For Acne "This pill is the worst. I have constant headaches, depression, major depression. I cry all the time, and I don’t know why. My period was really light for two days, then, it just became really heavy all of a sudden. I’ve lost weight, I don’t have an appetite. I would not recommend anyone to take this pill."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "This is the best birth control I've been on. No weight gain at all. And it doesn't make it hard to lose weight. My boobs have gotten bigger. My skin is so clear I get compliments on it (I used to have bad acne). And most importantly, no babies. I have sex with my SO without condoms, so I know it works. I know exactly when my period will come every month. That's a relief because I used to get my period anywhere from every 2 to 9 months apart. Only side effects are occasional nausea on the first week of each pack. And random headaches, but that's not often."

For Birth Control "I have been on Sprintec for a year and a half. I have been on one other birth control previous to this. But with Sprintec, I can always count on my period being the same time every month down to the day. It is also a very mild period, and my cramps are about the same as they were. I also have a clear complexion. My complaints with this birth control would have to be the constant headaches, and my sex drive has decreased quite a bit. I have also been sleep deprived at night and excessively sleeping during the day. My boyfriend also says that he has seen a difference in my mood since I have started this particular birth control."

For Birth Control "I've only been on this for two weeks, but I've got to say, I haven't been disappointed at all. My acne has gotten better, and my personality hasn't changed at all, thankfully, and my period was lighter and shorter. I did experience some nausea and headaches, but they went away after a few days. I can't comment on how well it prevents pregnancies yet, though! After reading horror stories about this pill, I'm glad that it works for me and my body. I'd recommend it to anyone."

For Birth Control "I was cautious in the beginning to not read women's reviews of Tri-Sprintec because I wanted to begin the experience with a fresh mind. I've only been on Tri-Sprintec for two months (just beginning pack #3), and although my doctor said it could take up to 3 packs to 'adjust,' I am not continuing with these synthetic hormones. I began taking this pill for a heavy period and cramps-neither were relieved. In fact, I was spotting for the week before my periods and a little after, too. I never get headaches, and on this pill, I had a consistent dull throbbing pain in my head. I lost my appetite for weeks at the beginning. The worst side effect is my moods-I feel completely flat. As someone who typically is energized and excited (sometimes anxious too) about life, this pill was not for me. It stunted my personality. I threw my pack away today, and I will continue seeking alternative solutions to painful periods because I'd rather have painful periods than feel this emotional numbness."

For Birth Control "I'm on my fourth month of Tri-Sprintec, and things are looking up!! The first month was definitely pretty torturous, I had a headache pretty much every day, and my breasts hurt so much that it hurt to walk too fast. My period came as scheduled, and I decided to keep on it. The second and third months were a breeze. Breast pain vanished, and my headaches are back to the frequency they were without Tri-Sprintec. This is definitely a pill for people that do not already have mood swings or heavy periods. I have noticed absolutely no changes to my mood, even during my bleeding week, and in general nothing has changed in my day-to-day besides dismissing a birth control alarm every morning. My skin has cleared up and is glowy, but I *think* I have noticed a larger loss in hair, like while washing or brushing it. Otherwise, a very good fit for me, someone who is very chill, never had mood swings, and doesn't have difficult periods. I just had to take away one star for that awful first month!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "It's effective in the sense that it has done its job well, it prevented pregnancy, but I absolutely hate it. I switched over from Tricyclen due to its cost, but honestly, I'm planning on switching back. Severe cramps, headaches, and mood swings galore. The worst part of it all? I have been in my period for THREE WEEKS. It's ridiculous, I've never had issues with any other birth control. My regular period usually lasted 4 days maximum, compare that to constant bleeding for almost a month now. No thanks. Do not recommend this for anyone."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "So my gyno put me on this birth control pill for my irregular periods. I’m about to start month 3, and I’m impressed! At first, I was VERY scared to try the pill because of the negative reviews, but I gave it a shot and monitored my lifestyle closely. My first 3 weeks on the pill weren’t terrible, but I did experience a couple of negative but minor side effects. I had a couple of nights where I felt nauseous after taking the pill, and on a few occasions a headache, but nothing I couldn’t handle. I noticed I had some weight gain in my waistline, so I watched my food intake and upped my workouts slightly, and that took care of it. I’ve stayed at 133 lbs. I’m at month 3, and everything is totally normal! No depression, no insomnia, and no weight gain (thank goodness), and it’s cleared up my face! I personally love this pill, but I 100% agree that every woman may have different reactions. Also, it’s SO affordable, and that’s a big plus because I don’t have insurance."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I began taking this b/c 2 years ago because I was having a 10-day-long period every other week. The pill worked perfectly for regulating my hormones so that I would have a normal (4-5 day long) period once a month. I didn't have headaches, mood swings, weight gain, or any odd side effects. The only downside is my insurance began charging $50 a month for it, so I had to stop using it and now have to switch. And now that I have stopped taking it, my acne on my face, back, and chest has returned."

