergency Contraception "I'm 18 years old. My boyfriend and I had protected sex, but the condom broke, and I woke up the next morning feeling sick, so I had him go buy me this pill. Needless to say, it worked, and I'm not pregnant. However, the side effects are insane. I immediately had terrible back pain (never had that before), cramps that felt like period cramps, nausea, dizziness, headaches, and bloating. I had to miss a day of school due to the insane amount of side effects. Not to mention, my period came a week after taking the pill when I wasn't supposed to get my period for 2 more weeks! That's frustrating because I just had my period last week, and now I have it again, even heavier this time. But on a positive note, I'm not pregnant!!"

For Emergency Contraception "I told myself to write a review if it worked or not. I took Plan B over a month ago, a day later from my experience, which I know was better late than never. I had horrible side effects, though, for the next 3-5 weeks. I bled for 3 days a week after taking it, then had cramps, headaches, and weird bloating. I was super anxious that it had failed, and I went on here to read the reviews to help me stress less. Well, I finally got my period, and it’s super bad but 17 days late. Stress will delay your period further, and I know it’s hard not to worry about it. I will never do this again, it’s not worth the stress, but at least I know I’m okay now."

For Emergency Contraception "I just wanted to come on here and share my experience because Plan B messed with my body so much and truly convinced me I was pregnant. So my last period was March 22, and I had unprotected sex a week later. I took the Plan B 2 hours later, 6 days after that I had unprotected sex again and I took ANOTHER Plan B 2 hours later. This was the 5th time I took Plan B in my life and I had been relying on it too much, so for the rest of the month, I was panicked. I experienced spotting a few days after due to Plan B. I ended up missing my period completely! My cycle ended up being 69 days long. From that time, I also experienced brown discharge the week of my expected period, but it never showed up (I thought it was implantation bleeding). AF showed up yesterday and I couldn’t be happier, I truly thought I was pregnant because I was having tons of clear stretchy discharge and was extremely bloated. Plan B will delay your period by more than a month sometimes, so do not worry."

For Emergency Contraception "About a month ago, my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex. We are only 19 and not ready to be parents, so I did some research and found Plan B as an option. Still, I was scared because it was only our first time... I bought it that same day, and about 5 hours later I took it. I really thought it wasn't going to work, and about a week later I started feeling like crap. I started spotting, I felt bloated along with being gassy, breast tenderness, cramps, headaches, and nausea. I was freaking out when I saw all of those were signs of pregnancy. I was so stressed, but then my period came. So DO NOT STRESS or look up anything to freak you out! It's not worth all of it... let God do His job and you'll be fine."

For Emergency Contraception "Here's my story for all those women who are scared and took Plan B during ovulation. I had unprotected sex (I know, dumb) and he came in me a little bit. I bought Plan B 45 minutes later. A week goes by, and I don't get a period or bleeding like I usually do from taking Plan B. I took Plan B during my day of ovulation. There isn't much information about taking Plan B during ovulation other than it's a waste of money and many women become pregnant. So, I begin getting very nervous. The next week, I start getting these crampings that last 5-10 minutes that come and go, lots of discharge, and bloating. Scared, I take a pregnancy test. It comes out: negative. Then today, out of nowhere, I get my period. It came 3 days early! THIS PILL WORKS!"

For Emergency Contraception "So I told myself I wouldn't say jack until the stuff worked, lol. I was scared, I saw reviews that should calm me, but I was still scared. Probably because mine was quite different. March 4th and 5th, I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend at least 5 times. He did not cum inside me, but we never can tell. I used the post pill on the 5th. That was when it hit me, a few hours later, that I was ovulating. NO!! I started searching online, and I saw where 'pills don't work during ovulation.' Everything went blank, lmao. I'd say don't even try researching and buying lots of PT tests, but some of us can't help it, even though the truth is right on our faces, lol. So for the benefit of doubts, you can try. But I wouldn't advise it, it's a waste of money. The pills work 100%. I saw some spotting 2 days after I used the pill. Some people here said 5 days mostly. Mine was Day 2. Everything was happening to me: nausea, bloating, hardened nipples, and I was so miserable, lol. Got my period on March 21. So relax, girl! Kisses."

