For Type 2 Diabetes "I was prescribed Novolin N a year ago along with Trulicity. I was instructed to use the Novolin N when I was taking Prednisone for my asthma and nasal polyps. I totally forgot about the Novolin because at first, the Trulicity was keeping my numbers low. However, the past 6 months or so, my numbers have been horrendous, and my original endo was not seeing patients due to the pandemic. I went to see another doctor, and he was just horrible. I started waking up to numbers like 350, 295, and 400, which is disturbing. Thankfully, I found my Novolin N in the fridge and started taking it as directed. My numbers came straight down. I was excited to see my fasting blood glucose of 167. I am happy with Novolin N."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Novolin N is much cheaper than Lantus. I have been on it for the last 4 months. No low sugar problems, but my numbers are much better than Lantus, and I find that I have been taking less. I have a backup supply of Lantus that I need to use up, and then goodbye Lantus. By the way, I tried the Novolin N on my own because my endocrinologist is not a fan. But after I discussed the numbers with him, he is in full agreement."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Novolin N has worked great for me. I use it to replace Lantus for one year now. I use it twice a day, morning and evening. Was taking 10 iu Lantus, now take 20 iu Novolin N. My doctor had no issue with this. I can't afford the crazy price of Lantus anymore, John."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Type 2 for 20 years, Levemir used for 15 of the past years with increasing dosing and could not get 'even' spread with Levemir's 24 hr protocol; Dr. changed me to Humulin N, a 12 hr protocol with better effects throughout a 24 hr period. Negative; caused me to gain 8 pounds within 2 weeks. I am a very active and trim 64 yr old, and I don't like this effect."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Regarding the broken vial, I dropped a vial of Novolog, and it broke too. But glad I did, insurance would not cover, and that is when I found out about Novolin, which has worked well for me... at big cost savings."

For Diabetes, Type 1 "I have used Humulin NPH since I was a kid back in 1985. I have tried other medications, but none have worked for my body. Only Humulin NPH works. It works all day long and I only need to take one shot a day. I rate Humulin NPH a 10 out of 10."

For Type 2 Diabetes "The pen is the best part. It takes less than a minute, no pain. My sugar levels have not changed, they are in the mid 200s, although sometimes I see 170s. I once saw my sugar as 440. No one can explain why this insulin has not worked for me."

For Diabetes, Type 1 "I have been using Lily NPH insulin since 1984 and have found it very effective, with minor adjustments, over the years. When I was taking Novo Nordisk's version of NPH, my unit requirement nearly doubled, and I never found it as effective as Eli Lilly."

For Diabetes, Type 1 "I was pleasantly surprised when Relion Novolin R worked as well as it did. I was forced to switch to this insulin because Medicare and Humana don't cover my U100 Type R regular insulin, which I've been taking for 45 years! This insulin is a fraction of the cost and works well enough. Wish there were more companies that weren't so tied up in corporate greed!"

For Gestational Diabetes "I can't believe how small the needle is. I'm terrified of needles, but this one you can barely feel going into your skin. Pricking your finger to test your sugars hurts worse. The only complaint I have is it sometimes burns once the insulin is injected. That's the most uncomfortable part."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Beware the Walmart generic Novolin N. Just like most of Walmart's new line of exclusive generic versions, this one is terrible. I've had headaches, blurry vision, brain fog, abdominal swelling, and despite my doc raising my dosage three times, no positive effect on my blood sugar levels, actually, they appear to have gone up somehow. Don't get your generic meds from Walmart if you have a choice."

For Type 2 Diabetes "All of the Humulin-type insulins seem to be very weak, as I have had to take about three times the recommended amounts to get any effect. Now that the price of insulin has jumped back up, this stuff isn't worth it anymore."

For Gestational Diabetes "I am terrified of needles and was very upset when I found out that I would have to give myself daily injections. This pen is so easy to use. I didn't even feel the needle. I feel much better about the last ten weeks of my pregnancy."

For Diabetes, Type 1 "I am not pleased with the company. On the morning of September 24, I accidentally dropped a bottle of Novolin N, and the bottom broke out. I understand that it was my fault the bottle was dropped, but being a diabetic for 31 years, I know I have dropped other bottles. This is the first time I have ever had a bottle break. I called the company wanting them to understand that their product, which even children use, did not withstand a 4-foot drop onto a throw rug on a tiled kitchen floor. The lady I talked to did not even want to listen to the rest of the story. She heard I dropped the bottle, and then she wanted to tell me that it was my fault. I get that... I dropped the bottle. But what about the safety issue for those who use their product?"
