For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I’ve been on Sprintec for about 6 years now, and I would never choose anything different. I’ve been on 4 different types of the pill previously, and this one works wonderfully for me. My breasts did grow a whole cup, my periods are short and regular, and I haven’t had acne my whole adult life because of Sprintec. No more mood swings either! Kinda sad when I’m going to have to go off of it eventually!"

For Birth Control "I was on and off this BC for a total of 4 months, and in those 4 months, I broke out on my right jawline and cheek area and had huge acne cysts; I also cramped quite a bit throughout the month. When I told my doctor, she dismissed everything and said to give it time, but I just felt this was too strong of hormones for my body, so I stopped on my own. Within a month, my acne altogether stopped, but the cramping still goes on; I'm on month 2 of hoping my body will reset from this awful drug. Ladies, if your body is off with this, please listen to it; doctors will always downplay side effect symptoms, and I'm so tired of that."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "My whole life I’ve had irregular periods, and without having some guidance, I didn’t seek medical help until now because I had abnormal bleeding (I bled for 2 months straight). My doctor told me to take Estarylla for the next 3 months to see how it would affect my flow. Once I started taking it, it immediately helped slow down and stop my flow. 2 weeks later, my period came back, but I expected it to because the birth control is to regulate my period. I had my period for way longer than I’ve ever had it (typically have it for 5 days, and then I’m good, but this time it lasted a week and a half). Then I got a 4-day break, and my period came back AGAIN. Called my doctor to ask what to do, and all I was told was this is normal. This medication also gives really bad gas and stomach pains, acne, and mood swings. DO NOT RECOMMEND TAKING."

For Birth Control "This pill wasn’t as bad for me as for some people, it seems. I’ve been using the pill for a little over 2 months and do sometimes wake up feeling a bit drained of energy, but nothing that stops me from living my normal day-to-day life. I did start to get lots of acne on my back and chest at first, but it is now clearing up nicely. Lastly, I have not noticed weight gain at all, which is very nice since I was worried about that. Everyone has different experiences with birth control, so don’t let any of these reviews scare you if you are starting it or are about to!"

For Birth Control "I am 28 years old. I have never felt any side effects from any birth control I have ever taken. My doctor, however, switched me to this one because of the price, I assume. Since I began taking it a month ago, I have been extremely emotional, crying when I'm happy, crying when I am sad. My mood swings are having an effect on my relationship, my kids and husband, as I am less patient and more tired. My face is also breaking out, which normally only happens when I am PMSing the week before my period. I called my doctor today to switch me off of this. I am only stating my experience to reassure others if having the same side effects that it is not you coming down with depression. It is only the pill."

For Birth Control "I was originally on a different pill, but my insurance wouldn’t cover the name brand, so I was switched to Mono-Linyah. The first month I took this, I suffered from painful cramps and mood swings. I attributed these to switching birth control, and after the first month, they went away. I continued using this pill for a year with little side effects and a lighter, shorter period, yay! But after a year, all the benefits stopped. My acne has exploded! My hair is thinning and falling out. I bleed randomly between periods, and during my regular period, I experience horrible cramps and really heavy bleeding. I started experiencing abnormal levels of anxiety and panic attacks, and I slipped into a really dark depressive state for 2-3 months. The only reason I’m still taking this pill is because it does its job in the sense that it prevents pregnancy. I will be seeing a doctor soon to switch."

For Birth Control "I took Trinessa for a year and had no negative side effects, but I decided to try a few other birth control pills in an attempt to have a shorter period. Every single one of them left me moody, depressed, and my sex drive was completely non-existent. Trinessa is the only birth control I've been able to find that both helps with acne and doesn't destroy my sex drive. However, on the last week of active pills, my breasts usually feel heavy and sore, and I will break out a little more than the rest of the month."

