For Dry Skin "I have used Blistex for years and never had a problem. I tried the Orange Mango Blast and ended up having to go to a dermatologist because it just kept getting worse. I had no idea what had caused it, but when I started using the lip balm again about a month later, I had the same issue: swollen, itchy, burning lips. I will never use this again, and it should be taken off the market!"

For Dry Skin "My daughter used the orange mango smoothie lip balm last night, and her lips are twice their normal size. They are itchy and painful. She has either had an allergic reaction, or there is something seriously wrong with this product - having just now read all of these comments about allergic reactions. Blistex needs to pull these off the shelf and investigate what ingredient they used that is causing so many reactions. Don’t use this product."

For Dry Skin "Within minutes of using the strawberry coconut Blistex lip balm, my lips were itching and starting to swell. Hours later, they are puffed up and burning. Really painful. With so many negative reviews, this product should be pulled from shelves."

For Dry Skin "Last night I used the Raspberry Lemonade Blistex as a chapstick, and when I woke up the next morning, my lips felt very itchy. There were bumps on my lips, and it was red. I had a rash like it last year, but I realized it wasn't the same thing. I took Claritin, hoping to make it better because everyone says to use an antihistamine. I hope this helps!!!"

For Dry Skin "Used orange mango SPF 15 Blistex, and it made my lips red, swollen, itchy, and a burning sensation. Felt like I had Botox or something, lips were bigger than normal. And all I wanted was to prevent dry, chapped lips, instead, I got Botox-looking lips. Going on day 3, and they’re still the same! Horrible product! I didn’t expect this outcome! DO NOT BUY! Shame on Blistex for not fully researching the effects of this product!"

For Dry Skin "I purchased the Blistex strawberry coconut lip smoothies as a part of a 3-pack. After using it, my lips turned bright red, burned, are hot to touch, itchy, and very swollen. I’ve put ice on them, but it’s been two days and hasn’t gotten any better. The other scents/flavors in the pack didn’t give me this reaction. I really think there is something wrong because this is the second time this happened after using the strawberry one."

For Dry Skin "So I ran out of my normal chapstick, and so I grabbed this one because I figured it's medicated, so it must be good, and after using it for a few days, my lips got SUPER swollen and red and itchy and burning and very, very painful. It's been a few days, and the symptoms haven't gone down at all. I am considering calling my doctor. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT."

For Dry Skin "I used this chapstick, and within hours, I woke up to tingling, burning, itching lips. And they've been like this for a week now. I do not recommend. I used the strawberry coconut fruit smooth Blistex."

"I wish I had read or heard about these reviews before I made the mistake of purchasing some Blistex. 15 minutes after using, my lips were itchy and red. I woke up with them super swollen and burning, which lasted for well over 24 hours. It hurt!"

For Dry Skin "I used the raspberry lemonade Blistex, and it has my lips itchy, burning, and blistering. I have just figured out that this is what's causing this reaction, as I have had it at least 5 times this year. I have been thinking it's something I ate."

For Dry Skin "I have been using Blistex Mango Blast for years. I went to use it again one night (about 6 weeks ago) after not using it for a month or so. My lips became itchy, inflamed, and blistered. It took a couple of weeks to resolve. I opened a brand new one and tried it again, thinking that the other one may have been expired or contaminated. The blisters, rash, peeling, itching, and burning on my lips are even worse. It’s been a week, and my lips are still oozing and bleeding. I’m never using that again!"

For Dry Skin "My lips swelled so badly using Blistex Orange Mango Blast lip balm, and I had no idea what it was. It lasted nearly 6 weeks, and I finally went to the dermatologist, theorizing that it was because I got some of my Retin-A cream on my lips. She prescribed a steroid cream, which I used for 2 weeks, along with a different lip balm. All was well for a month, then I used the Blistex Orange Mango Blast again, and within 2 hours, my lips were swollen, red, and itchy again. I've used Blistex my whole life and don't know what this could be. A new ingredient or sensitivity? It's terrible and won't use again."

For Dry Skin "Left my Carmex at home, so I picked up some Blistex medicated lip balm. Within an hour of applying, my lips were drier than when I applied, they itched, were red, and swollen. Went to the doctor, turned out I got a chemical burn from the product. All I could do was apply aloe vera and burn gel. Took a few weeks, and now I'm left with scarring around my lips."

For Dry Skin "A couple of weeks ago, I used a brand new Blistex Fruit Smoothies Strawberry Coconut chapstick. I noticed that my lips started to swell and become scaly, red, and bumpy. I didn’t know what it was, so I went to the pharmacist, who told me it was an allergic reaction. It looked like I had red bumps all around the outer ring as if I had lip injections. It finally calmed down with antihistamines after several days. Then last week, I used the Blistex again, and my lips literally doubled in size and were burning, itching, scaly, and bumpy within hours. I even had difficulty breathing and a tingly throat. I took antihistamines and immediately phoned the doctor. The only change I had was the Blistex, so I went online and found dozens of other similar experiences with this horrible product. I cannot understand how this is on the market, especially since reactions can become worse over time. Absolutely terrible product."

For Dry Skin "I’ve never had a chapstick that I didn't like before, but then I tried Blistex. Absolutely horrible. Gave me swelling, itching, and redness after a light usage. I can’t imagine how horrible it would be if you put a decent amount on your lips. Holy moly, no. NEVER BUY BLISTEX! Wish I could rate it a zero or worse, 1 star gives more justice to the product than it deserves."

For Dry Skin "2 times now. Each time, had washed face and used toner (different toner and soap each time, and a moisturizer used for years). I avoided the area from nose to chin around lips with toner. Applied the chapstick as moisturizer. Within an hour of applying Strawberry Coconut Smoothie, my lips burned as if I had eaten something spicy. By 4 hours, lips swollen, corners starting to split, redness 1/4 inch around lips. Each time, at the start of irritation, rinsed every couple of hours, lips under cool water from faucet. 2nd day: blisters around inside of lips and they were swollen and burning, dry. The first time, used a mix of refrigerated honey, snail mucin, and aloe vera in a compress of medical gauze - then as dressing as needed to keep lips from drying. Day 3: swollen, burning, skin breaking and raw around edges. Rinsing and plain Aquaphor gel. Antihistamine not helping. Bumps and itching under bottom lip to where chin starts."

For Dry Skin "I had a bad allergic reaction to this. I used the Blistex Raspberry Lemonade lip balm, and instantly my lips began itching. The next day, I woke up with swollen, bumpy, itchy lips, chin, and neck. My airways also started to close. Check the ingredients on this before using."