For Birth Control "I didn't even realize everything I was experiencing was caused by the Femynor pill until I made a doctor's appointment to discuss random changes in my body and remembered I started taking this pill 4 months ago. (Somewhere in between, I got mad at my boyfriend and broke up with him - not sure if it's related.) It took about a month or two for it to regulate my period, and it did a good job doing that. My period is now super short and the lightest it has ever been, BUT: I have terrible headaches, to the point of feeling weak and nauseous. I've been getting a pimple here and there, but I've never had acne in my life. I've also been super tired and lost all energy. And the worst part, crazy weight gain!!! I've always been very thin (used to try very hard to gain weight in my teenage years and early twenties), and suddenly my clothes don't fit and I'm visibly bigger, and that's with me making a conscious effort to eat less and count my calories. Also, absolutely no sex drive. Getting off of this ASAP!"

For Birth Control "I had taken Xulane (patch) for a year and wanted to try something different, so my doctor prescribed me this pill. Everything was fine for the first 2 weeks, but at the start of the third week, I ended up passing out for the first time in my life. My anxiety before this pill was manageable, and I didn't need medication to function. At the third-week point, I started having anxiety every day that felt out of control, I couldn't get ahold of myself and had severe chills, tinnitus, headaches, numbness in my hands, and depressive thoughts. If you have any mental health issues, no matter how small, I would choose another pill. Please don't suffer the way I have."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I'm 21 and got on Tri-Sprintec due to not having a period and PCOS. First day taking it, just felt mild nausea. Second day, I had body aches (as if I had a cold), weakness, bad nausea (but never threw up), headaches, and was not myself. Called to see if I could try a different birth control. The nurse just told me to stop taking it."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Trinessa by my doctor in September of 2015 and have been taking it ever since. This is the only form of birth control that I have been on, which is why I gave it 9/10. It works very well. Prior to taking Trinessa, I had some acne, but ever since, I have clear skin and rarely ever get a pimple. I had one minor headache when I first began taking this medicine, but have not had one since. Make sure that you eat before or immediately after taking the pill, otherwise, you will feel nauseous. My periods are much lighter, and cramps are almost nonexistent. I definitely recommend this as a birth control."

For Birth Control "I found Tri-Previfem to be an effective contraceptive for my boyfriend and me; however, I have recently started getting sudden and severe headaches, and in some cases, body aches. I can't leave my room or function when these happen, so I usually just sleep. It's really hard being a college student who needs to get work done when I get sudden severe headaches. On the bright side, I've noticed no weight gain, and my skin cleared up. My periods also became regular."

For Birth Control "I've been on it now for a month, and I've been very moody, angry, and just wanting to be by myself. I've gained 5 extra pounds, but as far as acne goes, it's been clear. I've been getting really bad headaches and wanting to throw up after I eat. It seems like I've gotten all the side effects."

For Birth Control "This is my second week on this birth control, switching from the Paragard IUD. The pros about this brand are that I don’t have any mood swings (which were really terrible on other birth control methods), my skin looks flawless, and I’ve lost a few pounds (mostly from lack of appetite due to headache and nausea symptoms). I’ve also noticed a decrease in vaginal discharge that I always used to have. The cons are definitely the intense headaches that are debilitating on some days. A lot of fatigue, nausea, and lack of appetite symptoms. The side effect that concerns me the most is the chest discomfort. It almost feels like I’m short of breath with the occasional increased heart rate. It also feels like bad heartburn. It’s hard to explain. I’m going to go through the pack and see how I feel. Hopefully, these symptoms are just from my body adjusting to the pills. We will see."