For Birth Control "I've been on Sprintec for almost 3 years now (I'm 19), and I love it! I've never tried anything else, but this seems to work perfectly. I started taking it for acne, which it does help with, but no one's skin will ever be perfect. I still have small breakouts. I've never been pregnant, so it definitely works for its intended purposes! I've never gained weight on Sprintec. My breasts have never been really swollen or painful from my pills like some people experience (although I'd be alright with them growing a size) haha. I do think they impact your sex drive, though. I find it difficult to become 'naturally' ready for sex. I always have to use lubricants. Other than that, I recommend Sprintec!!"

For Birth Control "Was switched to Mili from Sprintec with no warning. Have been on it a month and I’ve been experiencing stomach issues and horrible acne on my chin. I’ve never had acne in my life, and this acne is painful. I am calling my doctor to be switched back immediately to switch back. Do not take this birth control!"

For Birth Control "Honestly, it's awful. I was unable to get Sprintec, which I've been on for 13 years, and I ended up getting Mili and was told it was the same. It is NOT! I want to cry all the time, I have to force myself to eat because I have no appetite, and my stomach doesn't feel happy. I've always had anxiety, but this has brought it up a whole level. I'm also breaking out like crazy. I'm trying to resolve my prescription because if I don't take my pills, I get cysts, so I'm in a lose/lose situation. This is a terrible pill."

For Birth Control "I started taking Mili after my pharmacy said they had run out of my usual Sprintec. Let me tell you... irregular periods, hormonal outbursts, acne, bloating, irregular periods, inability to sleep. I couldn't finish the final pack because I was miserable. The pharmacist claimed this was the same pill, but it's absolutely not. I ended up having to call my doctor, the pharmacy, and the insurance company to make sure that from now on, I get Sprintec every month, even if it means special ordering it. I will never ever use Mili again."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was on this for 2 years, stopped it because I had been broken up with (didn't want babies). I no longer had a need for it. After stopping this, I ended up bleeding for 2 weeks at a time. Once a month, I had 1 week where I wasn't on my period, and I would soak an overnight pad in less than an hour. I had extreme cramps, skipped uni because I would have to go to the bathroom every 30 minutes to change my tampon and pad. I had fainting spells, sleeping in school because I couldn't stay awake. I came home from school at 4, slept until the next morning every day (due to the amount of blood loss). This birth control permanently ruined my natural mental cycle. I NEVER had this problem. I could not include the rest of my experience because only 1000 characters are allowed. I ended up in the hospital for 4 days, 2 blood transfusions, and heart failure. There was also cystic hormonal acne, suicidal thoughts, and depression. I can't stop it now, or else I would end up risking my life again because it permanently messed up my reproductive organs."

For Birth Control "I'm so glad I decided to Google this medication and found these reviews. I thought I was going NUTS! My hormones are out of control on this medication. Like others, my pharmacy switched me to Estarylla from Sprintec. I was fine on the Sprintec, but on this stuff - I've had HORRIBLE mood swings, my acne is out of control, spotting, nausea, weight gain, headaches. I thought I was pregnant! I'll be switching as soon as I can."

For Acne "For a few months on Tri-Sprintec, everything was fine, and then my acne got worse, now I have the worst acne of my life. I never even had pustules when I was in high school. Ironically, I clear up during my period, suggesting that the hormones in these did the complete opposite effect of what I had intended."

For Birth Control "I've finished 3 packs of this pill. I came off of Depo Provera... endless spotting, and I got the worst acne of my life. So, I switched to TriNessa 3 months after Depo. Things are back to normal, but even better than when I was on no birth control. With each pack, I've noticed more improvement in skin, length of period, and my breasts have become rounder. I can't say I am ecstatic about it yet, but maybe I need to be on it longer. Period is only a little lighter, but is definitely shorter. Went from 7 to 4 days. Cramps are only a little better. Skin is not nearly as clear as it was before Depo, but on its way!"

