For Atrial Fibrillation "I ended up in the ER with A-fib 120+ beats per minute for 3+ hours. Started Multaq the next day. Six weeks later, I had a 10-hour episode. I also experience gastro problems and hot flashes to the tune of $700 per month. Call into cardiologist...no response."

For Atrial Fibrillation "Had 3 A-fib episodes, usually go 6 months between episodes. Now finally a drug I can tolerate, except it does give me a bad stomach. Hope that comes around. Was not able to take other drugs. VA pays for meds, otherwise, I probably would not pay the $500. Every 3 months, it costs. Someone needs to get this pricing down. 8 stars because EXPENSIVE."

For Atrial Fibrillation "I was recently diagnosed with both atrial flutter and AFIB. I have to come off the drug after the 8th dose (4th day) due to severe side effects that progressively got worse each day. My hands and feet swelled, nausea, diarrhea, pounding headaches, foggy, dizzy, loss of memory. My EP also prescribed Ranolazine (RANEXA EQ) 500 mg/2x a day. I stopped taking both drugs yesterday and started taking Flecainide (Tambacor EQ) 100 mg/2x a day."

For Atrial Fibrillation "Had AFIB very mild on occasion, did not realize what it was - hardly noticed. Collapsed right next to the fire rescue station - I went down in the grass. Called 911, told dispatch who I was and where I was, and I said, just tell paramedics I am 'Chili Rich,' they'll know who I am since I make them chili. Was in bad fibrillation and flutter - it took me lights and siren to the hospital. In the hospital for 4 days. Paramedics gave me a drug that begins with M, + metropolol + 4 baby aspirin to chew. Finally left the hospital on Multaq and Eliquis after metropolol and Coumadin both gave side effects. Have not had flutter or AFIB, even mild, since then. Occasionally get EKG at the fire/rescue station between doc visits. 400 mg, one with breakfast, one with dinner. Benefit - no AFIB. Side effects - 0. Easy to use."
