For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was prescribed this to regulate my low hormones. It made me really nauseous at first, but luckily that went away after the first few weeks. With that being said, it made my hair loss 10 times worse, and my acne is the same or slightly worse as well. I have been on it for almost 2 months, so I am still trying to wait it out, but so far it hasn't been a good experience, and I really wish my hair would stop falling out because I noticed bald spots. My boobs grew a bit, but totally not worth the other side effects. I will update my review if it gets any better, though!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have been on Tri-Lo-Marzia for 3 months for painful periods. The first month was terrible. Constant spotting, terrible mood swings, breast tenderness, anxiety, and bad acne. The second month, all side effects decreased except the acne. My acne worsened with this pill. It is pretty bad currently, but since this pill has shortened and lightened my previously painful periods, I have decided to cope with the acne. It has greatly improved the pain with my periods."

For Acne "This is absolutely horrible. It gave me acne that I cannot get rid of and changed me as a person. I cry constantly, I’m easily irritable, and I’m just not myself anymore. I do not recommend at all."

For Acne "I was on Lo Loestrin but had to be switched to Tri-Lo-Sprintec (have also taken Tri-Lo-Marzia, both of which are supposed to be the generic brands) because apparently no insurance companies cover Lo Lo anymore. I have been experiencing very red, blotchy, and big pimples near my chin, jawline, and cheeks. I am 20 years old and have experienced acne but never to this extent. I thought it was just me and saw a dermatologist, went on Clindamycin and Tretinoin, but those aren't helping. Finally decided it was time to make an appointment with my gyno and try to find something else that works for me. It has not affected my sex drive, but I do experience vaginal dryness at times. I was being told that the acne was from what I eat, but I eat relatively healthy and work out 3-4 times a week. Would not recommend this pill to anyone. Even if they say it is generic for Lo Loestrin, I wouldn't try it, and if you do-don't wait as long as I did to realize that new, persistent acne is most likely from this pill."

For Birth Control "I would not recommend this birth control to anyone, I was on it for almost a year, and the only positive was it kept me from getting pregnant. I had horrible acne a month or two after starting the pill, and it continued throughout my time on the pill. I still had painful cramps and headaches on my period, and it also caused me to gain about 15 pounds within a year. I have been off of it for about 2 months, and I've already lost the weight I gained while on it. The bigger problem is that my first period after the pill was 11 days late, and my second period was 11 days early. I've been on 4 different pills before and never have experienced lasting issues after I went off the pill. Do yourself a favor and try something else."

For Birth Control "Within the first 2 weeks, I had horrible acne around my mouth, constant breast tenderness, and immediate weight gain. This was only the tip of the iceberg. As my time on Tri-Lo-Marzia increased, so did my problems. I have never been as moody as I was on Tri-Lo-Marzia, with the most intense mood swings. The depression I had while on Tri-Lo-Marzia was comparable to the depression I experienced during my parents' divorce, only 5 times worse. My final week on it led me to experience the worst migraine of my life, one that persisted for 4 days straight with no moment of peace. What ultimately led me to stop taking this pill was reaching the lowest point in my life, something I have not considered in many, many years, nonetheless seriously considered. My final night with Tri-Lo-Marzia in my system was a culmination of depression, tears, and anger as I am baffled at how a synthetic hormone could cause such havoc in my life. I took this pill for 1 month and 7 days."

For Birth Control "When I first started taking it, I was fine. I had small breakouts here and there, but after about 4 weeks went by, I started feeling really depressed. I cried over the littlest things. I kept overthinking and worrying about things. Honestly, my mood went from happy to really sad in the matter of minutes. I will not be taking this anymore. I strongly do not recommend this pill, but it might be different for you if you take it because everyone is different. It made me really depressed and just stressed out, and I’m still feeling depressed as of now. I just don’t know what to do about it or even tell people about it. TBH, this is my first time talking about it."

For Birth Control "The first month on this was a breath of relief. I switched over from a 90-day pill that messed up my cycle as well as my mood really badly. However, after my first month, I noticed that I was getting awful acne. Then more symptoms began to show where I would be super down for a week and then back to normal after. My doctor and I miscommunicated two months ago, and I missed one pill pack, so when I started again, it was a bigger mess. I had a solid day where I sat in my room and cried over nothing. This pill was definitely not for me. It was an improvement from my 90-day pill, though I was not changing my emotion every hour."

For Birth Control "This made my periods 100 times more miserable. It gave me excruciating migraines and terrible cramps. Made my period longer and heavier, and I’ve never had such bad acne until I started taking this. Just don’t."

For Birth Control "I went on birth control to help clear up my cystic acne and hopefully get me back to having a normal cycle. So far, I still have cystic acne, boils, 10 lb weight gain, hot flashes, I still have a messed up menstrual cycle and it’s been 3 months on it."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "First birth control pill that has ever made me bleed (spot) for months straight... I’m not sure if I’m not giving it enough time to work, but the bleeding and acne is not what I signed up for!!!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I’ve always had heavy periods that contributed to iron deficiency anemia and lack of energy. Finally decided to let my doctor know that I wanted to be put on a birth control pill (at 30, no less, wish I had done this in my teens), and this Tri-Lo-Marzia is what she put me on. I’ve been on it for over 6 months, and my periods are lighter and shorter. Overall, my quality of life has improved. I still get cramps for maybe two days, but those have never been terrible anyway. My level of (mild) acne has probably stayed about the same. I do think I gained a small amount of weight, especially in my breasts. I don’t think this has been super noticeable to anyone though, just to me. I think maybe my moods have improved a bit, especially since I’m not bleeding as much anymore, and those were always awful times. Otherwise, my moods are about the same. I plan on staying on this pill for a long time."
