For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I have hyperemesis gravidarum (HG)! Have had it with all 6 pregnancies. My last pregnancy (my 5th), my doctor gave me Diclegis, and it changed my whole pregnancy experience! In my previous 4 pregnancies, I suffered for 5-6 months, constantly puking, weak, fatigued, can't get out of bed, can't keep food or water down. In fact, I have been hospitalized with every pregnancy for dehydration and was admitted for 3-5 days where they pumped me up with Phenergan and Zofran (other nausea meds). I would feel a little better, but the nausea was never gone! After my first dose of Diclegis, I immediately felt a difference! Let me be clear, this is the only thing that has ever really helped take away the vomiting and nausea EVER. I've tried everything! During my 5th pregnancy, when I started taking Diclegis, it was the first time I felt relief. I am now pregnant with my 6th child, and I have started Diclegis again because at 6 weeks I'm so sick with nausea and vomiting I can't get out of bed!"

I was prescribed Zofran with my first pregnancy, and the birth defects that were listed that could affect my baby affected my baby. I was so angry and upset with my doctor for telling me it was safe to take. My daughter now has a heart defect. Second pregnancy, I suffered so much more than my first. I found a new OBGYN, and he prescribed me Diclegis. I will say this: it’s a lifesaver. I was vomiting 20-25 times a day, and the nausea never went away. I couldn't drink or eat anything, I lost 15 lbs in 3 weeks. This drug is the only thing that is safe during pregnancy, and it was the only drug that works. I would only recommend this to anyone that suffers from HG."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This drug has saved me from going insane because of how ill I was. I suffered from severe nausea and vomiting in pregnancy. Throwing up for weeks on end, I would throw up every few hours. I went days without being able to keep anything down, including water. Those who suffer from NVP, I know your suffering... it is so awful! I was stuck on the couch and in bed for over a month, and then I finally decided it was time to go on medicine. My quality of life was 0 before this medication. This medicine is definitely on the spendier side but worth every penny if you are suffering. If this medication didn't exist, I would no doubt be in the hospital."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I have always been sick with each pregnancy and was put on Zofran. It worked sometimes. I have been taking Diclegis for about a month, and it works the same as Zofran for me. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. I am up to four pills per day. Sometimes I still throw up and feel nauseous - like today. I guess the best thing for me is to get my tubes tied. I can't deal with this whole pregnancy thing ever again. For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I am thirteen weeks pregnant and have been taking this medicine since 6 weeks. At first, I didn't notice any difference, but one day my nausea disappeared. Completely! I thought that the medicine had nothing to do with it since I was sick for two weeks while taking it. Three times I have forgotten to take it and spent the following day puking. I'm taking this medicine on an as-needed basis. So far, I need one pill at night and another about mid-morning. The original prescription said one in the morning, one in the midday, and two at night. I did that once and slept until 2 pm the next day. That's not healthy either. The only complaint I have is the cost. It ran $178.53 for us. A cost that wasn't expected, but when Phenergan and Zofran aren't working.... you give in. Just as every OTC or prescription, there are side effects. For me, the benefit outweighs the risk. Try to stay away from medication until at least 13 weeks."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I lost 15 lbs due to nausea and vomiting since my 7th week of pregnancy. I was vehemently against taking any medication, but after I researched this medication, I felt that it was as safe as a medication can be during pregnancy. I was at risk of losing my baby due to the significant weight loss, so I am grateful for this safe, completely effective medication. It is working for me at the lowest dose, and I feel I should buy stock in the company selling this wonderful drug. I am able to eat, drink, and maintain a normal lifestyle after weeks of misery. I highly recommend this drug if the traditional methods of managing NVP are not effective for you. I was lucky enough to receive samples from my OBGYN, so I cannot say anything as to cost."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This is my first pregnancy and have been in the hospital twice, and I'm only 8 weeks. I have never been so sick in my entire life, one day I vomited for 16 hours every 15 minutes. Finally, this was prescribed to me, and I started the night I was discharged, and I have not even felt sick one bit. I was doing over-the-counter B6 and Unisom, but it did not seem to work for some reason. This pill is amazing, and I would recommend it to anyone else who is suffering as badly as I did."

Initially, I was given Zofran, but the minute it would wear off, I'd start vomiting again. My doctor switched me to Diclegis a few days ago and I feel great! I previously tried Zofran, which helped minimally, but I was still nauseous and vomiting violently a few times throughout the day. For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I had pretty bad morning sickness starting around my 6th week of pregnancy. I got to where I dreaded waking up the next day because I knew I’d be super nauseous and sometimes vomit. At my first appointment at 8 weeks, I told the doctor I was experiencing nausea and vomiting, and he prescribed me this, and it’s an absolute godsend! Taken at bedtime, I felt much better the next day! You don’t have to worry about this drug because all it is is a high dosage of Vitamin B6 and Unisom. I’m now 27 weeks and still taking it every night because I’ve been feeling good and am scared to stop it and be sick again! Lol. I tried stopping it early in the 2nd trimester but promptly vomited throughout the day, so I plan on continuing to take it because my doctor said it is safe to do so."

