"Dexamethasone 4 mg (equivalent to 25 mg of Prednisone) has been effective in reducing inflammation considerably within four months, in conjunction with Humira. Side effects were less than Prednisone, and tapering to stop the dosage of Dexamethasone is taking place over a month. Humira will continue indefinitely. The patient is highly sensitive to Prednisone, and a high dose would not have been tolerated. While the high dose of Dexamethasone did cause side effects mentally and physically, it was able to be tapered to 1 mg within 2 months due to rapidly reducing inflammation."

"Seems to have been very effective in reducing inflammation rapidly. Able to take a lesser dose than prednisone was to be prescribed. Less side effects on the brain than Pred, but quite hard on stomach, however, prescribed meds helped to relieve this. Overall, a great improvement in conditions."
