For Birth Control "For me, I’ve been on Zovia starting 7 months today. I’ve had pretty bad side effects, but I don’t completely blame it on the pill itself. It’s helped clear my acne, and I have oily skin, so it didn’t dry it out. I've lost weight (could be from other things, though), and my hips have gotten wider but losing weight. The side effects I had were nausea, headaches, and other regular symptoms, although I’m used to them since they’re hereditary for my family, and I’ve always had really bad symptoms on my period. I got prescribed this for my periods because of how bad they were, and they’ve reduced bleeding a lot. I only have little bleeding and spotting now. I’m just nervous because I’ve never really been sexually active, and I’m not sure how good this is going to work for that reason."

For Birth Control "I've been using Zovia for almost four months now, and so far I think it's been wonderful, besides a few things. This was my first time ever trying birth control, and I wasn't too sure about it. When I first started Zovia, my first month was great, no side effects or anything. Then my second month came, and that's when everything went downhill. I started to get bad cramps, was very depressed, and was always throwing up. Also, my periods have actually gotten heavier and still last a full week. To this day, I still throw up every month one day out of my second or third week before my period. I still experience some depression, but other than that, my cramps and everything else have gone away."

For Birth Control "I started this birth control pill 12 days ago. I'm 18 years old and take it for bad cramps and excessive bleeding. Ever since I started it, I've had extremely debilitating nausea, anxiety, and loss of appetite. I stopped taking it yesterday in hopes of the terrible nausea ending. The nausea spread from my shoulders to the bottom of my sternum. I had anxiety attacks for no reason. I would not recommend this medication."

For Birth Control "I started my period in 5th grade in August 2005 and was on it every. single. day. With no breaks at all, some days were so heavy that I couldn't leave the toilet. If I took a bath, the moment I got in the water was pure red, and many years later, I found out that my period was literally, literally so bad for me by causing severe anemia. I didn't start birth control until 7th grade, and at that time, I was on the Necon tabs, which were somewhat helpful, though they took about 2 and a half years to finally give me an actual break from bleeding instead of just lessening the flow. I ended up having to take Zovia when my insurance stopped covering the Necon tabs. Unfortunately, I was not aware of the change, they didn't contact me or my doctor before changing my prescription. I only took the Zovia for a month in January of 2018, and I haven't had a natural period at all in the past 2 years. I have to take progesterone to start my period because I am now at serious risk of cervical cancer due to my lack of period from this drug."

"While taking this pill, I became an emotional wreck, my face broke out, had spotting between periods, cramps got worse, and developed fibroids. The list goes on."

For Birth Control "This is the best birth control I have ever taken, but I am lately having problems finding it at some stores. The generic they had given me is terrible, and I have terrible side effects!"

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for nine years, and I have loved it! I never have acne, and I've never had any hormonal side effects. My periods only last one to three days, and they're very light."

For Birth Control "I took Zovia for one month. After one week of being on the medication, I felt awful. I was getting headaches and nausea. On top of that, I had nonstop cravings. I had to go off of it!"

For Birth Control "Was on Zovia 1/35 for 7 years, and the experience was great, and that rating would have been a 10. However, the manufacturer used to be Watson (pink packet), but now it is manufactured by Mayne (blue packet), which I give a 3 rating. I only took the Zovia pills manufactured by Mayne for 5 days. I stopped taking them because I started to get acne, and each day I was getting more pimples. I am not acne-prone, and the previous Zovia pills by Watson did not break me out. Now I am on Kelnor, which is supposed to be similar to Zovia (both are generic for Demulen), however, now my periods last about 8 days, and I get small bumps on my face that clear up for a few days then reappear in different locations. So Kelnor is rated a 6."
