For Rosacea "I began with dry, red-looking skin with pimples after I gave birth to my daughter 6 years ago. Many dermatologists (to be exact, 5) told me I was having eczema. However, none of their medications and topical cream worked. Sadly, there was nothing I could do to make my skin look and feel better. I was very depressed and almost gave up. Until less than 1 month ago, my aesthetic doctor shared with me about Soolantra for Rosacea. I did my research and stumbled onto Drugs.com site. After reading many pages of reviews, I plucked up my courage to search for a clinic that sells Soolantra. This is my 3rd week of using Soolantra - I am able to put on makeup since week 2 (my skin was so texturized with HUGE pores and raised skin). During the first 2 weeks, I did have a couple of tiny pimples and little redness. Right now, my skin feels smooth, pores are less visible, less redness. This site has 'encouraged' me to make the right decision. Now, I am paying it forward to help others. =)"

For Rosacea "Me again! The last time I wrote here was after being on Soolantra for 3 months, and my skin was perfect! Because of that, I thought I could stop using it, however, I wish I never had because now my perioral dermatitis is back with a vengeance and ten times worse than before! I’ve been on Soolantra again for just over a month, and it’s not getting any better. I have huge pustules, redness, and scaly skin on my chin and lots of papules. It’s even spread to my forehead this time. It’s really upsetting as I’m only 20, and all through my teenage years, I had perfect skin, and now it looks as though I’ll never have that again, or at least I’ll be forever dependent on a cream to get there. I will continue to use Soolantra for the recommended 3 months again and update you all in due course."

For Rosacea "I used Soolantra for a month. I had read that it got worse before it got better, so wasn’t surprised when my condition worsened. My skin improved after ten days. After 14 days, however, my skin significantly worsened, and I had hundreds of tiny bumps on my cheeks, nose, and forehead (areas that I never had issues with). My face felt like sandpaper. I was prepared for this, but it never got better over the next 16 days; it got progressively worse. I finally had enough and went to see my derm to make sure that this was normal. As soon as he saw me, he told me that this was absolutely not normal. I haven’t used Soolantra in two days, and my skin is definitely improving but still nowhere near how it looked when I first started treatment. I know that worsening is expected, but I am writing this to let people know that all worsening is not necessarily normal. I wish that I had trusted my gut and hadn’t kept going, but I am hopeful that my skin will clear up in a few days' time."

For Rosacea "I started using this cream a month ago. For the last 5 years, my cheeks have been red and covered with whiteheads popping up every now and then. My doctor prescribed me Soolantra a month ago, and after reading these reviews, I was very, very, very hopeful that my skin would finally look good again. I was prepared to see that my condition would get worse before it got better, like almost every review here is saying. Unfortunately, my skin started to look very bad after a week of long use. Instead of consulting my doctor, I was assuming that this is the 'worst part' that everyone is talking about. Four weeks into this, and my skin is worse than ever, with pimples appearing in areas on my face where I have never had them before. After speaking with my doctor, she advised me to stop immediately, as this is not how it should be. I am happy this cream has helped so many others, but if you see that it's not getting better, please consult with your doctor, not with the reviews."

For Rosacea "I've had rosacea for 24 yrs, had topical cream and antibiotics, which I didn't want to take because of all the side effects. Have been on Soolantra for 6 weeks and have unbelievable skin. I don't even have to wear makeup. What a blessing. But my skin did get worse in the beginning of using. I guess it had to get rid of all those mites. UGH!! So happy something works."

For Rosacea "Posting this because I read the reviews and needed them to make my own decision. I’ve struggled with rosacea for about 8 months. I tried azelaic acid and then MetroGel. Neither really did it for me. I tried this and started breaking out within the first week. I’m about one week in and the breakouts are going away, and even while the breakouts were happening, I could see the redness going down. I expect the breakouts to stop as my skin gets used to the new medication and for the redness to remain down. Definitely recommend and make sure you stick with it because it may get worse before it gets better, but I can already see it getting better. I hope someone who was in my shoes sees this. It felt like nothing would help, but this stuff actually did."