For Birth Control "I've been taking this birth control for about 3 months now, and my side effects are horrible! When taking it at night, it makes me feel a little nauseous, but I continued thinking it would pass. So then, after not liking the way it made me feel, I took it off and on (missed a couple of days). Well, now I have completely stopped because of the dizziness, pain in my lower right arm, nausea, and headaches. My dizziness came mostly during the night and would wake me from my sleep. This change from Tri Nessa to Tri Sprintec is the worst thing to happen to me! I have called my doctor for a change, I can't do this medication, and I've had to even stay home from work because of these symptoms."

For Birth Control "I haven’t been on this medication for a long time, but so far it’s been fairly okay! I made a pro and con list of symptoms. Pros: • no babies • larger but not painful breasts • improved overall mood. (I was always very irritable and snappy, but this mellowed me out) • lost a little weight. (Could be from lack of appetite) Cons: • dull headache for a few days in a row after the 2nd pill • acne slightly became worse (should clear up) • decreasing appetite extremely (not exactly a con for me, but for some maybe) • I got a mild yeast infection that was mixed with a small, small amount of breakthrough bleeding. I’ll come back once I’ve been on it longer, but overall I like it."

For Birth Control "Although this medicine prevented pregnancy, I've had two pregnancy scares in 6 months due to the side effects of this pill. Nausea, exhaustion to the point of leaving work to nap, swollen breasts and nipples, bloating, cramping two weeks before the period and still during the period, headaches, waking up sweaty at night, white discharge, and heartburn. All the symptoms of pregnancy, but my period came at the exact time it always does, and my cramps are normal. Please be cautious. I told my coworker that I would be willing to stop having sex until I was married if this meant not having these scares and feeling miserable on this medicine."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Trinessa for about 2 and a half months. The first week upon taking it, I had severe abdominal pain and headaches. I was hungry all the time, but due to the warning that I would have increased cravings, I controlled it rather well. It seemed to get better throughout the month, my face was clearing up, I had energy again, but I still got minor to severe pains on a regular basis. My period came after three days of being on the inactive pills and lasted 4 days. My cramps improved drastically, and I was still hormonal, just less. I started back on the pills again, and the first day I experienced extreme nausea and vomited. The nausea has continued to follow me for the past weeks, now I am looking into the NuvaRing."

For Birth Control "As a birth control, this is very effective. However, after being on it for 11 months, the side effects did a complete 180 on me for the worse. One day, I woke up and felt so extremely depressed, and from that point on, my whole summer spiraled downwards. I experienced hellish anxiety, fatigue, confusion, headaches and migraines, major depression, and suicidal thoughts, and the list could go on forever. I have always been mentally and physically healthy, so experiencing such a terrible summer was a life-changing experience. I have been 3 months clean from that poison, and I do not recommend anyone to take it. It was like feeding the devil into my soul. Please, please, please do not take this."

For Birth Control "I began taking this pill in May, after having my second child. The nurse at the clinic told me to wait at least three months, as the symptoms would subside. They didn't. I have experienced irregular bleeding, heavier than normal bleeding, cramping, my skin looks worse than it ever has, the bloating is terrible - I have gained 15 pounds since starting this pill, I've had more headaches, severe fatigue, and have been just downright moody. It has done the job of preventing pregnancy, but then again it has given me the sex drive of an elderly woman. Would not recommend."

For Birth Control "I tried it for two months, and since day one, I suffered from major mood swings and low energy. I had frequent headaches and just felt depressed. I never felt like myself. But I just thought I had to put up with it so my body could get used to it, but I couldn't handle it by month two. Just pay attention to how you feel. Nonetheless, I switched to another birth control pill and feel great."

For Acne "Well, my experience with Tri-Sprintec: I’ve been on it for 3 weeks now, almost on my second pack. I switched from Tri-Previfem to this. This birth control gives me horrible side effects. The first two weeks, I was nauseous all the time and having headaches all the time. This birth control is stronger because I am now growing a linea nigra, believe that’s the name. But on the good side, my period is not heavy. I’ve been having unprotected sex, and so far, so good. Other than the side effects, it’s good. This, but I’m on birth control for my skin."

For Ovarian Cysts "So I've been taking Sprintec for a month now due to different insurance. And I've had two periods within one month, I am very emotionally unstable. My ankles are swelling, I have headaches, and my sex drive is decreasing. I'm always sleepy, I never want to get up for work. My cervix was really hard and low on my period. And this has never happened before, this pill is horrible for me! I can't speak for everyone."