For Acne "This is my 4th month on TriNessa. My doctor put me on it to help with my heavy and irregular periods as well as my acne. The first 2 months didn't seem to have any effect on me other than make me break out. In fact, this first period I had on this medicine seemed longer (around 7 days) and more painful than ever before. I even experienced a bit of sickness around the first week. But I kept taking it, and it has finally started clearing up my acne, and the last period I had was only 4 days with minimal cramping. This birth control is pretty effective for me, and it's finally doing its job. The point is: give it time to work."

For Acne "I guess everyone’s experience is way different. Everyone seems to have had a bad experience with Mono-Linyah, but for me, I, on the other hand, have been on this BC for the past 5 years, and it has done wonders. I have never gotten pregnant, and I use this for acne. I had really bad acne as a teen, and this was able to control my acne and my oily face. Of course, I get a breakout here and there when I’m about to start my period, but nothing major. I then got off of Mono-Linyah for about 4 months, and my oily face came back, and I broke out like crazy. I just got back on it because this was the only medication able to help with my acne."

For Acne "Started taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen for acne a month ago. During the time of the month, it caused me to break out in places I never have before and also caused me to have large cystic acne on my chin and jawline. They were all in clusters and on the right side of my face. The doctor says it will get worse before it gets better, but honestly, I don't know what to do. Everybody is different, and their body reacts differently, but I am ready to give up, tbh."

For Ovarian Cysts "I hate to write a review this awful, but I have to. People should know how life-altering this pill is. I started taking Estarylla a week ago and had to throw them in the trash. If you have, or have ever had, any bouts with anxiety or depression, do not even look at this pill. I don’t remember a time I have felt so low and lethargic, and then let’s not forget the cystic acne that popped up on my jaw and chin. If it works for you, that’s great, but it has torn me up!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Tri-Sprintec for 6 months now. The first three months were awful, but now I really love my birth control. At first, I was having awful mood swings, depression, and random crying spells. I stuck with the pill, and then after getting married in December, all my bad symptoms subsided. My acne has gone away, and I’ve never had skin this clear! My periods are very manageable, and I can control my period if I want to. So far, no pregnancy, but I’m super religious about taking my pills on time and try to use backup prevention when on antibiotics. I completely sympathize with all the ladies who have put reviews on here, but thankfully my symptoms have gone away, and I’m going to stick to this pill. Best wishes!"

For Birth Control "I really like this birth control! It’s my first time ever using any type of birth control. In the early months, I did experience some pretty bad breakouts. They would be large red bumps that weren’t pimples but right under the skin. Once that bump would go away, another bump would pop up. This went on for a month or so. Now my skin is flawless, I would totally recommend this birth control. You do have to give it some time to regulate with your body! I often have sex while on this birth control and have not experienced any pregnancy scares. My period cramps are less intense but still there, along with my period. I don’t experience any super bad mood swings. I have been able to lose weight with the help of diet and exercise while taking this birth control."

For Birth Control "If I had rated it during my first 1-3 months, it most likely would have been a 3 or 4 at best. I had weight gain, increased acne, moodiness, and bloating, oh, the bloating! I stuck with it, and I am really happy I did. Over the last six months, I’ve dropped the weight, my skin has cleared, and although I still get a little moody before my period, I think that’s pretty normal whether on BCPs or not. I take it religiously, and it is the only form of birth control I use in my committed relationship. I have had no pregnancy scares. Bonus: FREE on my insurance, which is truly a blessing because I was paying $150 a month for Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (which was a horror story for me). If this pill gives you problems in the beginning, consider waiting them out, because for me, it truly did get better each month."

For Birth Control "After reading all of the negative comments for this pill, I was hesitant to start it. I have had an awesome experience, though. I have taken Gianvi, Ocella, and Ortho Lo before, and they all made me either extremely moody or constantly hungry, but this pill has actually made me less hungry, has helped with the small amount of acne I have, and it has done its job well as far as preventing pregnancy goes. I am satisfied with this pill."
