For Dry Skin "I bought this, and within 15-20 minutes, my lips were burning and red, swollen blisters. Could barely eat dinner without pain. I haven’t used it since. More than a month later, I still have dark scarring in the corners of my mouth."

For Dry Skin "2 times now. Each time, had washed face and used toner (different toner and soap each time, and a moisturizer used for years). I avoided the area from nose to chin around lips with toner. Applied the chapstick as moisturizer. Within an hour of applying Strawberry Coconut Smoothie, my lips burned as if I had eaten something spicy. By 4 hours, lips swollen, corners starting to split, redness 1/4 inch around lips. Each time, at the start of irritation, rinsed every couple of hours, lips under cool water from faucet. 2nd day: blisters around inside of lips and they were swollen and burning, dry. The first time, used a mix of refrigerated honey, snail mucin, and aloe vera in a compress of medical gauze - then as dressing as needed to keep lips from drying. Day 3: swollen, burning, skin breaking and raw around edges. Rinsing and plain Aquaphor gel. Antihistamine not helping. Bumps and itching under bottom lip to where chin starts."

For Dry Skin "I've been using Blistex products like the Medicated Lip Balm, Lip Vibrance, and Raspberry Lemonade Blast for about 2 years now, and recently my lips are getting a burning, irritated, dry, and chapped feeling. I saw the reviews here and decided to do some research on what's causing it so other people can avoid them. I found a website listing the ingredients and searched up which of the ingredients were causing it, and there are 6 ingredients. First listed was artificial or natural flavoring, which could cause an allergic reaction for some people. The second ingredient was phenoxyethanol, which is a preservative that could cause irritation, particularly after prolonged usage. The third ingredient was saccharin, which is a sweetener that can dry out lips. Alumina is generally considered safe, but in rare cases may cause or contribute to dryness. The last 2 ingredients are the ones used for sun protectant: titanium dioxide and silica, which are not usually irritating but can be drying in some formulations."

For Dry Skin "My sister and I always use Blistex medicated lip ointment for years and years, and about two months ago my sister's lips became swollen and she had a burning sensation. A few days ago, I bought a new tube, and the same thing happened to me. I think you have a batch with too much medication in it."

For Dry Skin "Only used it 2 days, and my lips are burned, swollen, and feel raw, making eating and drinking hard to do."
For Dry Skin "A couple of weeks ago, I used a brand new Blistex Fruit Smoothies Strawberry Coconut chapstick. I noticed that my lips started to swell and become scaly, red, and bumpy. I didn’t know what it was, so I went to the pharmacist, who told me it was an allergic reaction. It looked like I had red bumps all around the outer ring as if I had lip injections. It finally calmed down with antihistamines after several days. Then last week, I used the Blistex again, and my lips literally doubled in size and were burning, itching, scaly, and bumpy within hours. I even had difficulty breathing and a tingly throat. I took antihistamines and immediately phoned the doctor. The only change I had was the Blistex, so I went online and found dozens of other similar experiences with this horrible product. I cannot understand how this is on the market, especially since reactions can become worse over time. Absolutely terrible product."