For Emergency Contraception "DO NOT WORRY!!!! I WAS SO SCARED THIS WAS NOT GOING TO WORK BECAUSE THE CONDOM BROKE THE DAY BEFORE MY OVULATION DAY!! I track my period through the Flo app, and given that the condom ripped and he ejaculated when it was a day before my set ovulation day, my boyfriend and I were both scared it wouldn’t work (being 18, I’m nowhere ready to have a kid). I took the Plan B about 2 hours after the incident. I felt no symptoms when I took it, but about a week later I noticed I was a little bloated, was more emotional, fatigue, and I was EXTREMELY nauseated. I know people say these symptoms only happen 24 hours after you take the pill, but that’s NOT true. Read almost all the other experiences with this pill, and it’s true it DOES work and YOU will be OKAY!! It costs 50 dollars for a reason, and don’t stress yourself out about it because that can cause even more delay in your period besides the pill itself! YOU’LL BE ALRIGHT!❤️"

For Emergency Contraception "I've taken Plan B twice. The first time I felt no side effects. Got my period a week earlier than usual but was very happy to have gotten it early. I didn't stress myself out about the situation, and I think that's why nothing outrageous happened. The second time I took it, I was much more stressed out. My period came five days late, and it was a rough period. I had really bad cramps, bloating, and acne, but surprisingly light bleeding."

For Emergency Contraception "I feel that there is a lack of information. Between the fight between drug companies and the Catholic Church, with very partisan takes on Plan B, somewhere in it we don't hear women's true experiences of the drug. Perhaps it is our 'dirty secret,' and getting the drug requires going into 'the confessional' of the pharmacists for justifying why you need it. Yes, it should be available to women so that they have control of their bodies and is better than the alternative: an unwanted pregnancy. It is effective. However, there are side effects. I have been feeling nausea, constipation, sleepiness, and bloatedness for the past 5 days. Contraceptives have bad side effects. Why can't men have to take it instead?"

For Emergency Contraception "I took this pill within 24 hours after my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex. It was during my fertile days. I received light bleeding within a week. Two weeks later, I got my actual period. The waiting was crucial! I experienced bloating, dizziness, and extreme fatigue. Don't stress over it, that could delay your period. Thank God my boyfriend was extremely supportive!"

For Emergency Contraception "This review is about to be so long, but I really, really want to ease the minds of people in the same boat as I was. 1.) EVERYTHING WILL BE OK, REMEMBER THAT. 2.) I had unprotected sex during ovulation, and my partner pulled out, not finishing in me. I then got Plan B and took it 6 hours after. I felt very tired that day and nauseous. About 5 days later, I experienced bloating, frequent urination, cramping, and brownish/red bleeding for 5 days. However, this was not my period, it was the withdrawal bleeding from the pill. I continued to have these symptoms and waited for my June 26th period, which never came. I became very nervous because I was starting to develop almost all the symptoms of early pregnancy. I had frequent urination, thought I had morning sickness - but it worked - Don't panic."

For Emergency Contraception "I figured I’d share my experience since Plan B has now worked for me a second time. On May 1st, my boyfriend and I were having protected sex, but unfortunately the condom ended up getting stuck inside me. Yes, the condom got stuck inside, and his sperm ended up all over my genital area. I started to freak out because my period was due May 8th, in other words, I had already ovulated, and I didn’t feel like enduring the harsh side effects of the pill again. Eleven hours later, I went to my local Walmart, purchased a Plan B, and took it right away so the pill could react effectively. I didn’t have any symptoms from the pill until a couple of days after. My symptoms consisted of extreme fatigue, nausea, sharp pelvic pains, and massive bloating. Fast forward to May 7th, I started to have a little bit of brown discharge (very light). May 8th, I started to spot pinkish-brown (a little heavier). And May 9th, my period finally came full throttle. All in all, the pill works, so keep your head high and don't stress."

For Emergency Contraception "Like many of you, I could not stay off the Internet and making myself sick with worry. My experience didn't sound like the typical 'spotted a week later' story, so to ease the minds of others out there, here it is: My last menstrual period began June 8th. On the 27th day of my cycle, I had unprotected sex. I freaked and got the pill about 35 hours after the fact because my periods are irregular and I don't track. No adverse reactions except maybe a breakout. A week passes, and I start having odd cramping and bloating. Not a drop of blood. Over a week, the cramps turn into more like PMS cramps, and I have my period 13 days after taking Plan B. That's also about how many pregnancy tests I took. Happy ending."

For Emergency Contraception "Promised I would share my experience on taking Plan B One-Step if I had a good outcome, so here I am. On September 14th, I had protected sex. During the intercourse, at some point, the condom broke. From the time he last checked it to the time he noticed it broke, it was probably less than 2 minutes. He did not cum inside me, was just afraid of pre-cum. Of course, I freaked out since that was the first time that had happened to me AND it was my ovulation day. Took the pill within an hour. My cycle is 28 days, so I still had two weeks till my next period. Had slight cramping, bloating, and tender breasts. Had slight bleeding about 5 days leading up to my period, but I knew it was not my period. Took two pregnancy tests about 4 days apart, and both came back negative. FINALLY!!!! I got my period on October 12th, which was 7 days late, but I got it! Super happy!!!!"