For Rosacea "Today I feel sad. I have been using Soolantra for 7 weeks now. The first 3 days were terrible, with major redness, itching, and lots of pimples. But then they disappeared, and also the bumps that I have had for several months started to reduce in size. My cheeks have had a very strange texture because of the rosacea, but they now got smooth and less red. I have rosacea on my nose and cheeks. So I was happy until now, week 7, when suddenly it seems to go in the wrong direction. I have a breakout that is really bad, with itching, pimples, and more redness than before I started. I know it says that you should continue for 12 weeks, so I will do that. I will come back and tell what happened. But I wanted to share my experience since I know how hard it is to have rosacea and also to read only stories that include people who got rid of it only in two weeks. I have type 2 with p&p, but I also have redness with broken blood vessels."

For Rosacea "Entire face covered in red patches and breakouts, several lumps under the skin, especially along the jawline. It was terrible. Started Soolantra, and it was worse for about a week and a half. Nearly quit. But then... my skin started to clear a little. I kept going, and slowly it worked better and better. 5 months after starting, only the visible veins on my nose are there, no breakouts, no lumps or pustules. Skin has healed so well. Watch your diet too. Less wheat is important, amazing product. It changed my life. I’ve used it for 7 months."

For Rosacea "UPDATE: I last wrote 3/14/19, at which point I’d been on Soolantra for mild perioral dermatitis (a form of rosacea) for a month, and my skin was clear - no bumps, no redness, no spots! However, 2 months in, and my skin is breaking out again. I wake up to at least 2 new bumps or big whiteheads every day, and whilst they only last about 2 days, it is still very annoying and makes me self-conscious. However, I know that there are ups and downs in treatment, and I still have a month left, so I will update in due course as to whether this is “normal” or if Soolantra is no longer working for me. Best of luck to others!"

For Rosacea "I have had pretty bad rosacea all my life, which means redness and those small red acne scar marks. It was mainly all over my cheeks. I've tried so many different creams, and honestly, half of them I wasn't consistent with because I was convinced nothing was ever going to help my face. I was prescribed Soolantra to see if it could help combat my redness and the acne marks. After the first night I used it, my face was flushed red and burning. After a couple of days, I didn't recognize my skin. I had so many whiteheads, the texture was rough, and I had red dots everywhere. I was honestly freaking out because my skin never was that bad. But I decided to read the reviews, and I saw everyone saying that they had similar symptoms and to not give up, to stick by it because it does work. I somehow managed to stick to it and stay consistent, and when I tell you my skin never looked like this before, I mean it. Keep taking it and don’t give up! It is worth it!"

For Rosacea "My derm gave this to me on a whim, as a sample at my last visit. The nurse PA said her mom used it, and it worked great. How many times have I heard that? I have to say this stuff is FANTASTIC. Not only have I not had any more cysts form, it seems to have evened out my skin tone and texture. I was very surprised at the results. I have been using it for about 4 weeks, and I have three small pimples, PIMPLES, not cysts that are what 'normal people' would get. I have been very pleased, and I keep thinking it will fail, so far so good. I would definitely recommend Soolantra."

For Rosacea "Soolantra has been an absolute nightmare. I went to my dermatologist for general redness and the occasional pustule. Now, 4 weeks later, my condition is AT LEAST 300% worse than when I started. My derm told me, 'It often gets worse before it gets better,' but, as I feared, it got worse only to get worse yet. Pustules, papules, and cysts have popped up AND STAYED, reinfecting and reinfecting, and now I look like I have a serious disease. In addition, I actually had to PAY for this nightmare substance!! Soolantra has made me agoraphobic. It may work for some, but it has completely wrecked me entirely."

For Rosacea "Started using Soolantra after my doc prescribed it for rosacea, which I was shocked at, as being a beauty therapist, I totally did not think I had rosacea, as I would link rosacea to sensitive, red, inflamed skin, which mine is not. I have a terrible uneven texture occurring in my skin for years now. It has just gotten worse over the years and I have pit marks. Been using the cream for a few days. My skin is very dry and tight, but I think I am seeing a slight improvement in the texture issue. But my neck is blotchy and itchy, which I didn’t have before, and I am getting some breakouts again, something I don’t really get? I can only assume that it brings out the badness to clear it up, perhaps. Most people on here have redness rosacea, so I think I’m still in shock that just my texture issue is rosacea, but I’m willing to give this a go as I think I see an improvement. Anyone else on here just have the texture issue with no redness and been diagnosed with rosacea? I’d love to hear back."