I couldn’t relate to negative feedback here, but now with my second pregnancy, it doesn’t work like the first time. I still throw up, I’m still nauseous, I hate the smell and sight of food, but I’m not going to say I’m as miserable as I was with my first pregnancy without this drug. Maybe because I’ve been here before, I know what to eat and what to avoid, or maybe it’s Diclegis working 20 percent only. I hate to say this, but ladies, it doesn’t work every time."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I have been taking Diclegis since I was 11 weeks pregnant. Prior to that, I was vomiting maybe twice a day and felt nauseous all day long (except at night). The first time I took Diclegis, I was in HEAVEN!! I felt so good. I was able to go a full day not even thinking about feeling sick. I thought that would be the effect the whole time. Not! I am 3 weeks in with taking Diclegis, and it seems like the effect of it has worn off to a certain extent. I am back to feeling nauseous most of the day. I will say that the vomiting is still under control, but I vomit maybe once every 4-5 days (which is still progress). I am in my 14th week now, and I want to see how I will feel if I don't take the meds, but I'm scared, lol!"

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Saved my life is an understatement. I suffered so badly with morning sickness with my first daughter, and Zofran didn’t work at all. I was sick the whole 8 months. With this pregnancy, I experienced HG again, but this medicine literally gives me my life back. It does make me a little sleepy, but I’ll take sleepy over nonstop heartburn and vomiting any day."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Diclegis is by far the best medicine for morning sickness. I suffered with all my pregnancies (Hyperemesis Gravidarum), which is severe morning sickness. With this pregnancy, I was prescribed Diclegis, which works wonders. Not even drowsy! No nausea or vomiting. I love this medicine, it is a lifesaver and works great and is completely safe. For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I am 7 weeks pregnant, my midwife gave me samples of Diclegis 5 days ago. Previous to trying them, I had nonstop nausea, vomiting, weakness, truly just felt like death! Day 1 of Diclegis, I was able to wake up, be semi-functional enough to where I was able to get ready for work pretty comfortably, but by mid-morning, all the symptoms came back. On day 3, I added 2 pills at night, 1 in the morning, and 1 in the afternoon, and I can tell you it is a miracle drug! It does take a few days to start working at its full capacity, but after the first few days, you feel almost back to normal! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!"

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "My first trimester of pregnancy has been entirely brutal. Nausea from the time I woke up until I fell asleep, and sometimes even waking up to vomit. Many days I vomited 4-5 times a day. This medicine is not a “cure-all,” but it has helped me immensely. The drowsiness in the mornings is difficult, but it was way less severe than my nausea. This medication has made me feel slightly human again. Many of my other terrible symptoms remain, but my nausea is under much better control with this drug."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Absolutely improved my pregnancy experience by reducing my nausea and vomiting. I was prescribed 2 tablets before bed, 1 in the morning, and 1 mid-day because I was extremely sick. They always recommended it to be taken on an empty stomach. I only took 2 before bed with food (because I refuse to take any pill on an empty stomach), and it worked wonders. If I ever forgot to take them, I was guaranteed a horrible day."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I started out taking 2 nightly, but this medicine seemed to make me so tired I could barely function. I am now taking just 1 a night, and even though I still feel a little nausea, it's not all day, and my vomiting has gone away for the most part. It wasn't expensive for me. My insurance did not cover this drug, but I only had to pay $40 for 60 pills. It's a small price to pay for me right now!"

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This is my third pregnancy. My previous pregnancies, I had horrible nausea and vomiting. Took Zofran from the time I found out I was pregnant until the day I gave birth. With this pregnancy, however, Zofran wasn't working for nothing!!! Got prescribed Diclegis and took 1 at night (last night), made me very sleepy. Woke up and felt a million times better, though. I haven't felt like this in months! I finally feel normal! This is a lifesaver, my copay was $50, but it was worth every dollar! It's now 8:30 pm the next day, and I still feel pretty good off last night's pill. It did put me out like a light, but reading other reviews, the drowsiness shouldn't last long."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "With my 1st pregnancy, I suffered from severe morning sickness to the point that I lost a significant amount of weight. With my second pregnancy, I started getting very sick again and mentioned it to a nurse at my OB-GYN office, and she prescribed me Diclegis. Prior to that, I had tried many other homeopathic solutions such as the Sea Bands and ginger. None of these worked for me. The Diclegis worked from the morning after I first took it until now. At 12 weeks pregnant, I thought I might be out of the woods, so I stopped taking the Diclegis last night. I have been nauseous all day and vomiting! It is obvious that these meds work. I will be taking them again for the next 2 weeks. Only complaint is I'm more fatigued than usual when taking it."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "At 10-25 weeks, my nausea never let up. When I say nausea, I actually mean vomiting. Every other day, I knew my meals were not going to end well. I expected this during the first trimester, but upon approaching my third trimester, I knew something had to give. I don't expect any drug to work tremendously during the first trimester. Since nausea/vomiting is supposed to 'return' during the third trimester, I decided to try this as the baby is now more developed. It worked wonderfully; I have been on it for one week and can now eat with confidence! I still have some mild, although less, heartburn. This is the only reason I rated 9/10. It would truly be a miracle drug if it could get rid of the heartburn I developed during pregnancy too!"
