For Rhinitis "Expensive. This is my second try for my blocked ears and nose. The Sensimist bottle never quite empties, and the spray hose does not reach the bottom. Thus, you are unable to use the costly liquid spray that you paid for."

For Allergic Rhinitis "A regular user of Alavert, I thought I'd give Flonase's 'six factors' a try, being a fan of being thorough. Unlike my former med, the floral-scented spray took a week to even begin taking effect, which was minimal at best. At the first sign of a pollen explosion, my allergies went rampant, as though I hadn't just spent the last two weeks cramming spray up my nostrils. I'm praying for rain today for relief. And I'm going back to Alavert. Sorry, Flonase."

For Allergic Rhinitis "I was on Flonase for about 6 months. Noticed it completely blocked all of my allergies, however, by month 5, I started noticing my asthma medication was no longer working (I take Advair), so decided to stop taking the Flonase to see if that was the problem. Within 3 days, my asthma meds were working again, BUT I now have every allergy symptom I've ever had, even symptoms I haven't had since I was a little kid!"

For Allergic Rhinitis "Out of desperation, I bought this over the counter. My allergies have suddenly worsened. I could not sleep, as I was completely clogged up and my nose was extremely dry. I felt instant relief from the very first spray. I sleep better, and so far the only side effect I have encountered is a slight cough. This is really nothing compared to the loss of sleep, horrible nasal dryness, etc., with which I was dealing. Not everything will work for everyone, but this worked for me. I am thrilled!"

For Allergic Rhinitis "Great nasal spray. It does take time for it to start working, so do not expect instant results, but once it starts to work, it's a great nasal spray. My sinus allergies are so much better. I do have a nasal bleed from time to time, but my doctor said to use some saline spray or Vaseline on a swab and put it inside my nose. I will continue to use Flonase as long as my doctor feels it's necessary. I would highly recommend it! But do remember, it takes time to start working, it has to build up."

For Allergic Rhinitis "It really helped with my nasal congestion that I believe occurred from use of Advair for 6 weeks. Advair was great for my lungs, but I could not clear my nose. Now I am withdrawing from Flonase because I have lost my senses of taste and smell and do not sleep well. Experiencing a headache for the last 3 days since discontinuing Flonase. Anyone else experience these?"

For Allergic Rhinitis "I have had serious sinus/allergy issues for the past 25 years. 2 sinus surgeries (1 disastrous), so I may not be your 'typical' example. I've taken Flonase, Nasacort, even Prednisone drops for extended periods of time, some of them for years. I recently stopped using Flonase and have noticed the following changes: sleeping much better, feel calmer, skin far less irritated, long-term mucus cough improved by 80%, scratches healing quicker. It's still early days, but I have to question the claim that nasal steroid sprays are topical and not absorbed by your system. In the future, I will try to avoid using steroid nasal sprays, especially on a long-term basis."

For Allergic Rhinitis "My teen son and I both have used Flonase. First, it does work well to control our pollen allergies. However, we both have had side effects. My son's eye pressure increased, and we monitored it during pollen season and off with an ophthalmologist. The culprit was indeed the Flonase. I've experienced difficulty sleeping. I once took Flonase in the evening because I forgot the morning dose and was very congested-did not sleep all night. If taken in the morning, I can get to sleep but not deeply."

For Allergic Rhinitis "I don't understand all these negative reviews. I guess people react differently to medications. For me, Flonase changed my life dramatically for the better. I'm 59 years old and have been taking this (or Vancenase - similar) since it came out when I was 23, for severe, almost year-round allergies. I take it every day, once a day, two sprays in each nostril. The only effect I've observed is that it is highly effective in controlling my allergies (no panic attacks, diabetes, headaches, etc. that others report). When I've stopped Flonase, the allergies come back, and with it, the inability to tolerate dogs, enjoy the outdoors, etc. It absolutely transformed my quality of life for the better (in some ways I look at my life as 'before Flonase' and 'after Flonase'). I rank it a 9 out of 10 and not a 10/10 only because I still get itchy eyes, and this year it's been a little less effective for some reason than in the prior 35 years."

For Rhinitis "Flonase is absolute trash and did nothing to unstop my nose. I had to go back to the store and buy the generic Kroger brand, and that was the only thing that gave me some relief. Flonase did not decongest either side of my nostril at any time, and it was a horrible waste of money."

For Rhinitis "Had hoped it would help with constant nightly congestion, but it didn't. Actually seemed a tiny bit worse. Doctor hasn't found any allergies in what has been tested. Though I have found antihistamines to help in the past, and I'm going to try those now to see if that helps."

For Allergic Rhinitis "I took Flonase for a month, as recommended by my ENT, in order to treat tinnitus. Flonase did not help my tinnitus at all. After about a month of using it, I had to stop due to extreme dryness and pain inside my nose. I've never experienced symptoms like this before taking Flonase. It's been 6 months since stopping Flonase, and the dryness has improved, but the pain has not improved."

For Rhinitis "I have been taking this for about a month now and noticed a significant reduction in sneeze attacks and excessive allergy symptoms. I take this along with my regular Allegra dose. Taking the Allegra alone, I would still get sneeze attacks, but now with Flonase it is only occasional. Thank you, Flonase!"

