For Oral Thrush "Took the one dose for thrush in my mouth. Within the hour, I threw some of it up. 24 hours later, I ended up with red (tomato red skin) and itching and rash all up my arms, over my belly and neck. Been drinking water, had a bath (which helped calm the rash a bit), and now trying to ward off a panic attack. Horrible, horrible experience. I would have rather dealt with the thrush... hoping this med leaves my body soon."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I took this medication to treat a severe yeast infection. I used the two-day pill treatment. My doctor said to take the first one and then, if my symptoms did not completely disappear after 3 days, to take the second one. Took pill one and noticed my symptoms got worse. I took the second one with no luck either. My doctor then prescribed me the 7-day treatment following the two-day. My symptoms got slightly better but have not gone away completely. Intercourse is too painful to do anymore, and I still get itchiness, dryness, and abnormal discharge. This is extremely frustrating. Still looking for a cure :("

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have been having recurring yeast infections for about a year now. When I had one last year, my doctor prescribed me one pill of fluconazole, and it really didn't work. So, I was hesitant when I recently got one last month and attempted to cure it with OTC med, but I don't think it fully went away because here I am again with another yeast infection. Well, my doctor just gave me 2 pills of fluconazole. My discharge has completely gone, and now I still have a little itch. I'm praying after I take this second pill it would fully go away because it's really starting to depress me. My doctor is testing me for everything (even diabetes). I hope it's nothing serious and just a yeast infection."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my first yeast infection. I was too scared to tell anyone, so I dealt with it for almost a week. But last night, I couldn't handle it anymore, so I told my mum. She called, and the doctor sent in a prescription. I took the pill earlier around 1:30 pm. It's now 1:41 am. It took away a lot of the itching and burning when I pee, but it still slightly hurts to wipe, and it's slightly itchy. I have another dose I can take, but I'm waiting to see if this will help and clear up by tomorrow or get better."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I went to the doctor for a yeast infection (my first) and was given this. It seemed to help yesterday after I took it but woke up this morning with worse itching and massive amounts of discharge. Really hoping this will look up soon since I'm a newlywed and have things to do!"

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am always prescribed this drug when I get a yeast infection. The past 3 times I have taken it, it causes a couple of my fingers to swell and itch. By the next day, I always have a blister on my finger! I have developed an allergy to this medication. I will never take it again!!!"

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I took one pill when I went to bed. The next morning and days later, I have a red patch on my cheek. First, it burned and itched, now it looks like I am a burn victim. I have taken this medication before, but never again. I am just hoping this heals soon."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am very prone to yeast infections. Especially while on birth control, for the most part, really good probiotics clear it right up, but I had slight symptoms of a yeast infection for the past week, and the probiotics aren't doing the trick, so I had a Diflucan lying around from when I was on a Z-Pak. Decided to just take it and see if it would help. I'm having an awful reaction, my vagina is 100 times itchier. Don't take it. Go out and buy a great probiotic, so much better and all natural. I'm regretting taking it. :("

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I took this pill today at 2 pm. It is now 11:57 pm. I am in agony. The itching is torture. I read some posts that say it takes 2 days to start taking effect. Well, forget that. The cream may be nasty and drips all day onto a pad, but at least it is relief from the itching. I can't stand it. I feel like clawing my vag off. Off to the 24-hour pharmacy I go. Next time I will tell my doc to give me the cream."

Fluconazole for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I took 3 Diflucan for a yeast infection and used over-the-counter Monistat 3 day first on my own. One month later, I am still experiencing burning tongue, metallic taste in my mouth, slight pains going through each breast, very tired, and slight itch and burn on occasion in the vagina. I took this along with HRT and have been reading about the interaction they have together. All I have been told is that I may have overdone the treatment, had an allergic reaction, and killed too much good bacteria. Will never take this drug again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've taken fluconazole before and never had a problem with it. Last year, I took it and within 20 or so minutes, had extreme uncontrollable itching in my entire bottom area. My doctor told me just to take Benadryl and continue with another pill because my yeast infection hadn't gone away. The itching took almost three weeks, and I ended up using a cream. Now I'm pregnant and miserable and was prescribed the pill again. Forgetting about the events of last year, I took the pill to realize afterward that I shouldn't have (my doctor never added it to my list of allergies). Same issue. I'm already miserable from the pregnancy, now this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Side effects of fluconazole were so bad I couldn't finish the second pill. Took the pill around 10 pm, was fine, then woke up with a rash and severe itching all over my body. It was horrible, and it lasted days. Never again will I take this medication. Next up, Monistat!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "My doctor gave me a three-day course of 200 mg per day. I have taken it the last couple of days and still itchy, but zero discharge. I never had the discharge, but the swab showed that it was yeast. The itch has been unbearable, with inflamed clitoris :("

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Fluconazole is AMAZING! I had a yeast infection. I took it on 3/14/16, and within only 12 hours, the swelling went down completely, and the itch stopped. Today, 3/16, I am completely itch-free, no discharge, no nothing! Definitely an awesome medication! Love it."

