For Birth Control "I have been taking this for 3 months. My doctor said I could take it and skip the last row of pills in the 1st 2 packs so that I will only have a period every 3 months. I can tell you that has not been the case. I have been spotting irregularly ever since I started taking it. Sometimes it's for 3-4 days, sometimes it seems like it is for 2-3 weeks on and off. Sometimes it's heavier than normal. I am asking to be changed to something else."

For Birth Control "This was the first birth control I was on, I've since bounced around to three others, and I'm finally back to Cryselle. I have found this to be the most consistent and dependable. It normalized my cycle and helped my bad cramps and PCOS. My acne didn't really change much, but it did help my deep cystic acne. Now, I just get those clusters of tiny acne around my placebo week. If I skip it, I don't get them, though. All in all, I like Cryselle the best out of the four I've been on. I've been on Cryselle for about three years now, and I don't think I'll be changing anytime soon. Especially since it's cheaper than the others. Just remember, everyone is different and will react differently to every pill."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for 3 months now, and I have to say it has been awful! I do not feel like myself, I'm really irritable, angry, depressed, and my sex drive is gone. I've been working out daily and eating right and still gaining weight. I've also got awful period acne breakouts on Cryselle. The only positive things are that the pill does its job and my periods are 4 days max (they're also light)."

For Birth Control "I've been on this medicine for 6 months. I gave it a 5 for the sole fact it does do its job in preventing pregnancy, and my periods have been overall shorter and lighter. However, starting this pill, I was miserable from extremely tender breasts, nausea, extreme emotions, and weight gain. I've been on birth control for 10 years and have never gained weight, but within 6 weeks of starting this pill, I gained 20 lbs. Because of that, and the fact that it makes me extremely emotional and/or moody, I will be stopping at the end of my current pack."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "A month ago, I switched from Lo Loestrin Fe to Cryselle because of the expense of Loestrin. So far, I think Cryselle is okay. I'm on birth control to regulate and lighten my periods, and Lo Loestrin did that for me. So far this month, Cryselle didn't do anything for them. They are just as heavy and I still have bad cramps. But they are regular. What I do like is it cleared some of my acne. I've had no weight gain, but I am very emotional. Oh, and my breasts have grown tremendously."

For Birth Control "I have tried a few pills before, and this one was the worst. I would sweat constantly during the day and even wake up sweating. The acne I got was pretty bad as well. I was taken off the medicine when I reported to my doctor horrible headaches and seeing auras, which is a really bad sign of serious problems to come. All bad side effects aside, I did not get pregnant while on Cryselle, however, this pill was not right for me."

For Birth Control "I never would recommend. It's only prevented pregnancy. I've had every worse side effect. Ever since I started it, I've bled so heavily for over a month. I feel like I'm sick and dizzy from blood loss. I have major headaches and episodes of crying. Episodes of anger, depression, irritation, frustration, like a psycho. I'm not myself at all. I'm in such a dark place. I can't take it! It's ruining my life. I've never been so mad and sad in my life. Uncontrollably miserable in and out every day. If I'm not raging annoyed over small stuff, I'm blank, blah, and annoyed, and I mentally break down every other day. I'm switching to Ortho Tri-Cyclen. Something about Cryselle will make you cry forever. If you want to be negative all the time, just plain miserable, and unpleasant to be around, or want to be a psycho, this pill's for you. I can't believe how horrible this is."

For Birth Control "I was only on this birth control for one cycle. I couldn't stand it. It made me crazy, utterly insane. I was so paranoid, I couldn’t get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night because I was convinced someone was in my apartment. I would cry at the drop of a hat, and everything made me rage-y. On top of that, I had the worst vaginal dryness of my life. I was actually cracking and bleeding. Cryselle may work for you, but it made me feel horrible-mentally, emotionally, and physically."

For Birth Control "Cryselle works great. It was the first birth control I was prescribed as a teenager. I took it for years without issues until my pharmacy switched me to the generic version. The generic version of Cryselle is not the same as the name brand. I'm finally back on Cryselle. Thank goodness."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "So I've been taking this pill for two months, and right off, I got some bad side effects. I'm always tired and moody. I lose my appetite, or I'm just too nauseous to eat. I even have more freckles and got acne, which I didn't have before. The only good that came out of this pill is I get my period, and I lost weight."

For Birth Control "I've been on Cryselle for 4 years now. I take my pills faithfully. Now I haven't gotten a period since Sept 2019. I am on a 21-day count. I NEVER take the last row, which my doctor says is okay. It doesn't give me a period. I've been doing fine up until today, I see all this blood in the toilet. I'm guessing it must be my period since it hasn't come on since Sept 2019."

For Birth Control "I began taking this pill 4 months ago to help with my PMD. The 2-3 weeks following my period, I had extreme irritability/anxiety. My periods were also very heavy and accompanied by severe cramps, extreme fatigue, and headaches. My doctor recommended this pill to level out hormones and help with cramps. This pill has been amazing. My periods are 3-4 days long and very light. I have NO cramps. My face has cleared up except for a couple of breakouts on my chin the last day or so of my period, but they are gone in a couple of days. I feel so much better on this pill. Incredibly lower levels of irritability/anxiety."

For Birth Control "I had been on Low Ogestrel since I was 18, but never really got the hang of the hormones in the BC. I told my doctor and was switched to something else, and unfortunately that didn’t work out, it was absolutely terrible. When I asked to be switched back to Lo Ogestrel, they gave me Cryselle because they said it was basically the same. WRONG. Not only did I have more extreme mood swings, but it did not work with my body the way LO did. And the cherry on top? I broke out like crazy! It didn’t work for me, but that’s been my personal experience."

