"Went to the ER for an abscess on my foot that had swollen very large from infection. I was given this new antibiotic that is just a once or twice IV infusion, which took about 30 mins. The very next day I woke up to my foot swelling, having gone down quite considerably, and the boil head now was just this half-circle bubble with air, some clear liquid, and a bit of possible dead skin mixed in. The bubble was about the diameter of a quarter. My foot and ankle felt so much better, and while I tried to let my body do its thing with that bubble, I finally just popped it like a blister. I had to go to an outpatient infusion for the final round, but that only took about a half-hour. The two times before when I had the exact same abscess in my foot and one on my arm, I had to be hospitalized for a week of IV antibiotics. This is an alternative that should be an option known by a lot more doctors. Hope you have insurance, it's $5k outpatient, and the ER was paid $35k for it. No side effects noticed."

"I was given 1500 of Dalvance for MRSA. A blood test indicated that Dalvance had cleared it up. Two months later, I ask the Infectious Disease Specialist for another infusion of 1500 as a precaution. Now, 7 months later, I have a full-blown MRSA in my replaced knee. I can say that I lost my belief that Dalvance will make you well."