For Esophageal Candidiasis "After being sick for a whole month, every test came back negative that you could think of. Finally got admitted to the hospital, and after endoscopy, found esophagus fungus. Took 200 mg of Diflucan for 14 days, which I made it to the last pill due to the horrible side effects of nausea, sick to stomach, massive headache, itching, rapid heart rate, tremors, lost taste for everything, anxiety that I have not ever had before, stomach and body pains, brain fog, dizzy. Called the GI doctor on call, and he said to stop taking the medication, then I got a letter in the mail to take 100 mg for 21 days. With these side effects, no way. But I went ahead and took 150 mg of the one I had left, and NO WAY would I ever take this again, so they called in another antifungal that was going to cost 400.00, which I have no insurance. Plus, the pharmacy said since I had these reactions, another may do the same because of the class of drugs. Can't wait for this to leave my system."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have chronic yeast infections. At first, I used Monistat, and my vag became so swollen I couldn't close my legs without it hurting, I was like that for 3 days. I went to the doctor, and he finally gave me Diflucan, and I've used it 3 times in the past, and it worked very quickly every time. But I have a yeast infection again, and I took Diflucan at about 6 pm, and it's now 1:32 am. I'm awake crying because the itching has gotten worse, and it's almost like I'm dripping discharge. This has never happened before. I'm just hoping it's a sign that the pill is clearing my vag of the infection..."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Last night, 4/3/19, I had another prescription refill of fluconazole, 1 pill, 150 mg. I had previously taken a dose two weeks before this one. That dose I took had my lip tingling and itching a little. I ignored it. So last night, after I took fluconazole around 8:30 p.m., my lips started tingling again, but this time it was MUCH WORSE! Not only my lips, my whole body felt as if a swarm of mosquitoes were attacking. I looked in the mirror: lips swollen and red with little red bumps, face starting to swell. I took two Benadryl, and now I feel much better. I let my doc know I had a severe allergic reaction to fluconazole."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I took this medication on Friday, and today I feel a lot better, not completely cleared, but it is getting there. The white discharge has cleared up. It takes up to 2 days for it to start working fully, it says on the leaflet. I also am using a cream that was also prescribed by the doctor. The cream has helped with itching. It can take a week for it to completely clear up, but I noticed it helping within 24 hours. I even though still have a little of an itch, this pill works well."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "It works for me every time. When you're diabetic, it happens when sugars are too high, sugars spill over into the bladder, causing it. But I have found fluconazole and a little help with Monistat cream or just Walmart cream helps with the itchy feeling. It comes with a tube, I just use that on the surface and it does the job."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I took fluconazole on a Monday when I first noticed the symptoms of a yeast infection from antibiotics. The next day my symptoms were much better and got better every day, but on Saturday morning I noticed the itching is back, and it's just as bad as it was on Monday. I also take probiotics every day, so I don't know what is going on, but I'm over it already."

Fluconazole for Candida Urinary Tract Infection "Two months ago, I started feeling burns on my penis, so I didn't take it seriously. But these days, it became so bad that I couldn't sleep, then I searched for it on Google today. I bought Diflucan, and it's been 4 hours, and I have no burning or itching, just a few wounds."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've taken this (150 mg) in the past for yeast infections, and usually, it does the trick in one dose within a couple of days - no side effects. Recently, I was prescribed Augmentin for 7 days. I told the doctor that I almost always get yeast infections after antibiotics, and she gave me two doses of fluconazole 150 mg. I didn't notice any of the symptoms of the infection until the last day I was on the antibiotics - then the extreme itching began. That evening, I took the first dose. It helped a little over the next couple of days, but the itch was still intense, and the burning was picking up, so I took the second pill three days after the first (as recommended on the package). It's now been three days since the second pill, and the burning is even more intense. I'm seeing my gynecologist soon to get tests because it's just not going away like it should. I don't know if my chemistry has changed or something, but the pill didn't work like it used to."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am on fluconazole 150 mg single dose for 4 weeks. The first day I took it gave relief with symptoms, but on the third, back to the same story. Itchy and discharge. I hate this. Still having the symptoms. After I finish with my dose, then I have to visit my doc. I hope I get away from this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I get frequent yeast infections after sex, and this is literally a miracle pill! I don’t understand why it’s not available over the counter, as it works way better than Monistat or any other cream, in my opinion. I get very intense itching, swelling, pain, and soreness in my vaginal area when I have a yeast infection, and this literally takes my symptoms away within 24 hours. Sometimes the itching gets more intense, but the next day it’s gone, and I tend to get white discharge (I assume it’s the yeast coming out?). I then take one more pill 72 hours later, and all my symptoms are gone. Please, please, please try this if you have a yeast infection, it’s honestly amazing, and I haven’t noticed any side effects at all. I need it to become over the counter."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my second yeast infection I have had, and the doc that I went to prescribed fluconazole. Didn't give me a whole lot of info on it other than it would cure the infection. I took the pill at around 10 pm, and it is now 5 am, and I can barely stand. My burning and itching have stopped, but my stomach hurts so bad, and I have spent the last hour on the toilet. It is a side effect, but I don't know if I should be concerned..."