"Have been using Flonase for about 1 month. Dosage: 1 spray per nostril twice daily. The only side effect noted has been a tiny amount of blood present when I blow my nose, but this is infrequent and is always a very small 'spot.' I have responded amazingly well to this medication, and my ongoing problem with congestion is greatly improved. The only reason I didn't rate Flonase as a 10 was that nothing is perfect, and I allowed for the development of something that possibly, though unlikely, would perform better."

For Rhinitis "Flonase made me feel so much worse. Headaches and sore throat were the worst side effects of this drug. My nose stuffiness was not relieved. If anything, it made it worse. Terrible headaches. Ughh -- been on it a week taken as directed, and it makes me feel terrible. I feel better without it."

For Allergic Rhinitis "This is the only thing that works for my allergies. I'm allergic to most pollen, mold, and dust. Antihistamines don't work very well for me and give me weird side effects. I used to get regular sinusitis and allergy-induced asthma. Since starting this medication, I haven't had allergy symptoms or sinusitis. I have used my rescue inhaler twice in two years! This medication works wonders for me."

For Rhinitis "I have ETD since my first septoplasty. Doctors have been pushing corticosteroids to treat this condition. I, for one, do not care for steroids at all. My biggest concern is the weight gain and fatigue. It does help somewhat to provide relief but the side effects outweigh the benefit. I've been doing research online and read about Thymus glandular supplements for hay fever and allergies. I'm willing to try anything natural if it works without bad side effects."

For Allergic Rhinitis "I began this medication 7 years ago. Before that, all I did was not breathe, sinus headaches, and feel all over miserable. My doctor gave me this, and I'm amazed by how quickly it works, and once the 2-week period wore off, I was able to take it every other day, which I do now. No side effects at all. I have bipolar depression, anxiety, and PTSD. I'm medicated for these problems, so I can't comment on psychiatric side effects. All in all, this med is a lifesaver for me. Make sure you read very carefully the pamphlet that comes in the box to verify that you're using it correctly. I tilt my head slightly forward, breathe in, and spray twice, and breathe slowly out of my mouth. As far as cost, I was shocked at how much the drugstores charge for this. Fortunately, I have Medicaid, which pretty much covers everything with a zero copay."

For Allergic Rhinitis "I started using Flonase last year, and it worked pretty well for me. After using it for a while, I'd get nosebleeds and stop using it for a few days and start back. This year is different and seems to have little effect. I do not get 24 hours of relief. I'm lucky if I get 8."

For Allergic Rhinitis "After sustaining several severe nasal infections and severe migraines last year, which were followed by bouts of upper respiratory infections and the subsequent occurrence of shingles (due to an overtaxed immune system), I learned from my physician that my initial symptoms were associated with 'Cedar Fever' (allergic rhinitis). Adhering to the recommended daily regimen of Flonase and Loratadine (generic Claritin) from November to March, my symptoms resolved without recurrence! I was pleasantly surprised and thrilled that something worked when nothing else had during the previous seven years ever since we moved into our new house, which happens to be in close vicinity to a group of Cedar oak trees! The only noticeable side effect I am attributing to Flonase use is weight gain around my midsection, but it is manageable with exercise!"

For Allergic Rhinitis "Flonase works as advertised. It especially stops the itching, which is wonderful. The trouble is that it is not ergonomic. The container is too long. I am a female, so I have small hands, which makes it very hard to hold. It needs to be an inch shorter."

For Rhinitis "The worst thing about Flonase is that you have to try it for a full week to test whether it works. I just finished that week. It did not work, and I slept terribly because I couldn't breathe. I have a narrow nasal passageway. Flonase did not work."

For Allergic Rhinitis "This Flonase has an aftertaste, which is not a problem. It works okay for about an hour, and its effect wears off. The suggested dose is two sprays per day. The post-nasal drip irritation returns, which starts the unending coughing, irritating, yes, very much. I can't increase the dose, so I am going back to the doctor again for another consultation."

For Allergic Rhinitis "Flonase sucks. The first two days I used it, I thought it was the greatest thing ever invented because my horrible allergies finally seemed to clear up. I forgot to take it one day and woke up in the middle of the night with a stopped-up nose, so I took Flonase again as soon as I woke up. It was very ineffective that time. I got horrible headaches, insanely itchy eyes, a sore throat, and my mouth and lips were constantly dry. It has been a week since I've vowed to never use Flonase again, and I still have the worst smell in my nose and mouth from that stupid allergy 'reliever.' If you're wondering if you should hop in your car, make the trip out, and purchase Flonase, I will let you know right now that that is the biggest mistake."

For Allergic Rhinitis "I have developed allergies (pollen?) in the last 2 years. Go figure, I'm in my 50s. My eyes get itchy, red, and watery, and I scratch my eyelids and eyes so much. This irritates them, and the eyelid gets raw. I finally tried Flonase from a doctor. I got jittery and anxious. After a few days, the roof of my mouth got raw, sore, and painful. I did not rinse my mouth every time after use. Maybe I should have. It was destroying my skin on the roof of my mouth. I will never use Flonase again, I threw it away."