For Birth Control "Like another user below, I was also on Lo-Ogestrel since I was 17 for cramps and to regulate my period. I was getting it twice a month, and it was so painful. About 3 years ago, my local CVS started carrying only the generic version of it, which is Cryselle. I'm now 24 and have had great experiences with both. My period is 3-4 days long with no cramps. If it didn't come the same day every month, I couldn't even tell when it's coming. My skin has never been better. I honestly had no idea people had such depression and mood swings from this pill. I've never felt any of that. I also lost about 20 pounds while taking Cryselle, not from the pill itself, but I worked out and ate healthy. So, no weight gain."

For Birth Control "This is the worst form of birth control I have ever been on. I gained 10 pounds in a month without changing my diet. I'm normally an anxious person and get hormonal around my period, but this pill intensified everything. I cried almost every day and got angry over stupid things, and I didn't have any anxiety-free moments throughout the day at all on this pill. Terrible headaches and nausea. I just got off of it, so I'm hoping it all goes away soon. I don't recommend this."

For Birth Control "I have been taking this birth control for 5 months now! And ever since I started taking this birth control, I have gotten an odd, abnormal redness to my face, gained 15 pounds, and haven't had anything but spotting for the last 4 months."

For Birth Control "I took Cryselle for almost a year with no problems at all. The only reason I stopped is because my husband and I decided to expand our little family, but I'm almost positive I will get back on it after the baby is born."

For Birth Control "At first, this pill was wonderful. I experienced, after a few months, that I was super depressed and sad over nothing. Mood swings constantly and stomach pains all the time on and off my cycle. I became so sad I started having horrible anxiety and then panic attacks on the regular. I cried one to two times weekly over nothing, and my relationship started to get sour because of the roller coaster moods. Severe headaches and nausea right after I stopped taking the pill for my cycle and cramps so horrible I couldn't stand. I was also so tired and had no sex drive. I was unable to enjoy an orgasm because it took so long for me to have one I would give up. I always had a high sex drive, this caused more sadness and anxiety for me. I went on the website and had every side effect at least once and decided it was time to get off the pill. This isn't how a young 24-year-old should feel. Please read the side effects asap and do not take this pill any longer if you start to have these same side effects."

For Birth Control "I took Cryselle for about a year or two. It was the worst birth control I’ve taken. It made me extremely moody, and I felt angry, to the point that my friends and family could see the difference in my mood. It also made me gain 15 pounds so fast that I now have issues with my knees. I talked to my doctor, and she switched me to Junelle Fe. I love Junelle, and my family told me never to go back to Cryselle. But now I was told Junelle is on back order, and they’re having me take Aurovela. I’m scared to switch since I really like Junelle."

For Birth Control "I was on Cryselle for about 6 years. I had severe fatigue and lack of energy, was physically exhausted and drained no matter how much sleep I got. My hair was falling out like crazy, I had water retention and headaches, I was irritable and moody, and I had an extremely low sex drive. I eat healthy, exercise regularly, and have had my thyroid and blood sugar checked, as well as blood tests for anemia, etc. All came back normal. The fatigue and lack of energy was what really bothered me, and after doing my own research, I discovered this can all be related to my BC. I'm now trying a new pill. Each person is different, so what may work for someone may not work for someone else. The positives were my periods were very light and I did not get pregnant."

For Birth Control "Breakthrough bleeding all month for almost two years, extreme irritability, to the point that I came here to read others' moods when on this drug. Also, the PMS symptoms last all month long. I am only level-headed when it's the week off. No sex drive, bloating, cramping, nausea, fatigue, and really greasy hair. I am going to ask for a new pill. I tried to stay on this pill, but it's bad in every way."

For Birth Control "This pill has made me so dizzy and lightheaded every single day, and given me the worst anxiety attacks! I have never had any health issues or issues with anxiety until I started this BC. I am dizzy and anxious sitting here typing this. It's the worst feeling. And due to the dizziness/lightheaded feeling, it sends my heart into overdrive and it starts pounding, then I get nauseous and have severe anxiety. I am glad I looked up the reviews before going to the ER, thinking I have some major brain issue going on because I have been so dizzy every. single. day. As of last night, I have stopped taking the pill. Pray this feeling goes away in the next few days so I can go back to being normal."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for about 8 years, so I feel I can write a fair review. I started taking birth control in high school because my cycle was so painful and heavy. I had to miss school because of cramps. As soon as I started taking this (the generic version was called something else back then), my symptoms went away. I went from a 7-day heavy, painful period to a 3-4 day light period. I've always had acne, and I can't say this helped tremendously when I was in high school and college, now that I'm in my mid-20s, my acne is gone. I haven't noticed anything related to hormones on this pill. Yes, when my period is about to come, sometimes I'll get a little more emotional than I would during other parts of the month, but that would happen even if you weren't on the pill. The only thing I've noticed is that my libido is higher during the placebo week. I think birth control might kill libido a bit. Overall, if you have terrible period pains, I would recommend this pill. It really saves me every month."

For Birth Control "I love this birth control pill. My period lasts a total of three days and is very light with little cramps. Without the pill, I am a heavy bleeder with severe cramps that make me throw up. This pill is a life saver."

For Birth Control "I just finished the first month of this birth control. After taking Tri-Sprintec for years, I started developing ovarian cysts that would make having sex painful. My doctor suggested switching my birth control to help with the cysts. Well, after 3 weeks of taking Cryselle, my ultrasound showed no cysts, which was great, but my side effects have been rough. I immediately became moody and even paranoid. I felt like everyone was out to get me. I have been very bloated and very gassy. The worst has been the headaches. Especially in the last week of pills, which I just completed, it was daily severe headaches. My doctor switched me to Mircette, and I took the first pill last night. Hopefully, this will be a better experience."