For Rosacea "If I could go back and never touch this stuff, I would. It’s been a month since I stopped using this garbage after using it for about nine weeks. This did nothing for my rosacea, but it gave me cystic acne on my chin. I just keep getting huge under-the-skin bumps, to the point where I am now on two different oral acne meds and can’t put anything on my face topically without making matters worse. Awful, horrible experience."

For Rosacea "I've been using this for 7 weeks. At first, I thought this was the deal! No more dry skin, no more breakouts. Until 3 weeks ago. Now I get those big ones that really hurt, etc. Can that really be the mites? I just wish someone could give me advice. I'm running out of hope. I guess I will keep going for the 12 weeks everybody is talking about, but I doubt it will work. Best of luck to all that struggle out there!"

For Rosacea "I have been using this cream for 6 weeks, and this past week it has broken me out more. The first six weeks, my skin was great, and I even noticed major improvement in my condition, but I do not understand why all of a sudden I am breaking out more. I was thinking about stopping the medicine, but since I made it this far, why not give it a few more weeks to try and clear up my skin. I am still hopeful!!"

For Rosacea "My face has gotten progressively worse. I have been using Soolantra for 6 weeks, and I have decided to stop because I literally now have a skin problem much worse than before. My whole face now has a blackhead in every pore, and although my skin was never perfect, it is now ruined by this medication. I go to sleep and wake up the next morning to find 8 to 10 pustules appearing overnight. This stuff has made my condition way worse."

For Rosacea "I am 28 and have type 2 rosacea, my dermo put me on Doxycycline 100 mg (6-week course) + Soolantra just over 3 weeks ago. My skin got considerably worse the first 2 weeks to the point I felt like I couldn't leave the house, but now it is much better. I have even been on holiday in the last week and overindulged/was in the sun a little, and it hasn't gotten any worse. The spots have gone, but there are still some red patches. I have scored this a 7 because I am not sure if the improvement is down to the doxycycline or the Soolantra, so I will write again when I come off the antibiotics."

For Rosacea "I've been on Soolantra now for almost 3 months. At 2 weeks, I had a flare-up. Then my face cleared up dramatically. Then at about 4 weeks, I had one of the worst flare-ups that I have ever had. Whiteheads everywhere and a few hard pustules that took over a week to heal. I wanted to give up, but am so glad I stuck with it! No breakouts since. If you can muscle through the ups and downs, it's so worth it. I believe this medication takes 60-90 days to see full results. Don't give up too early! I also just started on Rhofade in the AM. Love this as well! I do not want to take antibiotics, and so far these two creams are keeping my face under control!!"

For Rosacea "I have been using Soolantra a little over a week now. Within the first few days, it was really hard to tell if it was working or not, I had the feeling that my skin got slightly worse after 2 days. Now, after about 10 days of using this cream, I'm starting to notice a small difference. Not so many whiteheads, the old ones are healing. The redness is still there, but that is okay as I see the improvement, and probably, like with every treatment, it takes a bit of time. So far, so good!"

For Rosacea "Applied Soolantra cream samples to entire face and neck for 3 nights. Developed intense itching, redness, and multiple red bumps and pustules on my cheeks and neck after the 3rd dose. I went from mild redness with no bumps to broken out and itching like crazy. I sure hope this goes away soon! Waiting on a call back from my dermatologist to find out what to do."

For Rosacea "My experience with Soolantra is similar to Grateful’s. Skin reddening and becoming more sun-sensitive, bumps and pustules got me to the GP, a disastrous prescription of flucloxacillin that multiplied the bumps and pustules a hundredfold and caused me to have 2 weeks off, but fortunately got me to an excellent dermatologist. The dermatologist prescribed washing with Dermol500 and applying Soolantra. I have been using it now since 17 April (today is 23 May) and in that time, it has cleared all lumps, bumps, scales, rash, redness and amazingly (to me) stopped the strange flushing feeling that would creep across my face like an allergic reaction several times a day. I have been almost crying in gratitude with the relief from the pain and itching."