For Emergency Contraception "Ok, so basically I had unprotected sex on the exact day I was ovulating and took a Plan B 4-5 hours later and thought I would be fine. I had a weird feeling later, so I googled if Plan B works during ovulation, and sure enough, all these articles pop up saying it doesn’t, so I immediately freak out. I cried for days and literally convinced myself I was pregnant. I had extremely sore and swollen boobs a week after taking it, bloating, nausea, developed a yeast infection, and got strep. I was so convinced I was pregnant, and I took 3 tests within the week before I was supposed to get my period. All negative, still thought I was until I got my period on the exact day I was supposed to (thank you, God). Do not stress yourself out like I did. Plan B WORKS, even during ovulation. Just take it ASAP and don’t let the side effects get to your head and whatever you do, DON’T google. It will just convince you that you are pregnant, and stressing doesn’t help your period arrive faster. Good luck."

For Emergency Contraception "I'm young and inexperienced with sex, so when we decided to not use a condom, I thought it might be worth it since I knew about Plan B. Let me tell you guys, don't plan on Plan B instead of condoms or other forms of birth control. I thought it was a good option (and spoiler alert: it worked!), but I really regret relying on it. I waited about 20 hours to take it, and the next night I realized the day we had sex was my most fertile day (my ovulation day). Then I read a bunch of articles online about Plan B being ineffective if taken during ovulation, and I had a lot of pregnancy symptoms: bad cramps, tender breasts, bloating, dizziness. I got my period 5 days earlier than scheduled after freaking myself out and feeling like absolute crap. Never again."

For Emergency Contraception "The condom broke on July 4th, and we didn't realize it broke till after he finished inside of me. I'm not on BC, so we immediately went to the store to buy Plan B One-Step, and I took it within the hour of it happening. I did some research, and I was in the time of ovulating. This made me really nervous that it could increase my chances of getting pregnant, but I knew that all I could do was wait and see what happens. Symptoms I experienced were tiredness, moodiness, bloating, and very sensitive and sore breasts. Today I'm happy to say I GOT MY PERIOD!!! It was only 1 day late. I'm so relieved!!! My advice is don't wait, take the pill ASAP and let it do its work. DON'T STRESS or think about it too much. Be positive & keep yourself busy."

For Emergency Contraception "My boyfriend and I had a mistake; we usually use my cycle awareness and pull-out method as birth control. It was successful for 6 months. We had a mistake one night, and I knew I was ovulating, so I went to the doctor the next day and took the Plan B within 24-30 hours after the mistake. Well, 2 weeks later, I started getting my usual period symptoms: sore breasts, tired, hungry, irritable, bloated. But this time, the bleeding never came. I'm now 8 weeks pregnant. The doctor said it's rare, only 5%, but it can happen. So please be careful! I've had other experiences with Plan B that were positive, and it worked, but I guess God had a different plan this time."

For Emergency Contraception "I took the Plan B emergency pill while in my fertile window. I took the pill 24 hours later. I was really stressed out while I was waiting for my period. I looked super bloated, and my nipples got dark. I got my period 4 days early. Although it lasted for almost 1 and a half weeks. Everything was fine, and I forgot about it until it was time for my second period. It was late. I looked way more bloated than I did last time. I was reading reviews of how people got pregnant even after they got their period after taking Plan B. I started to freak out a lot, but then my boobs started to get sore, and I would have occasional cramps, so I thought to myself, 'okay, you're okay, everything’s gonna be fine.' I got my second period 14 days late. Plan B really messes up your cycle, so PLEASE only take it if it’s really an emergency! AND please don’t freak yourself out like I did! Everything will be okay! I prayed to God, and he answered my prayers! Everything happens for a reason :)"

For Emergency Contraception "I had sex on March 13th, and the condom broke. My partner noticed before orgasming, luckily, but I didn't want to take the risk of a precum baby. I also was in my most fertile time, about to hit ovulation. I took Plan B on March 14th, 15 hours later. I experienced spotting 3 days after that quickly went away. I also experienced bloating, mood swings, feeling hot, etc., that lasted for a little over a week. My expected period was March 30th. I got it yesterday, on April 19th. I was 20 days late-a little over 5 weeks after I took the pill. I took 4 pregnancy tests in this time. So, to all freaking out like I did, do know that the pill can make you late (even 20 days late) and make you experience symptoms similar to pregnancy symptoms."

For Emergency Contraception "Plan B works! I am not on birth control, have an extremely regular period, and keep close track of my fertile/non-fertile windows each month. I have taken Plan B 3 times over the span of a year as backup for the pull-out method. I have experienced minimal to no side effects, with the exception of being extremely bloated. The first 2 times I took the pill, my period came the exact day I was due for it, and the 3rd time my period came 3 days early. Ladies, just relax and let the pill do what it's supposed to do. If you took it within the 72-hour time frame, then your chances of becoming pregnant are slim to none. The pill is not a hoax, and it truly does what it is meant to do!"
