For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "My first two pregnancies, my doctor said I had HG. I popped all blood vessels in both my eyes and was so desperate and miserable not keeping anything down. My third pregnancy, my doctor finally told me about Diclegis! What a lifesaver! I no longer had to have a Zofran pump in my stomach or walk around my house with an IV pole! The first dose, I was tired, took a nap right away! The next few days, I was tired too. But I had to take 3-4 a day every day until I delivered my baby. So the tiredness wore off. I could drive and function just fine after taking it for a week or two. I'd rather be tired than have black eyes, look like a zombie, not be able to keep down an ice cube, and cry 100 times a day. If you're really suffering, this is worth it!"

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I started taking Diclegis at 7 weeks (was totally against medicine, but the nausea was unbearable). I was so glad I did try it because it worked like magic. Huge difference the following day if I didn't take it at night. It also helped with my moodiness and oversensitivity to smell. 11 weeks later, I am discontinuing use of it - hoping I can manage the symptoms myself. I did not get side effects at first, but about 9-10 weeks into taking it (16-17 weeks of pregnancy), I started to lose sleep at night and stay tired all day. Since not taking Diclegis, I can sleep at night now. I think my body just got used to it and started to react with hyperactivity. Also noticed reduced fetal movement while taking it versus not."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I have been feeling pretty nauseous all day (first trimester of pregnancy), and my healthcare provider gave me a sample of this drug to try. I wanted to share my experience, as all I've read are glowing reviews. Glad it's working for some people, but I have to imagine there are others who experienced something similar to me. I have taken it now for 3-4 days, which should have been enough time to get a feel for whether or not it works. It did absolutely nothing for my nausea. If anything, it made me feel worse. I was so tired I couldn't function. Had to lay down in the middle of the day for a few hours, feeling so tired and sick. I didn't take any last night, and today I feel better than I have since I started taking it!"

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This medicine works wonders! I was having severe nausea and vomiting every morning to the point I was losing so much weight. My doctor prescribed me Diclegis. I take 2 at night and one during the day because of how tired it makes me. Ever since I've been taking it, I've been able to hold down food and water, and I've also gained an appetite. Without these, I wouldn't be able to go to work. I love them!"

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This was a lifesaver for me. I had HG with 1st and was on Zofran only, which caused a lot of constipation and cramping from not being able to go. This second pregnancy, I had HG worse than 1st and was on Zofran and Diclegis. Diclegis took about 2 weeks of taking it 3 times a day to kick in, so Zofran helped until it kicked in. Now Diclegis is all I take 4 times a day and no constipation, and I finally enjoy being pregnant. It makes me tired, but it's good for me to relax since I'm a very active person. I only need a 30-minute catnap and I'm okay. I can still easily take care of my toddler, I just lay down when she does."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I started taking this during the first trimester. I'm usually against taking medicine, but I was so sick. So, I figured it was worth a try. At first, I didn't notice any change. I mean, I was still slightly sick. I was expecting the nausea to disappear completely like Zofran would have done. I kind of thought it wasn't working, so I decided to stop taking it... big mistake... my nausea was severe once I stopped taking it. I decided to give it another go. By comparison, I could tell that it was working. I still feel tired, and certain things still make me feel sick (like strong smells and certain foods), but I am nowhere near as sick as I would be if I stopped taking it. I can totally tell if I miss a dose."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I hate this drug! I feel exhausted all the time on it, and it does not help at all! My doctor told me I can no longer take Zofran during the first trimester due to a study that said there might be issues, so she put me on Diclegis first. I have tried it for 2 weeks and am absolutely miserable! I am still throwing up and have nausea all day and night. I have always had horrible morning sickness and was hoping this would work. Sadly, it does not, all it does is make me want to sleep all day long! To make things worse, even with my insurance covering most of the cost, it still costs over $80.00 for a month’s supply. That is crazy!"

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I have been on Diclegis since 6 weeks. I am now at 12 weeks with baby number 3. Both my other pregnancies, I was on Zofran for horrible nausea. I was taking 2 pills at night, but it just made me so tired and not able to function, and with a 3 and 2-year-old, that was not worth it. I cut down to 1 pill at night. I feel a lot better, but some days I do take Zofran as well, so I can function."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I had extreme nausea, couldn't keep water down, much less any kind of food. I tried 4 different medications before the Diclegis. Only one of those 4 worked, but I felt so drugged, and I was slurring my words. I'm extremely tired with the Diclegis, but I can keep some food and water down. I'm taking 2 at night, 1 in the morning, and 1 at noon. My house is messy a lot, and my 2-year-old sometimes wears pajamas all day because I'm so tired. It's not a perfect medicine, but it's better than not being able to walk across the room without almost fainting and going to the ER once a week for IV fluids and nutrition."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I started out taking 2 nightly, but this medicine seemed to make me so tired I could barely function. I am now taking just 1 a night, and even though I still feel a little nausea, it's not all day, and my vomiting has gone away for the most part. It wasn't expensive for me. My insurance did not cover this drug, but I only had to pay $40 for 60 pills. It's a small price to pay for me right now!"

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Diclegis helps, but it does not work completely. You will still have vomiting and have to take it often if your morning sickness is severe. It can make you very tired and give you an out-of-sorts feeling. It was expensive as well at $40.00 a week worth of pills."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I was prescribed 2 pills at night before bedtime, and this was a lifesaver. Before these pills, I was throwing up and nauseous all day, every day. Around eight weeks, my doctor prescribed me this, and I took it the first night. I woke up and was actually able to eat and function through the day. The only side effect is being more tired in the morning, but I’ll take that over throwing up all day long."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "It has helped a little, not all of my sickness is gone. I feel overly exhausted and drowsy! I have been on it for about five or so weeks. I am taking it four times a day now, and I can feel major sleepiness! Just glad it has eased my nausea at least!"

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This medication was a lifesaver. I went to the ER twice with dehydration from severe vomiting. I couldn’t keep any food or water down. I was diagnosed with HG and sent home with a prescription for Diclegis and Zofran. I did not take the Zofran, but took the Diclegis religiously. It didn’t stop me from feeling ill right away, but it took the edge off and I could continue to work. I was still nauseous but able to eat again. After a month on the medicine, I was gaining weight (after having lost 15 lbs of prepregnancy weight), and I was eating like a champ! Yes, this medicine does make you EXTREMELY tired, but I’d rather fight the day tired than throwing up. (25 weeks and still taking it because I’m still sick)"
