For Multiple Myeloma "I have been taking the drug lenalidomide since 2019. I am never sure of what drug causes what side effects. I have neuropathy in my feet that I assume is from the drug. I have 2 or 3 days a week with low energy that I assume is from the drug. I am aware of the pitfalls of this drug as it relates to handling etc. My blood test results reflect side effects from the drug."

Lenalidomide "I am taking 20 mg Revlimid. This is only Day #6. So far, I have a cough and nasal congestion. No fever. I will have blood work in 2 days. Not sure how it’s working. After 21 days and 7 off, I will increase to 25 mg."

For Multiple Myeloma "When the MM was first diagnosed, I took 1 x 10 mg daily. I came out in a red rash over my arms and body. The lenalidomide was reduced to 1 x 10 mg every second day and I have no skin complications. I have lived for 6 years and 3 months since the diagnosis. At the initial diagnosis, I was having night sweats, leg pain, and had lost 5 kg in 2 weeks."

For Multiple Myeloma "Started on lenalidomide in 2017 after a stem cell transplant - 5 mg 21/28. This went well until early this year (2025). My main problem was chronic diarrhea and pain. I managed initially for many years with loperamide until I realized that the codeine in the Emtec I was taking for pain had a side effect of constipation. So I dropped the loperamide and take 2 to 4 Emtec 300-30 a day. It does double duty for pain relief (especially at night) and counteracts the diarrhea. Recently, my cancer specialist increased my lenalidomide to 10 mg 28/26 as a so-called maintenance dose (sic!). On Day 8 of my cycle, I started to experience chest pains (upper left) and went to emergency. Nothing could be found by cardiology or oncology, so I was released 36 hrs later (but still had occasional chest pains). I changed my intake of lenalidomide to 10 mg every other day, an effective average equivalent to 5 mg 28/28. I feel much better, it's now Day 15 of my cycle."

For Multiple Myeloma "On 10 mg lenalidomide capsules for 3 years, reduced paraprotein levels but now increasing. Some bowel problems but manageable. Possible side effects found: tremor, chills, depression, blurred vision. Not compatible with dexamethasone, psychological problems."

Lenalidomide for Multiple Myeloma "First time I took Revlimid, I also took a steroid. I was taken off the steroid when my face turned red till it finally got up to my eyes. Taking Revlimid then on, I did not have any reactions. On it for 10 years, I was taken off when my m-protein was at 0.2 standstill. Off for 6 months, I was started on lenalidomide and had terrible itchiness! I waited to be able to get the next refill of Revlimid. I had such a good response till 2 capsules of Revlimid were taken this time, I have little spots rather than the large areas I had on lenalidomide."

Lenalidomide for Multiple Myeloma "I have been on this for over one year now. In the past couple of months, I have had the 'black tarry stool' side effect. I have not mentioned this to my doctor because it has not bothered me, really, and I am fearful of not being able to continue on this medicine that I believe is to keep my multiple myeloma in check. Apart from that, I have general fatigue and arthritic-type pain in my joints, which I am unsure whether this is due to Revlimid or just growing older."

For Follicular Lymphoma "I have been on this medication for 14 months. It has helped my condition. As of right now, it has worked, and my spots have disappeared. My side effects include no smell, weakness, and numbness in my right hand/fingers. I am tired, but I still work and do what I need to do. I do have stomach pains and bowel issues at times."

For Multiple Myeloma "I'm on a clinical trial and lenalidomide is part of the medication for my study. At that time, I was taking (25 mg) capsules once a day, but now I'm taking (10 mg) capsules. I have not had many of the listed side effects, but I have had some including: neuropathy in the fingers and toes, persistent sore throat, mood changes. However, now that my condition is in remission (thank God!), I'm taking this as a maintenance drug as I go throughout my days normally."

For Multiple Myeloma "I have been using Lenalidomide to keep MM remission. The major side effects are cramps and tinnitus, besides low blood, white counts, and low platelets. The transaminases are also high, and I had to diminish the dosage."

Lenalidomide for Multiple Myeloma "I am on 5 milligrams of Revlimid. I have lower back pain, night sweats, loss of appetite, dry mouth, voice changes, mood swings, always tired and weak, insomnia, having a hard time standing up for very long periods of time. It’s hard dealing with it, but I have to keep taking it for maintenance treatment. I have been in remission for two years. Done July 20, 2025."

For Multiple Myeloma "It has saved my life. I was months away from death when diagnosed one year ago. At first, I didn't want to try 'chemo,' but after waiting several weeks and feeling my health rapidly declining, I decided I had nothing to lose by accepting treatment. I was started on the standard treatment of VRD but found I couldn't tolerate the Bortezomib. I've had Lenalidomide with dexamethasone for 10 months now and feel very well. Minor side effects have been very dry peeling skin and fatigue. My blood results show I still have a paraprotein level of 11, and my kidney function is slowly declining. It certainly hasn't cured me, but I'm stable for the time being and enjoying life. I live in Australia, so treatment is free."

Lenalidomide for Multiple Myeloma "Overall, the benefits by far outweigh the side effects. I’m on 50 mg daily for 21 days on, seven days off. On average, the side effects I have experienced have been mostly minor, things like muscle spasms and cramps. The most annoying side effects have been muscle cramps up and down the side of my left leg. Possible but it turned out to be normal."
